Good Sunday morning, Everyfriend.  There's Cinnabons to go with your coffee or tea.  Have a blessed Sunday.

Thanks to Phyllis for her lovely “May” graphic creation which we are using this week.

Goals

A minister wrote in his weekly column in the church newsletter that he was setting goals for the new year. One of his goals was to clean up his desk. Another of his goals was to find last year's goals.

Food For Thought

God Does
(Author Unknown)

When you feel unlovable, unworthy, and unclean,
when you think that no one can heal you,
Remember, Friend, God Can.

When you think that you are unforgivable
for your guilt and your shame,
Remember, Friend, God Can.

When you think that all is hidden,
and no one can see within,
Remember, Friend, God Can.

And when you have reached the bottom,
And you think that no one can hear,
Remember, my dear friend, God Can.

And when you think that no one can love,
the real person deep inside of you,
Remember, my dear friend, God Does!

Lazy day today...finished up the quilt top yesterday, so I can start on another one.

Gloria,we still have a fire on in the morning just to take the chill out of the house. Very unusual to be burning wood now
.
Kelly and Lloyd  good morning.

Joan ,thank you for the cinnabons.

Hi everyone.  It is another beautiful day but cooler morning and only expected to get to 78 degrees by mid-afternoon.  I am fixing Pat's breakfast this morning to help her get around (she is not a fast starter in the morning) so we can get to Sunday School on time.  We will then attend church and eat out somewhere and then spend a quiet afternoon and evening.  I watched some of the golf yesterday afternoon as they were having a terrible time with the course as it was playing extremely difficult.  I will try to catch the finish of the Tourney this afternoon.

Joan, I am scheduled top take my car in on Tuesday morning to get the A/C fixed.  It is too hot here not to have a working air conditioner.

Callie, my wife was excited yesterday when she saw a humming bird at the feeder.

Jackie, I would think the Queen would become very tired of all the ceremonies she has to attend and to be on guard every minute she is away from her home.  I have wondered if she ever wears the same outfit and hat more than once.

Molly, I don't envy Mohamed in facing a long flight and having to deal with the airport security.  I am sure traffic is bad around every big city and just glad I no longer have to deal with it on a daily basis.

Gloria, I have lived where we have high humidity for most of my life.  Anymore I am out in it such a short time that it really doesn't bother me but would if I had to be outside very long.

Patricia, it sounds like Farrah is already being spoiled if she is turning up her nose at dry food.

June, when we moved to this house we didn't hang nearly as many pictures as we had in our last house and must say they are not missed.

CallieOK

Good Morning.    56 degrees on my patio.  What month is this??   :idiot2:

Love the verse on the graphic.  Thanks, Phyllis.

Well once again beautiful day is ruined....R was taking me to a church garden cream tea event, we had almost reached there when his anger took hold again in the car and he shouted abusively at me, I was absolutely fuming, this is the second time of being abusively shouted at in the car when we were going " somewhere nice " Another day ruined, I am absolutely livid and its not doing my MS any good either, I am now shaking....I am here ( back home after I told him I am not going anywhere with you ever again..) in a beautiful location but with the wrong person....Sorry just need to get this of my chest....I have a home appointment this Thursday with an MS Specialist Nurse, I am not going to hold anything back, I need all the help I can get....
Like all abusers he knows he will never get caught out...
................................
Joan, thank you for today's " thought of the day...."

Jackie,  sending ((((((((((( hugs))))))))))) to you.

Verbal abuse is just as hurtful as physical abuse.  I am sorry that your special day was ruined and you didn't get to go to the tea.  You do not deserve that sort of abuse.  And, yes,  that certainly doesn't help with your MS problems.

Good morning, Joan.  Thanks for the delicious cinnabons this morning.  Just hit the spot.

Another partly cloudy and chilly day.  And, to think this is the middle of May and still having the heat on.  Crazy weather.

Hope every friend will have a nice Sunday.

All is well here on this beautiful May
Day ...   I love it when I can open
all my windows and let the sun shine in.

Abuse is wrong,  be it physical,  mental,
or emotional.

Wedding was beautiful!!!  My granddaughter made a beautiful bride and the groom was handsome. They never stopped smiling...at the guests and at each other!  More later. I don't type well on the iPad.

A good Sunday HELLO to EVERYFRIEND.

Beautiful morning, but it continues to be cool.  Rain is in the forecast for the next few days.  I can never complain about rain, but I was hoping for a warmer day.  Seems we have our worse weather on weekends.

One year ago today we disembarked from our wonderful cruise.  I can not believe it has been a year, and yet SO MUCH has happened in our lives since that cruise.

Thank you, JOAN, for our wonderful SS this fine day.  Cinnabons are a favorite of mine, and especially yours with absolutely no calories and therefore no guilt.

JACKIE, I am sad to read your issue of the day.  As stated, abuse in any shape or form is not acceptable.  I am sad that you did not get to attend your tea.  You deserve to have any enjoyment you can get have.  Shame on R! HUGS to you.

So good to see your quick post, JANIE. We all know you are having a wonderful time and appreciate you taking this precious time to say hello to us.

SANDY, there is nothing as enjoyable as the sun shinning in!

LARRY, we will fly into Midway.  I wish it were O'Hare as it is much closer to our son's home.  SouthWest only flys to Midway.

I must get things packed today....do not like to do it last minute.

Enjoy your day.

Joy, Sandy, thank you so much for your words of support...I am just back from a short walk downhill with Benji, and stopped to have a chat with one " NICE " couple doing weeding together, their dogs were there too, just a further walk the wife of MS hubby came out, especially to have a nice long chat, she is also a " NICE " lady... there are so many " nice and respectable people on this site, it has lifted my spirits and I am feeling a lot more calmer but of course I am now back indoors...back to our usual silence....Oh and as I was walking out, he spoke and I told him I dont want to hear anything, but he did say, " I don't mean to be abusive ..." isn't that what they all say? I have also been sworn at in the past, called an f***g b***h or an c***w.....respectable man, he is most definitely NOT....of course he hides it well....

Jenny, again thank you for your words.....Jenny was it really 1 year ago, boy how time fly's.....

Jackie.  I don't believe I could live with your man. Not doing your health good at all. He need to get anger management or moving papers. Seem he has been that way for a long time.
Now is when you need to be looking out for yourself. He should never get by calling you those names.

Gloria

I scheduled a disk check and it started when I turned on the PC this morning. It took more than 3 hours to run. Never saw it take that long before.  It all came out clean which I knew it would. The AC did not get installed but today I am ready for heat.  The cold front that was slow coming in dropped the temperature into the 40's and it is very windy. I now have windows closed and no fan running.  I read the posts but too many to comment on except for JUNE hanging a picture.  I would not think of stepping on even a foot stool anymore.

PHYLLIS  cute graphic for this week.

JOAN  hope there is a Cinnabon  waiting for me.  Just copied God Does. Something for everyone to remember. Good quote. Thank you for today's goodies.

LLOYD  hope you got more sleep.

KELLY  Oie Vie by now it is well into the afternoon for you.

AMY  the heat here is turned off but I sure would like to warm it up some.  I am bundled up like the middle of winter. Just a couple of days ago I was miserable with the heat and humidity.

HAL  saw on the nens last night about all the rain in Dallas again. The ground there must be water logged by now.

LARRY  I have always disliked summer because of the humidity. That is why I prefer autumn and winter.

CALLIE  it is cold here today, sure not like mid May at all. Glad I did not put away all my sweatshirts because I am wearing one today. From 77° yesterday it is 45° now.

JACKIE  verbal abuse is horrible. My ex was like that.

JANE  good seeing you this morning. Hope we get to see some photos after you get home.

:) Good morning! I almost hesitate to say we have had another beautiful day in the eighties yesterday and no rain or cooling expected until Sunday, the 22nd.

Another day to finish small, neglected jobs around the house and glad my arthritis seems to be resting as well.

halkel

Well I'm BAAAAAAACK.  Nice service this morning.  Wife didn't go, she didn't want to go as early as "thought" I needed to go.  I had been notified that we were to have communion, I am on the  Communion Team, but when I got there, was told the minister called last night and cancelled it???????  No reason given.

It started raining while we were having service, like yesterday, and listening to a garden show on the way home and the garden guy said suppose to rain all week.

Gloria, things are getting pretty water logged, which means flooding.  But that is Texas: flooding or drought.  Been that way all my life, although some will say it is climate change....it isn't.

Hope everyone has a great day.

" Harsh winds do shake the darling buds of May."  That sure seems to be the case right now with 3 degree (c) temperature.

JoanFL

Sorry I've been away from my computer most of the day.  Linda and Ed came early for breakfast.  They have been in and out bringing boxes, shipping containers etc. and putting them in my garage.  The closing on their house is Thurs. so everything has to be out.  They had rented storage space with stuff that will stay here once they find a place.  Then  they loaded a POD with stuff that will go to the house they bought in Fairhope, AL.  Don't know how they keep up with what goes where.

Dot and I did our usual Sunday morning - to church, then OTB.  Would you believe it snowed while we were in church?  Not long, but some was visible when we looked out the window.  Our temp now is at 55 degrees and it is 1:45 pm.

My Sunday morning started off bad....If you remember a neighbour told us where he takes his dog to be groomed, well I booked her earliest appointment, meaning that Toby would be a mess by the time he is due to go as he was almost ready then...this app, would make him 3 to 4 weeks overdue, 3 months would be his last groom, so I have really been counting the day.....anyway Tomorrow 9am was going to be the day...not any more....Groomer phoned this morning 10am to tell us app is to be cancelled due to groomer falling off a horse and damaging her back...I am now left leaving messages over the phone with other groomer's that I am finding local on the internet telling them this is urgent....Poor Toby is looking very neglected, I have never ever seen him looking this bad, I feel ashamed taking him out, not his fault....A Cocker Spaniel needs regular grooming, more so in the hot weather...normally I would go 6-7 or 8 weeks....Do you ever feel you just want to get the day over?
