Domestic Goddess: Is this correct, if one would like to post/share a recipe, we do so here?  If so, was searching to see if there were separate recipe categories?

This is one of the reasons that my vet once told me that an indoor-only cat can now live between 24 to 26 years. I had one live to 22 and one to 20 years. She further added that on the average, an outdoor or indoor-outdoor cat lived 5 to 8 years. People always have instances where their pet was different, but these are the ones cited by those notables. I used to think of them as throw away pets.

Here is a European Goldfinch in  Breading plumage. The  colours become quite intense when in the breading season.

I haven't altered this photo at all. I think he was calling to a lady in this photo

Chocky, that is a beautiful bird. Wonderful photo.

Chocky

Here is a pair of Great tits.

You can tell the difference by the male has a thicker bib and his black stripe which goes all the way down and round to his tail where the female's black stripe dwindles out half way down her abdomen.

Look like two little friends going for a walk.

Jeanne Lee

It looks as though they're a little reluctant to put a foot down.   ;D

The duck plays a minor role in this picture, but I wanted to share.  It was taken in the Japanese Garden in Portland, OR.  It took me a while to be sure that the bird was real, not bronze, he was sitting so still (there are some metal birds elsewhere).  He stood there for a long time before flying off.

MarsGal

Great picture, Pat. At my first glance, I too thought it was a bronze. I had to look at it again, more closely.

Chocky

Lovely picture. Well done

That is so gorgeous.

Thank you

I'm not feeling too good at the moment. A bit Fatigued from all the treatment I have had chucked at me. So I won't be out taking too many photos.

Here is another I thought was rather nice . It's not the same bird though.

Cocky, nice captures.  I love all the photos but my favorite is the Goldfinch.  The colors on that bird are just beautiful.
