I have played and played around on my GMail and still cannot get rid of that line between the place to type new message and the Sent line.

Sans Serif  tT B I U A.   What the heck is that?

It must have something to do with Fonds.  this is the only place I have found Sans Serif mentioned. https://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/list/classification/sans%20serif

I don't think you will get rid of that line. It appears to be part of the format for the email box. It is the area where you select the font, the font size, Bold, Italic, Underline, etc.....     If you don't see a clear, defined , bar/box it might be due to your screen resolution or font size you are using. Try changing to full screen (  dropdown box at lower right corner of the mail window.

Rammel.

Only thing is it wasn't on 2 weeks ago and used the GMail for 4 years on this W7. I must have messed up someplace. I always work on a full screen.  But I found another way where I can make the space larger When writing EMails. Will put up with that  dark line being there.

Sun.  It will still do it if you see a red line under the word. Just right click on it and it will show the right spelling.  Not as good as the Spell Check still shown at the bottom but still helps

I use for my EMailing.  GMail. On Windows 7.  Have for years.  Now when it comes up. Have in full screen.  The part over on the left side where it shows.  COMPOSE, Inbox, Sent Mail.Etc. I can't get it to move only half way down. Now the part of Inbox moves fine. I thought that it showed Trash on there. Lot missing.

Who is still using GMail on W7 computer and Firefox.

My problem is on my E-M in the Inbox.  I can't read over on the right had side. Needs to be about 2 more inches.  Now on the left side it is just to large.  about 6 inches wide. This is where the Compose. Inbox, Sent, Draft shows. How can it be centered better. Don't need the left to be so wide.

I have that combo, but not on the Win-7 puter now. Maybe tomorrow.

Can you send me, or post, a screen shot of the problem window?

Dont know how to take a shot of it.  But if you have EM on W7 and using Firefox. Your EM screen should look the same.

I don't like that email look, so I use the mail one on my IPAD that looks like a large envelope. It does NOT have the big M on it.

Not sure what you mean by "my email account".  Do you mean your email address?
If so ---
At top left corner [Left of "My Messages"] click on your name.
Click on "Account Settings"
Highlight and delete your email address.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "Change Profile".
