Good afternoon, what can I say it is cool again and rain

Larry, No I have not read the book Barbara Bush wrote, but I am sure it would be very interesting. Gorbachev, remembered her as being warm and astute. She had a warm relationship with his wife when they visited Texas. I read in today's paper.

I too am so sorry, Patricia is not going to post here. I also enjoyed reading about Alaska, I learn so much. Of course we had our kitties to talk about

MaryAnn, nice to read about your trips to the moutains.  I drove from Denver to Calf. in my sons small   sports car over the Rockies, that was quite and adventure. He had the top down part of the ways

Bubble, I always enjoy your graphics and how well you reinterpret a tut, especially the backgrounds and especially for now, "Difference." However, your last one, "Don't think two much," was just what I needed to hear and remember after yesterday and its day visiting some alphabet agencies.

Marilyn, I would loved to have taken a trip like you took in the RV, however, my dad and I took a few trips west as far as the mountains.  I've probably told this before but it was always funny to my dad and me.  Dad lived a few years in West Virginia (where I was born) and considered he was adept at driving in the mountains (no comparison as to height).  We got to the edge of the Rockies and Dad took over driving.  Eventually things leveled out and it was OK for Mary Ann to drive.  We were near Sheridan Wyoming and Ten Sleep Canyon.  We had a 1952 Chevy Coupe (model unknown) with stick shift.  We got to the Canyon and the road went down and around and down and around (horseshoe turns).  You could look out the passenger window and see where you were going for some time.  It was fascinating driving - and I was doing the driving.  When we got down to a motel, Dad realized he was more scared thinking about where he had been than he had while driving down the road.  He never worried about my driving in the mountains again.  My dad was a teacher and he got a job most summers but always left a few weeks for a trip.  We did go in other directions, but most of our trips went out west.  Until December 2014, I had not been as far as California, but only to the mountains.

We don't have mountains in Michigan but we do have many scenic places, lots of small lakes as well as the Great Lakes, lots of trees, hills.  My folks chose wisely when they decided to move to Michigan.

Mary Ann

I'm off to a slow start this morning . . . didn't wake up until 8:00, which is late for me.  Maybe because I had a restless night, and didn't get to sleep until sometime between 1:00 and 2:00?  I think I was wide awake from watching the San Jose Sharks, beat the Anaheim Ducks, earlier in the evening.  I'm not a fan of pro basketball or football, but I have come to really enjoy NHL hockey . . . probably because the Sharks are the first professional sports team located in San Jose.  Also, three or four of the married players live right here in my little town, and we sometimes see them at the local restaurants, walking dogs, etc.

Mary Ann & Mars Gal - I got the same low level Vitamin D lab results a couple of years ago. My doctor actually called me at home, and advised me to start taking 2000 mg of Vit D, every day.  I was very good about it for a long time, but the last time I ran out of caps, I didn't replace them. I know my bones are extremely porous, and I will get a new jar of caps today!  Thank you for reminding me!  I also take 500 mg of C, and one B-50, every day.

Larry - Our trip in the RV, was a memorable one.  It belonged to our oldest daughter and husband, (she is since divorced), and was a lot of fun.  We pulled our Volkswagen bug behind us, so we could get around and sight see, in all the states from here to there.  We loved Chicago, and always planned to return and see more, but we never did.  Then drove up to Wisconsin, and over to Minneapolis, where we parked in the driveway of AJ's cousin for a couple of days.  After Duluth and Superior, we drove home through South Dakota, then Wyoming and on back to California.  We found something to like and enjoy in every state, in both directions.
