Yes. The Orlando Shooting is on every station now.  So far 51  killed and 53 to the hospital Some serious.  It is the worse shooting ever in the US they are saying. What I don't understand is how one Man could kill that many and also how did he get into a club with all those Guns.  He would not have had time to reload. We are a long way from having good Security anywhere yet . Have hired so many more Police. (New York more than 5000)  They have just gone to get them out of the police cars and walking the areas like it was years ago.

Linedancer--How nice that it is warm enough to sit in comfort on your porch.  Lucky you to have a neighborhood handyman.

Vanilla-Jackie--I have to men scheduled to come this week to do two jobs for me.  Sure hope they show up.  Thanks for the link.

June--What did you have good to eat.

JeanneP--Easy for the shooter to get into that club.  The had no security detectors, cameras or pat downs.  He had so many clips loaded that after one was empty he flipped it out on the floor, inserted another and kept shooting.

June Drabek

Jackie, I could not watch that video of Jesus and the suffering.

Joan, I had a phone call from my old friend Harry. He was a long time Marine, and he said with all the horror in our country and especially what is happening in Florida, the Pres. should declare Martial Low. I tend to agree with him. We are doing nothing except more police that cannot be everywhere at all times. Martial Law would close down the streets at Sundown from what I understand.
I had a big lunch...Chicken Cordon Bleu, half a baked potato with butter and sour cream, a serving of broccoli, plus a serving of carrots. A glass of tomato juice, two cups of coffee, and took home half of the chicken, and a dessert of cheese cake which I will have later. I am supposed to gain weight, and I'm doing my best, as you can see.
Tomorrow I go to see my doctor. First time to be going there instead of her coming here. Rowntree has a driver that will take me, at a price, but I'm not going to worry about that.

My body is telling me it is nap time, so I think I shall go and oblige. I wish you all God's Peace. June

After Newton and the little children, all bets are off.

Joy

Jackie,  that was a beautiful video......  Thanks for sharing.

(June,  a different video must have come up, because the link that Jackie posted was beautiful and I think you would have liked it. It was called   "What Will It Matter".)

Beautiful music to go with it, also.  And, such a meaningful message.

The video I got was of the crucifixtion of Christ, and awful punishment he received before, plus a great deal of chains and blood. None of which was biblical.

This is what I received. A black screen. with arrows to the right and left. I clicked on the right, and it was not beautiful.

LARRY  I cannot find search. Right now I hate 10.  I only installed 10 because I kept getting that blue screen. It finally stayed there long enough for me to read it and it said the OS was corrupted to uninstall and reinstall it. I do not have a disk for 7 pro. Maybe I should have installed my 7 home. Spent too long looking for IE again but could not find it. I want something I am used to.

PATRICIA  we had a sunny day but very windy. As the sun went down so did the temperature. I want Internment Explorer. I do not like anything about 10 so far. In my IM none of the stats coming in show up at all. They showed up Friday just fine.

ANY  very windy here today, too.

JACKIE  that terrible shooting in Orlando is about all that has been on TV here all day.

JOAN  with your internet out you had a break from the PC.

GLORIA de  I had to close my window down almost all the way, the wind was blowing things around.

Jackie  wonderful clip, thank you for sharing.

JOY  hi, have mot seen you post lately. Hope you are OK.

I refuse to look at 10 again tonight and will check email and tel the computer to go to bed.

June - I've sent you a PM. Hope this helps.

Joy

Gloria,  "Hi " back to you.  I  had a real bad sinus infection for over a week and just coughed and coughed, which really exhausted me.
So, I have not been on the computer that much.   I am feeling lots better, just takes time to get your strength back as you get older.
Thanks for thinking of me.

Joan, after Newton and the children, it seems to have become a regular occurrence. The children's deaths seemed to be not a  bother to many folks as the shootings are still going on.

June Drabek

Beverly, Thank you so very much. I followed your directions and what I saw was truly beautiful…what a contrast to the right click. You are so kind, and I appreciate your help.

Jackie, I saw what your directed us too, and it was in great difference to what I viewed with the right click. Beverly took me to what you meant for us to see, and it was very, very beautiful. Thank you.

Joy, I am so glad you are feeling better. Do take the time to really heal. I make the mistake of over-doing too soon, and then find myself down again. It is so true that the older we get the longer it takes to heal. I pray you improve more day by day.
As long as we are here, let's dance.

I have covered all the usual places I visit and there are no replies, so I will say Goodnight to all, and wishing everyone a happy, healthful tomorrow. God Bless you all, with Love, Prayers and Hugs. June. :smitten:

"I cannot find search."

In the lower left corner, next to the Windows icon, there should be a circle saying Ask me anything.
Click in that box and the search box should open.

"Spent too long looking for IE again but could not find it."

If you type    internet   in that box, the Internet Explorer link should show up at the top of the left column.

Food For Thought

The Day The Cricket Preached
Author Unknown)

As a youth, I squirmed through many a worship service. This particular Sunday was to have an added distraction. As soon as the preacher got up to deliver his sermon, a cricket walked out onto the stage. He probably came from one of the cracks that were to be found most anywhere in the old building. Everyone in the first three rows saw the cricket. He looked dazed, and stumbled near the edge of the pulpit area. Our eyes followed his every step. We could see that he had to come to the other edge again, and we shouted to ourselves, "Jump! Jump!" But alas, the cricket did not jump. Time after time he walked back and forth. I don't know if the sermon was any good that day, but the cricket was sure fun to watch. When the invitation song began, we all stood up and watched the cricket run. He almost got stepped on when the song leader walked toward the microphone, and we all laughed. Then my laughter turned to amazement. Someone had gone forward! My dad. He wasn't a Christian, and my mom and I had been trying for years to get him to come to church with us, to no avail until today. Now the preacher was taking him back to baptize him.

"Dad," I asked later. "What made you want to be baptized today?" Dad asked, "Didn't you hear how Jesus gave His life for us so that we could be saved?" I hung my head in shame. The beautiful message of the Bible did not reach me that day. I had been watching the cricket.

To this day, I believe that cricket was preaching to me. He was saying, "Watch me! Jesus isn't important. I'm more fun!" Since then there have been many more crickets walk across the stage: fretful babies, sneezes, coughs, etc. A lot of things will tend to distract a person from worshiping God. But I learned my lesson. God is more important than anything.

Every time God's Word is being preached, the devil is nearby! Jesus said, "And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts" (Mark 4:15).

What "cricket" are you watching in worship?

Edited, oh I see you found it, sorry you had to witness some un-pleasantries, I wouldn't have watched Jesus suffering either....shame on them for adding that video onto what should have been a pleasant experience....

Has the garden furniture arrived yet?

Vanilla-Jackie

Junee, no, was told sometime last week but no one has yet got back to me, although they were quick to take our money the day I placed the order....In hindsight our couple of outside workers havnt turned up this morning, ( of course they will still be working somewhere else, ) at least this time boss gave R a phonecall 9.am, its all to do with our damp and dreary weather, re, painting and sealing...I am not falling for that one as it will brighten up later on but, saying this I wouldnt want our patio furniture here whilst painting is going on around our decking area anyway, but I will still be chasing company up as to what is happening with my order.....

Good morning Joan, I see once again all the J's are coming in.....hm, I can smell those sausages from here......:yum:

Good morning Vanilla-Jackie.  I watched that first link and now today's link.  Thanks.

junee--Good morning/afternoon.  They say that was the worst act of terrorism in US history.  The TV has had it on non-stop--even through the night.

Vanilla-Jackie--Good morning/afternoon.  I sure hope your workers show up when the weather is conducive to doing the work.

Good morning, Amy.  Enjoy the potluck with your quilting group.  I sent Sun an email last week, but didn't receive an answer.

Lloyd--Good morning to you.

Good Morning Everyone!

Amy, Sun had her hands operated on, so I assume she is recuperating from the operation.  I hope she is doing well and we will see her smiling face soon.

Cloudy morning here, but hot and humid.  I need to put the water on outside in the front yard.  I kept hoping we would get a good shower, but the old summer high has moved in over us.  Always a possibility of a little popup shower but they never amount to much.

The shooting in Orlando is only one in a series of Radical Muslim Attacks and you can count on more.  Just try and be aware of what is going on around you.
They are going to be a way of life from here on out until people realized we are in a war and take appropriate action.

Everyone have a great day.

Hi everyone.  Another clear and hot day but not suppose to be as hot as yesterday when it got up to about 100 degrees.

Yesterday after church we went by Firehouse Subs and Pat waited in the car to keep it cool while I went in to get a sub for our lunch.  When we got home we found the sub wasn't the one I ordered but it was still very good and made a good lunch.  They were training someone new on the order station and we all have to learn.  Today should be a pretty quiet day as only thing I have on the schedule is to attend my regular Monday Noon meeting.

Gloria, as I recall that update cycle on the initial install of Windows 10 took several iterations. I work basically from my Desktop rather than use the icons from Windows 10.  I use an app called Speed Dial 2 and when I find a sight I will revisit I create a Dial on my desktop.  It is basically the same thing as setting a shortcut but has a nice interface and is easy to use.  I see Don has left good instructions for you on finding the search line.  You can do a lot of things from that little box.

Jackie, hopefully all of the repair and replacement will soon be a thing of the past for you and you can set about enjoying your new home completely.  Glad the carpet man did show up even if the painters didn't. That is a terrible event in Orlando and I have to wonder how can you hate people you don't even know.
The scary thing is that we are being told, and example proves, that these attacks will continue.  Now they are being carried out by radicalized American citizens.

June, I cannot agree that marshal law should be declared as these attacks can just as easily be carried out in the daytime as Patricia mentioned the attack of the little children at Newton. However, each of us is entitled to our own opinions.

Joy, glad to see you are feeling well enough to post again.  Sinus infections are miserable things.

Junee, when life is valued including your own, as seems to be the case with these terrorists, it is a very difficult situation.  Our nation is never going to be the same.

Joan, I don't understand the necessity of the news channels having 24 hour coverage of these terrible events.  For the most part they just say the same thing over and over.  I want to be aware of what is happening but I don't have to be told the same thing many times.

Gloria

Good morning everyone, does anyone know how I can uninstall this 10? I was up most of the night with it and is still takes over what I want and does it a harder way. That and my email is messed up except for my gmail. None of the PSP stationery sows up and it is driving me crazy.

JOY  hope you are feeling much better now.

DONKLAN  thank you. I have not activated cortana yet. Seems like every thing I click on wants another password and I am running out of them. I did finally find IE. I use Incredimail and that is only showing a short page that I cannot make bigger.  I use that one because I enjoy making stationery in PSP. Too big a change with 10 for my tired ole brain I guess. Never had trouble with new versions of Windows before. If I get away from it for a day maybe I will get to understand it with a fresh mind.

JOAN  this is a noisy place this morning. Landscapers are ere spreading new mulch around and making a lot of noise. Since ai did not go to bed till almost 6 this morning I would like to be sleeping. Glad I never worked in a place with posted like the ones you posted today.  Good chuckles. Love food for Thought, another one to keep. Thank you for all today's goodies.

LARRY  do not know how much more I can take before I just shut the PC down and get rid of it. My CNA  will be here soon and she was telling me she has 10 and likes it. Maybe she can help me.

Good morning, halkel.  It's steamy hot here today, too.  I had to change the channel, because I wsas watching the ABC affiliate, and they are just repeating and repeating after being on the air since 2 a.m. yesterday.

Larry--Good morning.  I was a stroke of luck that you and Pat liked the sub you received although it wasn't what you ordered.  When I get something from a fast-food drive through, I always open the bag/container to be sure my order is correct because many times it is not.

Good morning, Gloria.  I am truly sorry you're having such difficulty with Windows 10.  Maybe a day away from it and you'll be "on board".
