Title: Chat Problem
Post by: jane on May 20, 2017, 12:12:28 PM
Michael...

LaBrat posted this in the Shout Box:

LaBrat: I cannot get into chat... I login and it keeps bringing me back here, can some one help?
May 16, 2017, 10:15:15 PM

I don't have a clue, so told her I'd bring it to your attention.

I got into chat without problem.  Of course no one there at this time.  But when I wanted to post that in the Shout box, it froze (4 times!) and I could not post.

The last 3 days I had a problem posting graphics in PSP discussion: they came as a broken icon and I had to retry many times until it worked.  Today,
miracle, worked without a itch.

Junee, do you exit by clicking on the "x" or by clicking "logout"?

Junee, use the "x" in the upper corner, not the word "logout".   ;)

Today I got this message and twelve others with dates from 2/3/4 days ago. I wondered if it was a S@F bug and if others suffer from the same.  At times the messages come in triplicate, at different hours.  My delete file is overflowing!
Oooops eight others just landed in my inbox.
They are all from the notifications here. None from other source. This started about 15 days ago.

Any help will be appreciated.

Bubble, have you tried clicking on the "Notify" (or Unnotify") button for the "Show me..."  Or have you possibly clcked "Notify" for the total Photos board?

I don't get the emails, but I have Photos: Old and New listed under my listing here as if I wanted to be notified there of posts.  I don't.

I'll go and see if somehow Photos is messed in with places where I have posted.

I have that happening for every single discussion I asked to be notified for.  Up to now it was doing it nicely when someone posted, for the last post since my visit.  Now it does that but also for  the last 2/3/4 days, and repeating the list each day!

I do not ask for total board notification.

I un-notified all the discussions yesterday, but today I still get mail notices of 3 or 4 days ago.
I am at a loss how to stop that.  It is insane.

Bubble, I don't know what can be causing that.  Maybe Oldiesman/Michael will have an answer when he checks in.

Maybe it will taper off in two three days. Hopefully.

I am getting that same message each time I enter the forum and each time I go to another page on the site. How many simply don't keep trying?

I started a topic Unsafe Site because that’s the warnings I get.  I can’t get in with Safari at all.  Only got here with Firefox by going around the warning.

Many aren’t getting in.

If one click on the 'advance' at the end of the message, it is possible to access.

Even if you click on advance, you have to do so repeatedly, each time you post, go from forum to forum or simply pause too long.

It is a technical problem and I am sure our dedicated webmaster will deal with it as soon as he became aware of it.

from Oldieman:

One of the services is still seeing the old SSL certificates for some reason. I've filed a support ticket with the appropriate people as the solution that fixed this issue last time isn't working this time. Hopefully it will get resolved soon.

I have checked and double checked all locations of the entire site for a home, for several new blogs that I would like to post. There is no thread that they would fit into. I did message Rammel with my concern, but he told me that admin had to approve any new threads before they could be published, but how would I go about that. These blogs I have in mind I published similar on another site and the blogs were well  accepted and very successful. If I cannot post new threads, then it would be a potential loss to S&F and a real disappointment to me. Is there a solution?
