Good Friday Afternoon,  everyone...
I think that staying out of areas where people
gather during the flu season is a good idea...

Churches are even more dangerous,  IMHO,
because people want to be able to go into a church
to be "nearer thy God to thee",  so they choose
to ignore the fact that they can get seriously ill,
or pass their seriously illness on to others.

I steer clear of areas where people gather,  and when
I happen to be
at the grocer store,  I keep moving
when at all possible.

I am sorry that Pat is so ill Larry..  I know that
she is looking for hope,  when apparently
there is not much of that at her disposal.

I hope that they come upon something that will
really help her find relief.

I am going into the hospital on Monday
(YIKES  sick people!)
to get prepped for a colonoscopy ....
Because I have AFIB and take coumadin
to help prevents blood clots and further
damage from strokes, they want me there
to keep an eye on,  during colonoscopy
process...

I am dreading it,  but it is something that I
need to have done.

I will let you know how I make out.
If able   (as you can see,  I am a little
nervous)

Have a good weekend,  everyone!

Sandy

Ken.....

Thank you so very much for letting us know
that Jeanne Lee is in the nursing home being
taken good care of with her family by her side.

She is going to be missed by all of us "Old Friends"
who have known her for many, many years
and appreciate  all the help that she has
given  us  when our computers fail us and
our technical expertise goes on vacation.

We were so glad to have Jeanne Lee
to depend on to set us straight and
get  us  back in touch with our
"window to the internet world"...

I miss her and wish her a
"fond farewell and following seas"
on her next incarnation.

   :smitten:  Bye Jeanne Lee !  :smitten:

Right now it is: 2° Fahrenheit
Cloudy/Wind eels Like -19°   Fahrenheit ..
That is  below 0° ...   (Brrrrrrrrrrr)

This is very unusual ..... and we have had many cold
days below zero with strong wind chill....

I see that better weather is headed in our direction
in a few days.      I can't wait.

I also just looked in on Grand Haven and it also gives me the creeps seeing all of those people with animals out there on that shoreline ice.

I would not trust it either!    But I tend to be leery of
ice in the Winter.   As a child,  I went out on thin ice and was called off from it before I could have fallen in ...
So i am always aware ,  even to this day, of the dangers of ice
in the Winter.

Good Morning Everyone from the Stormy Rocky coast of Maine.

The Blizzard has started and we here on
the coast are suppose to get the brunt
of the storm.      I hope that we don't
lose our power.   Usually here in the
heart of the city,  we don't lose it.

Maybe we will get lucky and the storm
will go out East of us and we don't get
a direct hit.

Have a good day, Everyone...
Stay Safe!

Good frosty Morning to Every One..
High temp today is suppose to be 8 degrees Fahrenheit,
but the wind chill is -7 degrees F.....

Yes, we are in for a weeks worth (at least) of uncommon
freezing weather..  And so it is.

The heater is awesome ... I am very pleased with it.
Much better then the older one that I have under my desk.

I have the old one under my desk,  the new one in the middle
of the living area,  and I turn on my oven for about an
hour.      I know that it seems like a lot,  but until the temps
get naturally up into the twenty some thing,  I will
have to work to keep this apartment comfortably warm.

Finally 2018 is here.
I plan on keeping a positive attitude,  until something
outrageous happens.  (news wise)    Then I will
hibernate until things improve again.

I am still able to control what news I am
subjected to,  and I will take advantage of
this control  while I can.

For self preservation,  I must maintain a positive
outlook,  in spite of the nature of world events
(political) around me.

Bubble  "My friend’s husband is always telling her that housekeeping would be a snap if only she would organize her time better."

Sounds like he needs a good slap up side his
empty head !!!

I would "organize him"  right out the back door!!

Good Morning Everyone from the
Icy cold, but Sunny rocky coast of Maine!

I have found an absolutely fabulous Ceramic Heater
from LASKO

https://www.amazon.com/Lasko-758000-Cyclonic-Ceramic-Heater/dp/B000QC77A8/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1514730482&sr=8-9&keywords=lasko+ceramic+heater

To subsidize the heat in my corner apartment,  which
is needed when the temps get down into the lover teens and
falls below zero...  Add wind chill to that and I need
this additional heater.     The management here gave me
this heater to use.    But I am going to purchase one
on my own for future use.

It really works fabulously and is very quiet.   I highly
recommend it if a heating subsidy is required where
you live.

Thank Goodness this is the last day of 2017....
I am looking forward to  the new year.   Imagine...
it is almost 2018 ...

Good Morning Everyone One from the
Cold and snowy, and soon
to be icy, rocky coast of Maine.

I am sure glad that we I got out yesterday
with Kelly, before this incumbent weather
began gracing our streets.   It is going to be cold
snowy icy the next few days and then snowy on
Christmas here.

I have all I need until after then.
The holidays are upon us and the
celebrating has begun.

Shirley,  Shirley,  Shirley....  Everytime you
smash your head against a hard surface,  it can
damage your brain.    Concussions are very
very dangerous.  And you should have it checked
out whether you want to or not.  Our poor brains
have no protection inside our skull.   They float in
fluid and when some hard hits them,  they
flip flop around and get hurt.

But of course,  Shirley,  you know this.
And I wish that you would have it checked out
before it is too late.

HUGS from me to the !!!

Happy Hanukkah  and Merry Christmas to all!

Good Afternoon Everyone,
from the cold, but sunny and clear rocky
coast of Maine.

The streets cleared up last night so I went out
and caught the bus to the grocery store.  the streets
and walkways were  clear.  So it was easy going.

The stores were very busy this morning.. Not
too many shopping days until Christmas.

I do not give gifts at Christmas or Birthdays.
There is just too many kids,  grand kids and great grand
kid (FI),  so gift giving is out for us.

So my shopping today was just for grocerys.

Have a good day,  everyone!

Sandy if we get things in place as we want and get to traveling like we plan and we end up on your doer step. do you have a good reasonable place to load up on those snow crab legs? the best meal of them I ever had was in Las Vagus Nevada years ago

Lloyd.

LLoyd,
The Rocky coast of all New England is noted for
 Homarus americanus: "The American Lobster"

(or what I call  "Maine Lobster")
Click below to learn more about it.
http://www.parl.ns.ca/lobster/overview.htm

Which can be found fresh off the lobster boats,
any where from Cape Cod, Massachusetts  down
East to New Brunswick, Canada.

The price depends on the location, the season and the
availability.     While traveling along the
coast you never know when Lobsters can be found
at a reasonable cost.    "The locals"  where they are
advertised can give you an idea of where to locate the
bargains...

Best wishes in selling your home and choosing to do some
traveling in... I am a "coast person" and find much
joy in traveling along the coasts of the USA  and Canada...

I know that you will love it.

Yes, Larry, unfortunately the snow on the ground makes it difficult for me to get out and get to the grocery store if I decide to take the bus...
I do best on dry ground. It is easier to walk and pull a small cart along.

If I stop complaining I can get the job done. (slowly)
The good news is that tomorrow and thurs are going to sunny days (and drier),  so I will get my
weekly shopping done then.    (no complaints there!)

Sandy, it is nice to see you posting here. I saw the photos of Fe on Facebook; she has grown from a baby to a sweet young girl.

Yes,  Fe is getting older but to me she looks older then
she really is.    She won't be 2 until the end of April.
But she is at that age where she is learning things in leaps and bounds...   I only see her about once every 2-3 weeks ... just enough time for her to change again!

Little kids are great fun!!
