Oldiesmann: Relevant links can be found in topics in the Homemaking, Food & Garden board. I'll see about moving them over to articles here when I get a chance.

Oldiesmann: Found them. They're on the CP site: https://www.christianphotographers.com/recipes/recipeindex.html

Oldiesmann: I'm not finding anything related to recipes on the site. I'll do some digging through the Internet Archive and see if I can dig them up. It's possible that got lost in the big server crash back in 2016

JeanneP: I am trying to get into the Archives of the Recipes that where moved over from Senior net few years ago, Can't find them

Domestic Goddess: Pollock Fillets seasoned with Mrs. Dash Lemon Pepper, Bush's Best Brown Sugar Hickory Baked Beans, Green Grapes and Chocolate Chip Cookies that my husband prepared.  Sorry about the previous type error with my last post.

Domestic Goddess: Is this correct, if one would like to post/share a recipe, we do so here?  If so, was searching to see if there were separate recipe categories?

Oldiesmann: The chat can be accessed from the menu but I don't kow how often anyone is in there

Beverly, I love these! Thank you and I love this site! In my opinion, we have long needed a forum just for old SeniorNet and S&F friends!

BEVERLY....
...I have to say a thank you for this lovely photo as well, as my communications with Norm Tock came across as a real sweetie, someone who had time for everyone, including me with a helpful email, via his contact of a promise for me to keep him up to date, re, medical issues.....so good memories indeed, even though like others, I never had the pleasure to actually meet him....

We smile through our sadness that these members aren't with us today...

What a handsome man our Norm was...but then dont thy all look smartly turned out, dressed in their service uniforms...

( That photo was taken a year before I was born )..

angelface555

I remember Norm and Papa John and their "squabbling" over height and who paid the check. It was lovely to see such good friends. Then Norm's bird photographs and his emails we had back and forth over jigsaws and his granddaughter or grandson playing on his computer, skiing in Germany and then he would have to fix it. A lovely man that I wish I could have met in person along with MaryAnn when she was in Alaska!

Jackie, I was also born in 1951.

Mary Ann

Beverly, thanks for posting that picture.  I had not seen it before and maybe Dot hasn't either.  Anyway, I saved it and I'll send a copy to her.

The army picture of Norm was taken in 1951, the year he was drafted.  We probably took the picture at Camp Custer which is/was near Battle Creek, about 50 miles south of Grand Rapids.

Bubble, I had trouble copying the picture you posted (as I usually do) but I was able to save it.  I'll see that Dot gets a copy too.  She may or may not have seen it.

Thanks for posting the pictures; I enjoyed them.  I'll send them to Tom, too.

Beverly

Mary Ann - Did you see both pictures I posted? The first one was Norm and Dot alone.

Mary Ann

Yes, Beverly, I saw both of the pictures you posted, copied them and saved them.  But it was one from Bubble that I could not copy and save as I usually do, but I was able to save it.  When I save a picture it goes into Download and copying and saving pictures goes into my documents.  Any port in a storm!

Now I'll tackle the last few pictures Bubble posted - good ones.

Papa John was before my time of joining S & Fs, although I was aware of his name on here, yet never came across any of his postings, but...I have heard so many mention of the jovial banters between Papa John and Norm that I wish I had been a part of it, I could just imagine what fun these two must have been together.....we sure could do with some fun banter and friendly " squabbling's, " on here now between a couple of devoted friends......

ANGELFACE....
......I am an " Aries " born in March....what are you? :)

angelface555

I loved all the photos and have saved all of them. I lost many on the 2008 computer crash, but somewhere I have the CD Adrienne sent me of the bash she copied for many. And I have a set from Lake Louise with many feeding and interacting with that friendly chipmunk.

Jackie, you would have loved PJ and Norm, they were both such larger than life characters!

I had to look up my horoscope, and while I am not a party animal, it says I'm a Leo as I was born at the end of July.

Sue is a very nice looking lady that I don't recall unless it is SCF Sue?

Lindancer

I am enjoying all the photos and posting. Although I have never met anyone.

This isn't SCF Sue - don't know who it is, though.

SCFSue

There used to be another Sue on SeniorNet.  She stopped posting much after her husband died about 5 or 6 years ago.  She visited Bubble in Israel (I think).

You're right, Rammel.  At least I think she was SueB.  I had a bad fall (from my roof) in April and my short term memory is not great yet.

SCFSue, sorry to hear about the fall.  I hope you have a speedy recovery.

SueB it is and that picture was taken in my living room, when she toured Israel with her cousin. I think her husband dies less than two years ago.

Beverly

Bubble - Very nice picture of SueB......I think she was at one of the big SN Bashes (maybe the one in Pennsylvania....) I'll search through some of my bash pictures and see if I can find her.

SueB

Hi all.  It touches my heart to know you remember me.  It's been a tough haul since Don died almost 2 years ago.  We were at the Calgary Bash and it was so well organized and such fun.  We met so many people but so many names are gone from my head.  That was Sept. 2003 which I suddenly realized was after I retired.  Wow, am I old!

One lady from SN I met in Ohio.  She had been living in her car but by the time I met her she was living with her son in an apartment.  Also met a couple in Indiana.  We stopped in to meet them at a restaurant as we headed to Ohio and CT to visit family.

I remember Tpik Dave who helped so many of us with computer learning.  Also Jerry from New Zealand who also helped us.  We met Dave and his lovely wife in Oregon twice at SN events.  I don't recall who else was there for those events.  Near Coos Bay maybe.

And yes I visited Bubble in Israel.  If I can get the house cleared out and sold so I'm not so overwhelmed all the time, maybe I'll make it there again.

It would be nice to have a S&N gathering.

SueB

I see that I'm labeled a newbie.  I'm one of the original S&Ners.

Beverly

SueB -  SeniorNet abruptly dropped their forum and we were left "homeless"! We were all "newbies" when Pat Scott Halbach opened this new site for us. Glad to see you posting and hope to see you often.
