Terms and Conditions
for the use of the
Seniors and Friends Website

Site Participation

Members are encouraged to play the fullest part in the life of Seniors and Friends--through the Forum and the Shoutbox.   Helpful ideas, comments and constructive critique are welcome.  Courtesy and consideration toward fellow members is expected and any blatantly derogatory comments, suggestive and sexual connotations and unsavory comments, will be removed by the Seniors & Friends Moderators and Administrators.  Failure to comply with this simple requirement may result in being temporarily banned from the Seniors & Friends website or if repeated, a total ban from Seniors & Friends.


Advice and validity of posts
The management does not actively monitor posts and is not responsible for their validity or content. We do not warrant the accuracy of any information posted.  Postings express the views of the member and are not necessarily the views of Seniors & Friends.  Members remain solely responsible for the content of their posts.

By posting or submitting any material (including, without limitation, text, photos and videos) to the Site, you represent and warrant: (i) that you are the owner of the material, or that the owner of the material has consented to your use; and (ii) that you are thirteen years old or older. You will be solely responsible for any damages resulting from any infringement of copyrights, proprietary rights, or any other harm resulting from any uploading, posting or submission.


Offensive Photos and Graphics
In addition our no-nudity policy, any photograph or graphic that is deemed to be offensive may be removed at the discretion of the Administrators.  Any member may report a photograph or graphic as offensive and if the report is found to be justified, the photograph or graphic will be removed as soon as possible and the poster notified with an appropriate caution.   Continued posting of such photographs and graphics will result in the member concerned being banned on a temporary or permanent basis as required.


Links to other websites
Seniors and Friends may include links to websites that are owned and maintained by members and other third parties.  Members are solely responsible for exercising due care in posting links, bearing in mind that this is a family site. Links to such sites do not constitute an endorsement by Seniors and Friends which is not responsible for the content of such sites.


Copyright
Members should usually only upload photos and graphics that they have taken or created by themselves, and for which they own the copyright. However, members may upload other photos, providing they have the legal right to do so, and they must clearly state the true source and ownership.  All photographs and graphics remain the copyright and property of the owner.

Unless authorized in these Terms of Service or by the owner of the materials, you may not modify, copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit, translate, sell, create derivative works, exploit, or distribute in any manner or medium (including by email or other electronic means) any material from the Site.

We reserve the right, at any time and without notice, to suspend, cancel, or terminate your right to use the Site (or any portion of the Site) for violation (whether repeated or not) of copyrights or any other rights belonging to us or a third party.

Any modification of images posted by members may only be carried out with the express permission or by invitation of the member concerned.  This rule does not apply to Fun Stuff or similar challenges where manipulation is permitted.


Copying Posts from One Topic to Another
You may not copy the post of another participant from one discussion into another discussion. Individuals participate in the discussions they choose. It's not up to someone else to take another participant's words and post them in other discussions.


Help/Assistance
If you need any help or advice on how to use our site, please contact one of the Admin team members, Pat, Rae or Oldiesmann (who’s names appear in red) or any of the Moderators (who’s names appear in blue).  If you click on any one of their names in the Forum, you can go to their profile and send them a Private Message.   Any one of us will do what we can to help you.


Complaints
Any complaints against another member must be addressed to an Administrator and not in a forum or in the Shoutbox. Disputes and problems will be handled privately in a fair and discreet manner so as not to be disruptive.
