Bis, here too, we get so much food in a serving  that I can take home half for supper, so even tho we are entitled to three meals a day, I just go for lunch. Today I ordered half serving, as my appetite is nil some days so I just had a handful of ritz crackers and a container of ensure for supper and I am content. I am vey glad that Joe's beach home is all O.K. And I am so happy Bis that you are near to your family now. It means so much to me being near Gary and Dori.
As long as we are here, let's dance.

well it is time to bid you all a good night and sweet dreams.
I am too tired to do a long talk about wm but  I had a problem with a employ one time and went to customer service and  they gave me the 800 # in Bentenville ark. ( the main offices in this area) they were very good to handle the problem and even sent me a $100.00 gift card and a very nice letter of thanks. Have a great rest of the evening.

MYCHEAL, when you order on line from WM the payment is made on line.  When you go there to pick it up, it's already been paid.  There is nothing in place for processing the SNAP cards by phone.  Their rule is "in person only".  There is no payment that changes hands when the order is picked up.  With Schwans, you pay on delivery so they can process the SNAP card face to face with the customer.

Good Night Everyfriend!  And may God bless us, every one!

Not sure when I posted last, but did want to say HELLO tonight.

My knee is much better, thanks to those of you who asked.  I am treating it very gingerly.

I had to do a 24 hour test with urine, so finished that this morning and had to take it to,the doctors office and get a blood test done.  Got that taken care of, then we decided to drive up to Black Hawk.  Beautiful drive, lovely lunch, but  way too much $ given to the slots!

Brian drove from Austin early this morning with Oliver the Doodle and arrived here about 6:30PM.  It is a 15 hour drive.  Sure was happy to see them drive in.  Brian goes back to Austin on Friday as the house goods will be packed after the 4th of July.  Then he will drive their second car up.

I must get to bed.  So happy your hubby will be allowed to go home tomorrow, AMY.

Pleasant dreams to all.

Good morning Everyfriend!

I'm here to report no bad repercussions from my crazy accident yesterday.  When they redid the front end (cash registers) at my WM to include self checkouts at both ends, two of the posts that used to be on the outside of the registers moved to the inside of the registers.  When it's necessary to go around the registers to shoot something large, the post is right in the way.  I've bumped it many times but yesterday, I really whacked my head bad enough to see stars in every color of the spectrum.  Everyone was telling me to sit down and they brought me an ice pack.  I didn't sit but I did use the ice pack and the large lump went away and I never did get a headache.

Management came by and wanted me to fill out an accident report and I said it wasn't necessary.  All through all of this, I was being thankful that my daughter didn't know because she would have alerted all my kids.  Unfortunately, a young guy that used to work for my son saw it all.  Of course, he called my son who called my daughter who called both other daughters so they all knew before I ever got home from work.  My daughter stopped by to see "how I was doing".  Nothing ever happens quietly or personally in a small town.  Everyone knows!  However, I'm fine today and I slept well last night because I didn't allow myself to sleep during the day and I was tired buty the time I went to bed.

All's well that end's well!

I'm sure this was more than anyone wanted or needed to know but there you have it.  Make your day the best yet!

Good morning everyone...

Gentle hugs Janie, I hope you told the manager the reason what caused you to fall.

Tis so nice to have hubby home, no running daily to the city!!! Now our house is a home with him and his rollator... :smitten:

Have home care calling today and I am not sure what they can do, if they pile wood then I will order the 3 rd load but I do doubt it. :2funny:

Better go get ready for the day....both dogs are sticking right to hubby, making sure he stays put .

Enjoy your day everyone..

Amy I know what you are saying about Home. and from when I had the knee replacement and the home care giver's came they are great things they do and teach you to do. they gave me things to make things easier to do.two things I remember is device to put your sock on and poke your foot in it  while you can't pick foot up or bend far enough & and a 2 foot long shoe spoon. put it in the  back of your shoe and help put your foot in the shoe. I still use it. God bless you and keep you patent  with him. we humans when we are recuperating can be short on patent's our selves so you have to have more.
Have a great day

Lloyd, I prefer "knothead" to "old and stupid".

AMY, I didn't fall.  I ran full tilt into the post.  I hit my head so hard it bounced off the post like a soccer ball.  Maybe I rearranged everything and I'll be able to remember more stuff.

It sure must feel good to have your guy home again!  And even if those people don't pile wood, I bet you'll find the time to do it now.  You're very resourceful!

I'm off to take some stuff out of the dryer and put more stuff in.  I don't know who is around here making all this laundry but I wish they'd learn to wear their own clothes and then take them home with them.  I certainly have a lot of laundry for one person and a couple of sloppy dogs.

Guud Wednesday morning Everyfriend.

Janie-good morning.  I am so glad you had no lasting repercussions from yesterday.s accident.

Good morning, Amy.  I know you all are glad to have your husband home.  I have had home health care two different times.  Those services I received only dealt with medical issues--changing dressings, flushing l9ines, PT, OT and nurse's visits.

Lloyd--Good morning.  Oh my--not nice what you tell Nancy about a headache.

Housekeeper comes today for the fast time since I moved here.  I'll be interested to see how she does.  By the way, her name is Jenny.

Hi everyone. We are headed for another day weather wise like yesterday with a lot of clouds and a high temperature around 90 degrees.  Today is going to be a pretty busy one after a couple of quiet days.  This morning I am taking my PT Cruiser in to have the A/C repaired.  I don't use it very often but when I want to drive it I want it to be cool.  Pat will pick me up there and I will take her back to the Church for her crafts group and go on to coffee.  At 11:15 I have my doctor's appointment with the lung doctor related to the use of my CPAP machine.  Then I will pick up Pat and come home.  This evening Jennifer and Scott will be over for dinner and to spend the evening.

Joan, I am trying not to allow myself to think about being tired this morning as have commitments to attend to.  By the time I get things ready for Pat's breakfast on scrambled egg day and then empty the dishwasher I am pretty exhausted but fortunately can sit at my desk, as I am now doing, and recover a bit.  It takes awhile to get settled into a new place and then trying to remember where you put things.

Gloria, someone was just not paying attention to your lunch meat order.  We have not tried to order lunch meat in the online ordering.  Glad to see you have sprinklers in each apartment as that is certainly a safety precaution.  We also have numerous flashlights located about the house.  Scott gave me a very nice bright and small one for Christmas and I keep it on my night stand right in front of my clock with the large numerals, which I can see without my glasses.

Hal, when does your wife and daughter leave for England and France?

June, it sounds like you are prepared for an emergency.  Good idea to keep a bottle of water with your other supplies.

Mary Ann, that salad you have yesterday sounds delicous.  I like fruit on a salad or fruit anytime.

Joan, it sounds like you are well taken care of in the food department.  Sure glad that the beach house wasn't damaged and hope the group enjoys their weekend at the beach house.

Jane, I always tried to have a suggestion for my boss as to how to solve a problem when I talked with him.  I wasn't upset if he didn't agree with me but felt I had done my part in giving him an out if he had no better ideas or knew why such an action would not be appropriate.  Walmart accepting food stamps with online ordering would probably be very good for their bottom line. My wife wasn't happy when they took out the fabric department in Walmart either.  Sorry about your accident and it sounds like some foam could easily be put around those posts to prevent that in the future.  However, it is a good idea to fill out the forms with an accident as sometimes to consequences are not known for awhile.  Glad to see you are OK.  Your kids concern for you just shows the depth of their love for you.

Jeanne, I think the no payments would mean that you could go until right before the six months were up without making a payment then pay the full amount and not be charged interest.  I see Jane has provided a better explanation of what I was trying to say.  I didn't realize that Walmart had that feature.  I have used a similar plan for my dental work but have always made monthly payments and think maybe the CareCredit I use requires the monthly payments at a set minimum amount.

Lloyd, that was good service from Walmart.

Jenny, isn't leaving too much at the casino's just what they expect and want?  :)  Glad you enjoyed your day out.

Larry, you're probably right about filling out the accident form and I have to report to them when I go in this afternoon.  I'd been thinking that I might go ahead and fill it out at that time.

I have a Care Credit card that I only use at the Vet for the dogs and you are correct.  They do require a minimum payment every month even on deferred interests charges.  Now, how many dogs do you know who have their own credit card?  It sure is a convenience when I have a large bill for them.  I don't have to hesitate and wonder how I'm going to pay it.

One load of laundry is done, ironed or folded and put away.  The other is almost ready.  I think I'll check how close it is.  Later friends!

Good morning everyone, we had a humdinger of a thunderstorm last night. Rain was hitting the windows so hard I thought one would crack. The air was refreshing after it was over. This morning everything looks washed. Just heard on local weather there was some hail reported last night and in some places the temperature dropped into the upper 40's,this are was one of them.

HAL  so you will be living the life of a bachelor for a few weeks. Your wife have a freezer full of home made dinners for you? Then again you do know how to cook so you will survive.

MARY ANN  my FIL had a print shop with several employees. He did all the printing needed in this town and some for the state, too. He sent the yearbooks for the seniors out to be specially bound.

JOAN  the manager is worse than a sourpuss. The company must like her work though to keep her. If they were to come here and talk to the tenants they would get an earful. Two of the new tenants already had run ins with her. I stay as far away from her as I can.

JUNE  like you I have some hard candy-mostly life saver individually wrapped and a sandwich bag with Canada mints. If everyone here would stick together perhaps something would get done.  There are only 52 apartments here and a few who are always traveling someplace so are not here often.

JANE  would be great if your suggestion to your manager gets tossed around and gets put into action. Wow you are lucky you did not pass out from that bang to your head. Used to be like that in this town, any kid that did something wrong the parents would know before the kid got home. Now there are so many city people moving in that it is not the same quiet place it was.

Good morning.

JANE, without a doubt you ARE the proverbial ENERGIZER BUNNY!  Nothing can slow you down.  That being said, I do wish you would have taken a little break and made sure you really were OK.  I am glad that you are planning to fill out the paperwork today.  It is better to be safe than sorry.  I hope you continue to feel fine...

Oh yes, LARRY.  I did exactly what the casino wanted and expected me to do!  Enjoy seeing your family tonight.

AMY, happy to read hubby is getting settled in, and yes, now once again your home is complete.

JOAN, it appears you are getting settled in and beginning to enjoy your new home.  I hope Jenny proves to be a nice lady and does a good job for you.

My kitty is not totally happy with the addition of the doggie yet.  Oliver has been around cats at his groomer, but they did not HISS at him, which Smokey did do last night, so now he is uneasy about him. I hope they will be the best of friends soon.

GLORIA, I wish your manager would be kinder to the residents, as she can get her job done with out being a sour puss!  Glad you got a good rain, and happy your windows survived.

I wish EVERYFRIEND a wonderful day.

Jenny

Good Morning Everyone!

Janie could we call you hard headed?  Hopefully nothing bad comes of the "run-in" with the post.

Gloria, no homemade dinners in the freezer, will have to do with store bought.  I will more than likely eat lots of sausage and eggs or bacon and eggs.  You know how it is to try to fix for one.  And weekends I will always get a decent meal at one of the kids house, hopefully.

Cloudy and warm here this morning.  Rain keeps missing us......grrrrr

Wife has lost her cell phone somewhere here in the house and battery is down so can dial it to find the ring.  So things are been in a turmoil.  Checked AT&T websute abd cheapest shown is over 300 dollars.    double grrrrrrr.  I do sometimes get a little aggrieved and upset.  But I will survive.  Always have.

Larry did you ever get your PC up and running with the new HD? My HD is old and I should get it replaced before something happens.

Got to get ready for some PT so I will see you later.

Good morning Gloria.  We are supposed to get stormy weather later today.  Why doesn't somebody report her if she is so disagreeable--or have people tried.

Housekeeper was here and I am not impressed.  She bis supposed to be here 1 1/2 hr.  She was here 45 min. And didn't even mop.

Jenny--Good morning. I hope the cat and dog soon become friends.

Good morn9ing halkel.  I don't think you will go hungry.  Say some prayers, and I bet your wife's iPhone will turn up.

Online grocery delivery companies throughout the country accept EBT as a payment method. You can check the USDA's FNS site for mobile grocery companies listed as SNAP providers in your area. The company must be equipped to process EBT cards from their its trucks. You'll swipe your card and enter your PIN, just as you would in a store.

I was in earlier today, but I think I went back to sleep, then had to rush to get downstairs for Bible Class at 10  a.m, home for more rest then down for lunch, then on to an early appt. with my doctor, and so it goes. This body does not do well at keeping schedules. If it says rest and nap, it means it.

Now it is time to have some supper, then on to bed.

Bis, our housekeepers are supplied by the management too, but they are trained to follow s strict schedule. Sheets and towels are changed once a week and bathrooms are cleaned. The following week the same happens again ,with vacuuming, scrubbing and dusting added to  it. I have a regular girl all the time, unless she is on vacation. I trained her to NOT tuck in the sheets at the foot of my bed..I want to have my feet free to move about. Your housekeeper is still hired by management and if you are ever unhappy, tell management, and if they agree with you they will see you get what you want. We are paying big bucks for what we get, so we have every right to be satisfied.....or move. I am not demanding or bossy or expect more than I would do for myself, and I am sure that makes a difference. You and I are not the unreasonable type of personality.

Mycheal , I deal with my grocery store..Von's-Safeway..as I did with Amazon. They have my credit card on record so all I do is place an order, and it is delivered.

It's going on 6:30 our here on the left coast, so I am going to have a light supper and get ready for a quiet evening at home. I love you all. God keep you in His loving care. June
As long as we are here, let's dance.

I'm obviously not explaining this correctly.  WalMart's on line service is directly from the customer to the store by phone.  A credit card can be used on the phone.  However, it is not delivered to the customer, only to his/her car by a store employee or to a friend's car on behalf of the customer.  At this time, the order has been paid for by a credit card at the time the order was placed.  No money or credit cards change hands when the order is placed in the customer's car.  The phone in order is where there is no acceptable place to use the assistance card since (at least in PA) one of the rules is that it must be done in person.  This is where the problem lies.  If the customer was paying on pickup, one of those little swipers would work on both the credit card and the SNAP card.  Unfortunately, the order has already been paid by phone.

I'm sorry.  I guess I'm not very good at explaining this and now I'm going to quit trying.  Either you understand or you don't and I don't know how else to explain it.

I'm very tired tonight.  No run ins with posts but I'm going to go to bed early tonight and maybe get a few things done tomorrow.

Good night Everyfriend!

Jane, I guess I opened a can of worms with my comment about food stamps.  And it was just that - a comment about a situation that I understood, not a complaint against Walmart.  It certainly makes sense to do it this way, it was just something I hadn't considered ahead of time.   :)

Good Morning everyone . it is 4:56 A M here now I have had another short night. tried to  play on the computer and get tired enough to sleep with no luck. two or three treys. so I am going to the shop and put some running boards on my truck. it is a 4 wheel drive and too tall to just set down, I have to sort of lean again the seat and pull my self up in it with the steering wheel. then later when the sun gets up where i can see without lights i am going to the bulldozer and put the track tightener seal in it,so I can keep the track tight enough to not try to come off. then try to get finished with the job for the neighbor. the next day or so fix the lowboy truck so can move to bobs and finish what we have started there, then I am going to line up dosser and one track Howe and other not needed any more tools and machinery and have a sale and slow down.
