Oldiesmann: Relevant links can be found in topics in the Homemaking, Food & Garden board. I'll see about moving them over to articles here when I get a chance.

Oldiesmann: Found them. They're on the CP site: https://www.christianphotographers.com/recipes/recipeindex.html

Oldiesmann: I'm not finding anything related to recipes on the site. I'll do some digging through the Internet Archive and see if I can dig them up. It's possible that got lost in the big server crash back in 2016

Domestic Goddess: Is this correct, if one would like to post/share a recipe, we do so here?  If so, was searching to see if there were separate recipe categories?

WOW! You caught that a the precise right time, such a neat detailed photo.
I've never seen a goldfinch. They are beautiful.
It seems to be migration time here.  You would have been delighted to see the variety of birds passing through. I wish I had your talent, to be able to share that.

That goldfinch is much more colorful than what I see in my area.  Our goldfinch in the summer are the color of the yellow on Chocky's bird and ours have black wings, also very colorful.  There is no way I'd be able to catch a bird in flight like that.  Chocky is an expert!

The goldfinch we have here in central Alabama are yellow with black wings.  My Alabama bird book shows both male and female.  The male is more brightly colored, but the female has the same colors, although subdued.  They are identified as year round in the northern part of the state and winter in the middle and southern most counties.

I don't put bird seed out now because neighboring cats come into my yard and lurk under the feeders.  So I only get occasional glimpses when they are in our neighborhood.  My local bird book says they prefer open fields, scrubby areas, and woodlands.  I have lots of trees, but think they avoid this neighborhood because of the cats.

Yes, our American goldfinches aren't as colorful as the European ones.  But they're very joyous.  They swoop around and look like they are having a great time, and you can't help but chuckle.  they can brighten your whole day.

Thank youso much for all the kind comments and info   :)
