Good Morning Everyone...

Speaking of "Grand Mothers"...
My fathers Mother died in child birth when
he was about 10.    His Father remarried
and she did not want to be called Grammy ....
She prefered being called "Marge"...

I never really knew her... not surprised at
that ..    (giggle)

My Mothers Mother was my "Grand Mother"
and died when I was about 12.     She never
left the house and back yard, in all the
years that I knew her.

"Agoraphobia"  runs in my family.
(thanks Grammy)

My Mother had it,  I had it,
and ever a couple of my kids have it.      So we
are all pretty much stay at home types....

Of course,  as I aged,  I got over it.
As is apparent in my solitary trip across the USA a
few years back.

But today I still prefer being home alone.  It is where I
am most comfortable.

Everyone have a nice Saturday

I love you too,  June!!!   :smitten:

There are many reasons to use a Rollator...
"unsteady being right up there at the top,  IMHO"...

I am getting one because of my limited sight in one eye only.
Using a Rollator will protect me when walking outside
here on sidewalks of Portland Maine.  It will help me
keep my balance when I walk into a falty area on the side
walks.

It will afford me the guidence that I require now.   Plus
I can walk and stop and sit for a bit which hopefully will
encourage me to get out a  walk more.

Mary Ann,  I encourage you to get one while you
are still up and mobile...

A  new lease on life feeling more confident in
your ability to get around.

Peace....
Sandy

Good Morning Everyone from the cool,
but muggy (rain=high humidity) rocky
coast of Maine.

Welcome back JOY!!

I ordered my tall drive Rollator:

https://smile.amazon.com/Drive-Medical-RTL10266-T-Walker-Rollator/dp/B00QFYS3TK/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1537271970&sr=8-1&keywords=drive+rollator+tall

from Amazon and somehow it got shipped
from Georgia to California...    I spoke with
the sellers and they are sending one to me.
At least that is what they say that they
are doing.    We shall see.
Amazon had the best price and the shipping
was free...  I will know more when it finally
arrives at my door.

Otherwise all is well... cept the muggy weather,
but I shall not complain too loudly,  as
the fall temperature are beginning to
arrive and they feel soooo good.

Wishing everyone a good day.

Sandy - Thanks for more information on "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel".  I was planning to take a look, in hopes of seeing Callie's granddaughter . . . but now I have even more reasons to be interested.  My favorite music is from the 40's and 50's, and I love the clothes, shoes, hats, etc.  I remember it all, and never miss an opportunity to revisit my former life! :)

I think that you will really enjoy this ...  I am loving it and it was before my time (born in 1943)  I am looking forward to the next season, should there be one.

I am watching the series
"The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" now  on
Amazon Prime.

I absolutely adore it.  I find it interesting,  light hearted,
with the best music.....  so many great songs from
the 40's and 50's...   As well as the styles.   Especially the
hats  and clothes..

I recommend it, highly!

I love Kendricks color !
I used to have a gold colored cat and I named
him "Sandy"....   so people outside would
not know I had a cat when I yelled
"Here  Sandy,  Kitty, Kitty, Kitty...... "   Or when
my kids would call him.

Of course,  I was just fooling myself...
I sure loved that cat!!!

Kendrick is beautiful !

Good Afternoon Everyone from the
cooler and more "Fall like"  rocky coast
of Maine....

Hurricane  Florence is looking to be a very
bad one for the Southern States ..   South Carolina
especially ..   I believe even after landfall,  it is going
to slow down and dump a whole lot of rain...

Not a good sign..
Stay safe,  Everyone!

Bev,

I just checked with Madison and she wrote back:

"I don’t know her well but we did go to camp together!
I remember her!!
Tell her congrats on her wedding ❤️❤️"
Maddie

I know that Madison loved that camp and went a
couple of years...  Funny how occasionally our
families meet up with one another...

Thanks for letting me know.

I think that is so unfair..
Telling Candy that  there is some thing
wrong with her Liver,  and to come back in
Three months for more testing!

There are lots of good hospitals in this Country on
both the West and East Coasts..  Here is
hoping that she can get to one of them.

Sandy - Funny you should mention my hair. It was a hot, humid and windy day and my hair just "did its own thing".  :) By the way, I think Brynn and your granddaughter Madison knew each other at one time.

Do you really think that that Brynn and Madison
knew each other?     They look a lot alike.  And if they both hung
around Portland / Westbrook, perhaps you are right!!

Or maybe Brynn knows my daughter Erin "Dilly" Davidson who
is well known around  the Portland Area.

I spoke up and told the nurses
that I was late for my "procedures"  and they said,
"Oh were you suppose to have them this morning? .

Then they went and made a couple of calls and
finally I was rushed down to the procedure room and
met with the Doctor..

Had I not spoken up....
I might still be there!!!
:uglystupid2:

Just goes to show how important it is to
be paying attention when we are dealing with
medical issues.

All is well now. And I am sleeping
really good since I got the good results.

I bet that you and Tom had a good laugh

Why don't you get a "Life Alert"  account.

I have had one for 5 years,  and wouldn't
be without it...

It would give you all "piece of mind" ...

Sandy, was the waiting room not where you were suppose to wait until your turn? That was a good news day for you.  Glad you no longer need to worry about having the tests.

Because  of my AFIB  and  have
had strokes and  am on blood thinners, and
have only a little vision in my right eye ,
I went into the hospital the
night before  my date with the Dr.  and did the prep
work there for the procedures.   (With the help
of the nurses etc)

Unfortunately,   I got lost in the scuffle.... because
most people do not go into the hospital before
having  a Colonoscopy and Upper Endoscopy

Good Morning from the hot and humid

until the season breaks.    Or at least that is
what they are predicting...

We shall see!

I am grateful for my good news .

Joan I do hope that Candy  also
gets good positive news and is feeling better
very, very soon.

These are trying times for everyone
subjected to the dreaded  "TESTS" ...
Best wishes to all.

Good Tuesday Afternoon...

I just got back from the hospital after having
a scheduled Colonoscopy and Upper Endoscopy....

Very good news.  The Doc removed 4 small Polyps
and the Upper Endoscopy showed a small Hiatal Hernia..

I am so fortunate .... Dr says that does not want to see me
again!!!!

Sure glad that is over and done with.
Oh by the way.   I was an hour late
for surgery....  (They thought that I had
forgot to come -   but I was upstairs in the
hospital waiting for them..)

A very good news day for me.

I watched the first season of Ozark,
and have been waiting patiently for the second season...

Yes,  there are a lot of unconventional
things happening here....

I absolutlely love this series,  and have not
been disappointed watching the second season.

The characters are flawed.  But I find much of
humanity is also.

Here we get right inside a number of families...
Which is unusual,  because I believe that
in real life, we don't usually get that close
and up front and personal, to most other
people that we encounter....

I may think that I know what is going on
inside my neighbors home...   but do I really?

Most likely,  NOT.

I am looking foward to season three.

Sandy, living in South Carolina, but on the Western side of the State, is still the closest we have ever lived to the beaches.  I know a number of people who either have homes near the beach or go their for vacations.  It really isn't in the cards for Pat and I to make the trip to the beach. Have you watched the TV series on Netflix called "Royal Pains"?  It is set in the Hamptons and is about a brillant doctor and his brother and a young woman whose parents are from India that is also brilliant and the rich people they encounter there.  We really liked the series.

Larry  "Royal Pains" was always a
favorite of mine,  too!   Good TV!

I actually haven't been to the beach for years...
I just love living near water... be it the Atlantic,
the Gulf of Mexico or Washington's Puget Sound.

I hope that you have a good day,  today..
Too much heat for me is never a good thing.

My nephew married a gal from the Hamptons
and I have been there a couple of times.    Her family owns
three Marinas  there...   (yikes  $$$$$)   ....
Nice people .  Very down to Earth.

I love that area and the boat ride back to
New London?    Or some where near there.

I am definitely New England born and bred ....
And Portland Maine is where I will live until I don't!!!!
