A blond woman was speeding down the road and was pulled over by a female police officer who was also a blonde.

The Blonde cop asked to see the blonde driver's licnce.  She dug through her purse and was getting progressively more agitated.

"What does it look like?" she finally asked. The policewoman replied:
'It's square and it has you picture on it.'

The driver finally found a square mirror in her purse, looked at it and handed it to the policewoman. 'Here it is,' she said.

The Blonde officer looked at the mirror, then handed it back saying, "OK, you can go. I didn't realize you were a cop..."

Good morning.

Making this a quickie as we will soon be off to do grocery shopping for my friend and we just need milk.
Not sure what jobs will get tackled today....guess I will just wait and see what does get done.

Bubble thank you for the delicious new start, and pearls of wisdom.

Enjoy your day and stay safe.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  BUBBLE thanks for cleaning up the Soda Shoppe and putting up new decorations.  Love it!

This will be a short one because I have to go get a shower and get dressed.  Cooper spent the night and I never sleep well when he's here.  He's not bad...jut there and it's different.

I wish you all a good day...better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow!

Good Morning,

This is a repeat of my post in "Bait and Tackle" (same story - second verse?  :D )but it had been so long since my last post that I thought y'all might have forgotten me!

It's been a very busy week!

On Monday, I learned how to join in an organization's meetings and connected Book Club via Zoom without having to install the program.

On Tuesday,  I had my hair done as usual and then came home to fix lunch for #1 son before he took me to a "maintenance" doctor appointment.  All good there   He put Christmas decorations in the garage cabinets, put Christmas dishes in the cupboard over the sink and changed a light bulb while he was here.

On Wednesday, I took care of some business phone calls before son took me to another "maintenance" doctor appointment.  This one was to check the pressure in my eyes which had been creeping toward glaucoma.  I'd been on two kinds of prescription eye drops and- Hooray! - they lowered the pressure to a very acceptable level.  Don't have to go back for 6 months.

Yesterday I did some errands and a few Domestic Duties.

Today I'm doing laundry, making sliders, microwaving a package of baby carrots to "crisp tender" and chilling so I can have them instead of potato chips with my lunch sandwiches.  Grocery order to be delivered this afternoon.

Family who had tested Positive had very few symptoms (son said biggest issues were Boredom and "Who's Going To Cook?") and were released from quarentine (never can remember how to spell this!).  Miss Ellen flew back to NYC last Monday (no issues - flight even landed early), Miss Emily is now a salaried employee at the Chiropractic Clinic where she did her Fall internship and Sir Carson has returned to work and classes at OSU.

My prayers and good wishes for healing are with each of you who is experiencing health issues and other traumas.

Onward and Upward.

It turns out the 16th-Century policy on the plague may have been on the right side of science. And people rebelled just as they're doing now, even as fifty million died in one European outbreak.

Well, Bubble, that was a surprise!  I don't even have that image saved anymore, I don't believe.  Thanks for bringing back an old memory.  And, thanks, for giving us a new, clean space.

We've had nice sunshine the last couple of days but rain will return this afternoon so it looks like the weather of 2020 is going to be the weather of 2021.

Nothing much new around here.  Trying to get my Covid shot but the vaccinations are going very slowly in this county so just trying to be patient.  Eventually it will get done.

Take care, All.

I think I should have skipped breakfast this morning.  Last week I was having a craving for Malt-O-Meal hot cereal.  So, having bought a large box, I decided this morning would be a good time to fix some.

For 1 Serving, 3 tablespoons of the cereal to 1 cup of boiling water, stirring continually (it forms lumps really easily)!  Measuring out the 3 Tbs of cereal, I spilled about half of it in the sink; just a mess, no problem.  Remeasured...water was boiling at this point.  Started stirring the cereal into the boiling water, but before I could reduce the heat under the pan, it roiled and boiled and spilled over the stove burner, as I'm trying to lift the saucepan off the heat! Got that done without any physical injury, and continuing stirring, but my nice clean stovetop and burner (which I detailed in a post on New Year's about spilling the black-eyed pea juice on the stove & burner and instigated a whole stovetop cleaning including burner pans, etc.) is now ready for another cleaning.

Should have just had coffee and juice! :-[

Tome, so glad you reminded me about that nasty habit of cream of wheat AND Malt O Meal boiling over! I have a box (don't remember which) my daughter had delivered to me when I had Covid & she had food sent to me. NOW I remember why I've avoided opening it now & not cooked both for so long. Glad oatmeal isn't as bad about making a mess. I eat a lot of eggs & lately have been microwaving a potato & then after taking  peeling off, chop into little cubes & browning in the skillet with plenty of butter ...to have hash browns with my egg. Yum! Breakfast is my fav meal.

Thoughts with all of you but my microwave is beeping that my spaghetti is hot & I don't have the salad fixed. After food YOU come first!  Old saying from the 1950s.......

Another busy day and no one visiting all afternoon or evening!  I took my living room curtains down and washed them and while they were in the washer and dryer, I washed the windows.  That wore me out.  I got two of the curtains and two of the valances ironed and back up and I know what my chore for tomorrow will be!  The rest of the curtains and valances are waiting.

I might be getting an air fryer tomorrow.  A store a little way away has one one sale plus I have a 15% off coupon good for one shopping trip to the store.  If Cathy goes there, she's going to get me one.

SHIRLEY and TOMEREADER, couldn't you heat the water for your cereal on the stove and when it boils, remove it from the stove to sit on a hot pad on the counter, add the cereal and stir?  That way you wouldn't be risking a messy stove.  I've never made what you're talking about so I don't really know but it's a thought.

CALLIE, thanks for the update.  You've been a busy lady!

I'm off to the haystack now.  I hear the zzzzzs calling my name.  I wish you all a peaceful night's sleep and a happy, healthy, germ-free tomorrow.

I was thinking of reviving some of Joan's images, but they are all hugely imprinted with Photo Bucket, so useless :( I had permission long ago to use hers and yours here.

JaneS, that is how Don was doing his cereals when he was at my place. At least it is much safer too.

Good morning everyone, it is pouring here, for a change the wea ther guessers got  it right but I don't hear the strong wind they said would be here with the rain.
We got a message under our doors yesterday, the Vaccinations will start in this building on February 2nd from 4 pm to 10 pm. They usually start on the residents on the first floor. I cannot see me witing to 10 at night to get a shot, most nights I am sound asleep by 9 pm. There will be a second one on 2-23 and another one on 3-16.

BUBBLE  thank for the nice clean Soda Shoppe. How may of those old PSP's do you have? I saw Phyllis' name and know she does not do PSP any more. I still miss it but know I cannot do it anymore.

PHYLLIS  was so nice seeing your sundae  in  the first graphic. Looks good enough for me to enjoy.

JANE  hope you took advantage of the coupon. I call Yvette a coupon queen and  she takes advantage on sales with those she has. She sure saves me money when she shops for me.

CALLIE  how grea t that Emily was hired by the clinic. Wonderful she didn't have to hunt  for a job.

BUBBLE I have some of my old creations if you would like them. Think I s till have some I used in PhotoBucket.

Think I will go get  on the couch and have a nap, woke too early this morning.

Have a good day and stay safe from Covid.

LLOYD  wish we would get snow instead of rain.

Good morning..

I woke to a winter wonderland! I don't think I will ever get tired of looking at the beauty of it. Of course this also means more work ,my dance with Mr Snow blower is inevitable.
We also have to take the garbage away sometime today.

Gloria, you would love what we have ,not too deep but gracing the pine trees and sitting on bare branches like fluffy cotton balls.

Better get ready to go play in the snow.

Enjoy your day and stay safe..

But other than that I will be glad to get yours or anyone's too.  You must all be tired to see mine all the time!

Good Morning Everyfriend!  It's actually only in the mid 30s this morning but there's no wind so it doesn't feel as cold as it is.  Now snow but we had some rain overnight.

BUBBLE, I'm another who loves the pictures!  I don't do that stuff.  Never learned how so I'm in awe of those of you who do it.

I have heard nothing about any vaccines for the older generation in this area unless you are a nursing home resident or you live in Senior housing.

Cathy was here this morning and noticed that the curtains were all down and the ironing board was up.  She warned me, in no uncertain terms that I am not to climb up to put them back up.  She also took some home to do an adjustment on them to save me some time and changed a light bulb in the hall while she was here.

I guess I better get moving or nothing will get done around here today.  I wish you all a good day...better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow.

Good morning from another quiet morning. Nothing new here either other than Farrah is getting brave. Yesterday, I was visiting at my door, mask on and appropriate distances observed when she decided to come up and peer out and down the hallway. This is the first time in the five years she's lived here that she's gone within several feet of an opened door.

I wish that they would come here to give the vaccinations. You have to call and make an appointment and then go to one of the health centers specified. People have asked about having it here, but management says we are not in that designation. It is enough that the state decided everyone 65 and over is now eligible since January 11th. And that was undoubtedly because Alaskan Natives are a huge voting block in this state, and they revere elders

JaneS, about the cereal; you really, truly have to stir it into the boiling water, and if you take it off burner, the cereal does NOT mix into the water, and you get great big clumps/lumps that aren't cooked, that you can't eat.  In a previous life
(lol) I could navigate the pouring/stirring quite well. But since I broke the shoulder/wrist, I have to use that hand to pour, while the good hand stirs!  It's just an inconvenience when I make a mess.  The other day about lunch time, I was heating some soup, lightly covered so as not to spatter...ha, ha, ha.  The cover blew off the bowl, and I had clam chowder all over the microwave.  Not my fault, but I'm the one has to clean it up! Wonder if they'll invent self-cleaning microwaves?

Just here for a minute to let you all know I am finally feeling better.  The medicine is final starting to kick in.  My breathing is much better and I don't have that hyper ventilating feeling anymore.  I will see the Heart doctor on Tuesday and my Primary doctor in a couple weeks. I had a phone call visit with the Primary Care doctor yesterday  She was happy that I was feeling better.  She really didn't want to increase the medicine , as she doesn't like to give older patients strong anti depressants. I am just grateful I am feeling better.  Still weak and tired.  Will try to get back soon.  Thanks for your thinking of me.

Good Morning Everyone from the
rainy and warm (almost 50) rocky
coast of Maine.

Amazing weather we are having...
Middle of January and we still haven't
seen  a real New England Winter..
(I wonder if global warming has anything
to do with it??)

I hope that everyone has a better
day and to those who are really
feeling poorly,  may you feel better
and better as the days go on.

The news here in the USA regarding
Covid and Politics is still awful..

Here is hoping  we improve greatly
in the next few weeks...

Peace to Everyone..

Laundry done but not hung out as it is still snowing..

Put an apple crisp in the oven for dessert and finished up left over s for supper.
I did manage to get some sewing  done, not a lot but some.

Joy, great to see you and can tell you are feeling better. Keep up the good work.

Sandy good to see you also..

Thank you for the birthday wishes, no party here. I've been busy doing laundry because I knew my sons were busy today & daughter in the DC area where her daughter & family are living.
Having trouble believing this is really January because I missed Thanksgiving & Christmas... what happened to the holidays???? It seemed like only a few weeks ago my brother died and it will soon be a year. One thing for sure, I am a year older (86) and today feeling every year.

Joy, happy you are feeling better. Tome, glad you explained about having to "cook" the cereal, it has been a long time since I fixed it but since so many cereals are now microwave cooked, I was afraid my memory was failing.

Amy, that's the kind of snow we had, heavy & wet & perfect for making a snow man or snow balls, but didn't have anyone to play with. I did clean my driveway off but could have waited, the other driveways melted off in a couple days.

Cats are waiting to be fed again. I didn't walk down to the river with them so they will pout. Washer is waiting for me to put clothes in the dryer so better move, have 3 more loads I hoped to get done today but not done. Bad me....

:hb3: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SHIRLEY! I HOPE YOU HAVE LOTS MORE!

jOY, so glad you're feeling better.  and SANDY, nice to see you!  And nice to see all the regulars.

Today was not an easy day around here.  Lots happening that invades the thoughts as the day goes on.  And I'm trying to get the curtains all ironed and back up.  I've been told, in no uncertain terms that I have to stop climbing on ANYTHING!  Cathy says she's happy to do anything she can to help me continue living in my house but if I fall and break something else, that might not be possible.  I wonder how it would be if we all just had a button that would make our arms longer when we needed it and normal when we don't?

I'm really tired tonight so as soon as I can take Mickie for last outie, I'm going to do that and then head for the haystack.  I wish you all a peaceful night's sleep and a happy, healthy, germ-free tomorrow.  And may God bless us, every one!

Good morning

Seems that Mr Snow Blower wants another dance..not a lot of snow to deal with but it does need to be removed. Really can't complain as we have been so lucky this year  in not dancing our legs off!

We had 19 doves at the fed yesterday , what a difference between them and the Jays. Doves just carry on eating while the Jays will eat, fight, than start eating again.

Didn't take the garbage away so that will be done today. and then rest..

Jane, you listen to Cathy!! You know she doesn't mind helping  and think of the fun you two can have when together.

Time to get my dancing clothes on..

Enjoy your day and stay safe.

good afternoon everyone, Had this almost finished and it went away. I do have so much  trouble wi th his computer no mat ter what  I t ry  to do.

AMY  have not heard any news so don't know how much rain we had but if it was snow migh t have been from 8-12". I love it when the trees and wires and every thing is covered with snow and looks so clean and beautiful. Don't think no matter how old I get I will never be tired of seeing the snow. I love to set inside or out on the porch wathing it fall.

BUBBLE I had saved a lot of my work before I sent it to Photo Bucket. I will have to check what I did and saved. With so many new people around they most likel;y never saw them. They sure are not as complicated wit h the backgrounds like you are doing now that make me want to try them. I wonder if I should spllurge on a new comput er and get rid of any thing HP. I have had nothing but trouble with this one.

JANE  when I found the PSP folder in SN i enjoyed seeeing wha t I saw unt ill Agnes did a windmill with the light moving. Now that  fascinated that somone could do that on their personal computers. BUNNIE encouraed me to download a PSP trial and tha t got  me hooked.

TOEMREADER  I seldom use my microwave, ra ther hea t on he s tove. I alwas use a bigger pan than needed and the same with a bigger bowl when I use the microwave. Bot h shoulders don't work good and I don't have much strength in with either arm. Cannot even s tand at the st ove long enough to fry an egg. When I comes to eating my CNA does the cookin‌g for me and most of the housework. I get around wi th a rollator so no need for a nursing home yet .

JOY  my doctor does not like prescribing meds unless really needed. She did  take 4 away that  other doctors prescribed and I was happy with that. This one has done more for me in  the 5 years I have been going to her than 2 others I had for 20 years.

LLOYD  I have  trouble remembering things  these days, people  tell me it  is because I have so many things s tored in my brain it is hard getting the right words I need.

SANDY  we have not had a  temperature down to zero and lower in several years here and for this part on New England that is hard to believe. Kids here used to be on the frozen ponds skating from the first of November.  Still not frozen yet.

Have a good day and stay safe.

I'm sorry my posts today are short.  I've had a really hard day today.  My son was tested a week ago for covid because of his association with a guy who works for him who had it.  The test came back negative but for a couple of days he was feeling ill and called the Dr. back and the did a more extensive test on him and it came back last night positive!  I'm having a hard time dealing with this.  There is nothing I can do to help him.  I fear for him and I love him!  All I can do is pray and cry!  Please pray for him! His name is Phil.

Jane, so sorry about Phil and hope he has a mild case. Tell him my best advice is to give in to whatever sounds good to eat and sleep as much as he can. I do believe our bodies heal better when we just give in to what "the body" wants. My daughter is visiting her daughter & family & tomorrow her 4 year old gr-daughter will be tested since one of her schoolmates tested positive. My daughter will be 65 in 10 days, has Crohns but right now in better shape than she has been for years. I still worry about what IF she tests positive & being so far from home. Prayers for your son, hopefully this nightmare will be over soon, just like it was all those years ago with polio.

I'm off to bed early, like Jane, been a stressful week. Sweet dreams to all and God Bless.

Gloria, that was a darling card & brought memories of skating on the ponds & creeks and how a leaf or stick frozen in the ice could make you do a flip so fast! Fun times! Thanks.

Sunday night HELLO to all.

JANE, I am so sorry to read that Phil has tested positive for the Covid virus.  I will pray for him and for you, as it is as hard on mama's as it it our kids.  Many folks have had the virus and manage to come through it in no time, and I certainly hope and pray that Phil is one of those.  Of course, there is also the concern for the family, so I will also pray that they will not get it.

We are still doing everything we can to find out where we can get vaccinated, however it is looking like it may be awhile as there is evidently a shortage of vaccines.  I have not been face to face with anyone since Christmas Day and Bob has only been in a pharmacy a couple of times and a couple quick trips to the grocery store.

Our youngest son and daughter-in-law dropped off a surprise for us yesterday.  Of course he just dropped it on the door step and ran so we would not see him😩. They brought us a cute box with goodies from Whole Food for a nice happy hour.  Three nice cheeses and a couple of packages of fresh sliced salamis or something like that as well as crackers and two nice brochettes spreads.  Very sweet of them...but I sure wish they had let us SEE them from a distance and say HELLO.  I so miss seeing any of our family face to face😩😥

Like everyone......I CAN NOT WAIT FOR THIS COVID TO END!

Yesterday I spoke on line to friends that some of you might remember....The Thomas's from Perth Western Australia?  Eugene and Daughter Nadia. Nadia sent us a nice Christmas Card and a beautiful calendar with pictures from their area.  I was sending her a thank you and accidentally hit a button that called her.....I hung up right away, as I thought it might be in the middle of the night there.  Luckily, it was morning and she called me right back.  During our conversation we discussed Covid 19, and I do not know if any of you know this but Australia has pretty much NO Covid at all.  They shut things down n immediately and nipped it in the bud right away.  We could have done the same thing IF we had reacted like they did immediately......oh how I wish we had😩😤😡

I hope you all had a good Sunday.  Sleep well.

Jenny

My advise stay away from doctors office's and Hospitals wash often with plenty of hot water and soap. use common since with you do. and the best is pray, god will take care of us. Just look at all the accident's I have had and god pulled me through.

Good morning ..

Another new start to the week, not sure what the day will bring so we shall see. I do know I need to make bread but that is the only to do. Cleaning is a given here with two dogs.

We may see some sun today with snow coming tomorrow. So far this has been an easy winter with milder temperatures.

Gloria, I also like looking at it from the inside but if we get too much snow I get to go and play in it.

Jenny , that was a very thoughtful gift  your son left. This covid can't be over with soon enough for me but I don't think it will be soon. Too many people are not listening and don't obey the rules.

Enjoy your day and stay safe..

Prayers for Phil, Jane, that it will be mild and that he will get well soon.  And, also, that you will stay healthy, too.

Laundry day here but not much else is planned.  The sun is shining brightly but it is cold and breezy.

Take care, All.

Good morning everyone well at leas t I am here a t a more normal time today.  I finally talked  to my  SIL yest erday on Skype. He sounds and looks good. I have seen him walking in the background at times. I just pray they both survive this mess in good health. I know my daughter looks better since he is home and doing good. I could see the worry on her face before.

JANE  I am so sorry about  your son. I pray he recovers fast and does not end up wi th pneumonia like my SIL did. Hope i t is mild enough he can s tay home and not go t o the hospi tal.  I pray for Phil and for you and the family.

SHIRLEY  thought you would like that winter scene, I liked it myself, and we both still like snow and winter.

JENNY  next  time you are in touch wi th Eugene and Nadia  tell them I said hello and I sure remember meeting them when they were here wi th Shirley. Nadia sent me pic tures of her wedding to post in the nes t but that  was when SN cut us out so could not do that.

LLOYD  you are proof that God has watched over you.

AMY  some people hink the rules are made for others and not  for them. I know a person like tha t, gets me so angry to see her with no mask or taking any precautions.

PHYLLIS  sun is shining here but have not looked at the temperature.

Have a good day and stay safe.

Thank you Everyone!  I appreciate all the thoughts and prayers.  I had a phone call from a dear friend and she gave me some things to think about.  I also talked to my son on the phone and he said he is feeling somewhat better today.  His headache is gone and he's not coughing but he's really tired.  I told him that's God's way of saying get more sleep!  Mickie and I are going for a walk!  Hope everyone's day is going well.

Janie, my family who tested Positive all had quite a bit of fatigue for almost a week and dil had a lingering cough.  However, after the required quarantine, they all were - and remain - feeling fine.  I pray it's the same for your son.

Jenny, how nice that you had contact with Eugene Thomas and his daughter.  I became acquainted with Eugene and his wife (can't remember her name) at a couple of Bashes but lost touch when Senior Net disappeared.

Nothing much going on at my house.  I did get the tax stuff sorted out and some laundry done.  ....which reminds me; I think there's a load waiting to go in the drier.

Hope Everyfriend is finding some reason to have at least a Merry Monday Moment or two.  :smitten:

Lloyd, that is such a good read, I remember how much it meant when you sent it after Cas died. I think right now all of us can relate to it with the fear of Covid changing our lives so much. Thank your gr-daughter for posting it for us, please.

Jane, extra prayers for Phil and you (and everyone that loves him). There doesn't seem to be any reason why one person gets it hard and another just a light case. My friend here is 10 days younger that I am and was sure her cough was just nasal drip because it has been a problem for years. It was Covid but that was all the problems she had until a week later when she realized she was being absent minded and had always been totally organized. Weeks later she is still concerned that she forgets to do things. Since I was doing the same for weeks after, I could assure her "that will pass", it just takes time. She also has been shocked that any time she sits down she falls asleep and never did that before. The appetite comes back, bet some of Mom's soup would hit the spot.... When I worry I cook.

Going to fix me some oatmeal & go back to bed. All 3 cats had their tuna breakfast & Tom & Callie went out. Expect they are ready to come back in and use the litter box. My training has not been successful as far as cats go.

Good morning ..
I am making this a quickie as we are off to the grocery store in a bit. Picking up groceries for us and a few items for the neighbour.

Lloyd, love you poem and thank you Niccole  for posting it.
 I did copy it also.

For those that find the print hard to see  here is the poem. Lloyd, thank you again for the poem.

Better get my outside clothes on.

Take care and stay safe.

When tomorrow starts without me,
And I am not there to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
All filled with tears for me;
I wish so much you wouldn't cry
The way you did today,
While thinking of the many things,
We didn't get to say.
I know how much you love me,
As much as I love you,
And each time that you think of me,
I know you will miss me too;
But when tomorrow starts without me,
Please try to understand,
That an angel came and called my name,
And took me by the hand,
And said my place was ready,
In heaven far above,
And that I'd have to leave behind
All those I dearly love.
But as I turned to walk away,
A tear fell from my eye
For all my life, I'd always thought,
I didn't want to die.
I had so much to live for,
So much left yet to do,
It almost seemed impossible
That I was leaving you.
I thought of all the yesterdays,
The good ones and the bad,
I thought of all the love we shared,
And all the fun we had.
If I could relive yesterday,
Just even for a while,
I'd say good-bye and kiss you
And maybe see you smile.
But then I fully realized,
That this could never be,
For emptiness and memories,
Would take the place of me.
And when I thought of worldly things,
I might miss come tomorrow,
I thought of you, and when I did,
My heart was filled with sorrow.
But when I walked through heaven's gates,
I felt so much at home.
When God looked down and smiled at me,
From His great golden throne,
He said, "This is eternity,
And all I have promised you.
Today your life on earth is past,
But here life starts anew.
I promise no tomorrow,
But today will always last,
And since each day's the same way
There's no longing for the past.
You have been so faithful,
So trusting and so true.
Though there were times you did some things.
You knew you shouldn't do.
But you have been forgiven
And now at last you're free.
So won't you come and take my hand
And share my life with me?"
So when tomorrow starts without me,
Don't think we're far apart,
For every time you think of me,
I'm right here, in your heart.

Good morning everyone, woke with light flashing outside. Gets in on the sides of the shades. So much for room darkening shades but they came with the apartment. i t is 25 now and feels more like winter. Only thing is there is no white coming down or on the trees and ground. Just heard on the news a new strain of  the virus is worse and will be around more in a few months. Maybe they should stop international travel. Of course that would hurt airlines and cruises.

JOY  hope you keep on feeling better. Do miss you when you don't post.

JANE  at least your son is home and no t in the hospital like my SIL was. I think going to a hospital these days is not a safe place to be. SIL is breathing better every day and slowly building up his strength. After being flat on his back for 6 days on oxygen it took a lot out of him. He also lost a lot of weight. Daughter told me yesterday he has gained 3 pounds since being home and eating better.

CALLIE  Eugene's wife's name was Shirley.

LLOYD  I remember this poem when you posted it before and I think I had saved it then and will save it now, too. Wish I could have seen your little 2 yea r old running around. I remember mine doing  tha t.

AMY  have fun in  the market, hope you find every thing on your lists.

Have a good day and stay safe.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  It's still winter where I am and we are supposed to have snow flurries today.  They never seem to amount to much and I can't even see them unless I happen to be out.

The report on Phil is "better today but still sleepy".  His wife is a very good cook when she has time and he reported that she made Chicken Corn soup yesterday and it was excellent.  So I guess his taste buds are still working.

Had a text from daughter Christy in Maryland.  She works for a place that was recently bought by Brinks Collection agency.  Brinks puts out a bulletin every month and this month she made the page that lauds employees.  Her coworkers are so proud of her and so is her family!

Please keep the prayers coming for Phil.  Thanks for that.

Time to get myself dressed and take Mickie for a walk.  This is my day!  I wish you all a good day....better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow.

Groceries are all put away (not a fun job) and another pan of nutz and bolts in the oven cooking.

Snowing here ,was light at first but is now a lot more serious ..I think the band may be striking up a dance :(

Jane, that is great new on Phil..here to a fast recovery for him and no one else gets it in the family!!
Congratulations to Christy, it is good that the company acknowledges  what an excellent worker she is!

Better get back to work!

I only loaded them to him, should have been up to him to bring them home  when he was not using them. but the Lawler said better to weight closer to court hearing date. to ask for it. I feel better now but, the Lawler's make it cost as many $$$ as they can $5oo.oo every bill we get. good Night and sweet dreams.

Day is done, Gone the sun....

I didn't seem to get much done today but the day slipped by.

LLOYD, lawyers are NOT cheap!  I hope yours gets things done for you and you get the tools back or payment for them.

I think Christmas is finally over!  I got a nice Christmas present that we all thought was lost in the mail. It was intact and very special and it was fun to have something to open this far past the season!

Also, Phil is definitely on the mend.  He said he's sleeping all the time and waking up just to eat and take care of necessaries.  And I have an appointment on Feb. 18th for a vaccination!  Things are moving along!

I going to bid you all good night because I probably won't get back later.  And after 3 days without Cooper, he's coming over tomorrow so we have to be up and attem early.

I wish you all a peaceful nigh't sleep and a happy, healthy, germ-free tomorrow.  And may God bless us, every one!

Popping in to say HELLO to EVERYFRIEND.

CONTINUED thoughts and prayers for Phil, JANE.  It does sound good that he is feeling better already.  I am sure his being able to eat and sleep as much as he can is what is going to get him through this sooner.  Great news to read that your lost package did arrive.

LLOYD, I do hope this legal matter can get over soon and in your favor.  I have my copy of TOMORROW  that you and Nancy mailed to me, framed and I look at it every day and think of your kindness for sending it to me.

CALLIE, Shirley is Eugene's late wife's name.  She was a lovely lady.
Pleasant dreams to all.

Good morning everyone. When I went to pull the shades down last night I looked out like I usually do and it was snowing. Not much covered the tops of cars and all the grassy areas. Did not last long, was stopped when I looked out again before going to bed.

JANE  glad Phil is feeling OK, prayers he has a very mild case of the covid. How wonderful for Christy, must take after you being a good worker.

AMY  if the snow you got last night was beautiful  want to be there to enjopy it.

LLOYD  hope the judge sees things your way and Bob has to give you every thing back of yours or else pays you for them.

JANE  we get the first shot here on 2/2. i DON'T LIKE THE HOURS FOR THEM, from  4 pm till 10 pm. Most nights I am in bed before 10. They always start with the fist floor, wish they took turns and start with the 3rd floor this time.

JENNY  when the 3 Aussies were here they took me out for lunch and would not even let me leave a tip. That trip cost a lot and I hated for Eugene to do that. Shirley mentioned that she wished she had a few books to read so when we got  back to my place Nadia went upstairs with me and picked a few of mine for Shirley. She would never have made those old stairs. Before I moved here I needed help to go up and down them.

Goodness not many here yesterday. Got my daughter and SIL's Christmas gift out for them yesterday. With everything so upside down for them with him in the hospital and her being home alone except for their little dog. Think I will go get into the shower now, laundry day later and I already have the heater on in the bathroom. Only way I can shower in the winter, no heat in there and I cannot get out of a warm shower into a cold room anymore.

Have a good day and be safe.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  It's 30º and snow flurries here.  I can see these flurries because some of it is lying on the grassy areas.  The temp is only supposed to reach 34 today so it's going to be "winter" here.

I hope the flurries finish up because I'm supposed to take Mickie to the groomers for a bath and a haircut this morning at 10.

Haven't heard any more from Phil but I don't usually talk to him until around noon.

It's almost time for the boinger and that means that Cooper will be arriving also unless Frankie is "running late".  She does that quite often.

I wish you all a good day...better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow!

Good morning..

Woke to a winter wonderland..not sure as to how much snow fell but will find out soon enough. Not sure if it is dancing weather or not??

Have my list of chores and floors washed are first on the list. Then I will whittle the list down, I hope.

Jane, hope Phil recovers quickly and finds each day better than the last. Men can be rather bullheaded err.. I mean strong willed when it comes to resting. Glad your Christmas has come to an end. Great news on the vaccine!!

Lloyd as Jane said lawyers are not cheap but they can help you out of this I hope.

Gloria, yes, we did get  the snow...and oh my it is so pretty out there now! We didn't lose the last snowfall off of the trees and now this on top!

Jenny, prayers for Michele, hope the Drs have come up with a solution on treating her.

Better get my dancing clothes on and investigate if I can watch from the sidelines or participate in the dance.

Enjoy your day and stay safe.

Bad news on my end, also.

My son tested positive for the virus also.  He had been to the doctor's for bronchitis and then they tested him again and it was positive.  I am very upset,  Sure didn't need that worry.

I do feel somewhat better.  Do not have hard breathing. Just so sleepy and tired.

Just wanted to check in.

Joy, sorry your son tested positive but I am also worried about YOU.... both my friend and I thought we had sinus (coughing-drainage) and so sleepy & tired the first few days after we tested positive. So far of all the people I personally know that tested positive had the sleepy & tired symptoms. Do get yourself tested and do what your body wants. I craved fruit, especially oranges. I am still drinking Gatorade because my taste buds approve! Hugs to you & your son.

Jane, glad to hear Phil is doing better. My great grand got her results back today and she is okay to go back to school! My daughter is visiting them so got caught in the web... and will now be able to come home later this week as scheduled.

Wishing all a healthy week, prayers for all & hide out until this is over! Shirley

Oh JOY, I know just how you feel about your son!  It's worse than feeling sick yourself.  You just worry and pray that they will be alright.

SHIRLEY, I'm glad your family is recovered.  I like hearing that news because it means good can come.

I watched the inauguration and news most of the day today.  It was definitely different from previous inaugurations!  But I was pretty much impressed with how it was handled!  And I liked the speeches.  I hope they all live up to them!

I'm off to the haystack to track down some zzzzzs.  I think I hear them calling my name!  I didn't take a chance driving in the snow today to take Mickie to the groomer.  I resecheduled and I was able to get in tomorrow so we'll do it then.

I wish you all a peaceful night's sleep and a happy, healthy, germ-free tomorrow.  And may God bless us, every one!

Guess I will finish whittling down my list today after  thee dance.

Better shake a leg ..

Enjoy your day and stay safe

Good Morning Everyfriend!  At least I'm not talking to myself this morning!  Cooper has arrived and the dogs have been fed and had a nice outing and I'm relaxing until it's time to take Mickie to the groomer.  Then Cooper and I will do a few errands while we wait for her.

I don't have much planned for today! I sure hope things change for the better soon.  I really miss PEOPLE!

Just heard from Phil.  He says he's "much better but still way below 100º"  For him to admit that means he's got a long way to go!

I'm going to try to get some stuff done before I have to load the dogs in the car.  I wish you all a good day...better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow.

I'm sorry, Joy.  Try to keep your spirits positive and take care of yourself. And, sort of good news about your son, Jane.  It will take awhile for him to get to 100% but it sounds like he is going the right way.

Cloudy and chilly here but no snow and no rain so I won't complain.

I was so impressed by the young poet laureate at the inauguration yesterday.

Take care, All.

Good morning everyone, a whole 16 now and I already turned the heat up in here. Sun is shining for now but most of the day will be cloudy. All I need now is some snow falling and I will know i t is really win ter. Oh well cannnot have everything I want . I woke up this morning and  that should be enough , right?
My olderson does not believe in the shots for the covid and sending me emails about what could happen. I think he wants  to scare me into not getting the shot.

JANE  hope those flurries stop so you got to the groomers. Pray your son is better today t han yesterday.

AMY  I would like it  if you would send some of that winter wonderland this way. Of course if we had a lot of i t Yve tte most likely would s tay home.

JOY  y ou know those tes ts are no t always right. I pray your son will be alright.

SHIRLEY  i DON'T SEE MANY PEOPLE. Darn the caps was locked again. I see my 2 sons and Yvette and that is about all.
JANE  I know how I worried and prayed for my daughter and SIL. I know he is not a son but aft er more than 40 years he is like my son. When he got home af ter being in the hospital he looked worn and skinny. He is looking so much be tter now with my daughters TLC he looks more llike he looked before.

Have a good day and stay safe.

I lost my post, but the pertinent facts were the weather, in January, known for minuses in the thirties and forties, has been crazy, going from forty above one day to minus three the next and back again.

In the Southeast, where most denialists live, deaths shot up yesterday to twenty-four when the norm is two or three per day. Our daily count went up yesterday from an average of ten and under to 57 with no deaths the past week. The Interior has perhaps eight total out of the state's losses. We remain for now in the total lockdown instituted last March.

Lloyd, the first part was about how in a normally frigid month, it has been hot instead.

In the second part, I spoke of more virus deaths in Alaskan places where people weren't careful and following health rules. I wondered if they didn't understand the consequences of not staying safe.

Another one of those bleak wintry days.  The sun came out for about 20 minutes just as I had to drive into town to pick up Mickie and it was directly in my eyes.  I have to be extra careful on those days.

I got some odd jobs done today but it's another of those days where nothing shows.  Had a pretty good supper but I'm really getting tired of being alone!  Even the errands I did didn't involve contacts with people.  I handed over the leash to the groomer and then took it back when she was finished.  I dropped a letter in an outside letter box and Cathy came out of her office to get a package from me.  Then I mad a quick stop at Davy's for 3 items and came home.  The closest thing to a visit was talking to the man in front of me in line at Davy's.  Not very rewarding!

Now I'm off to the haystack.  I hear the zzzzs calling my name.  I hope tonight is as good as last night.  I slept almost 7 hours without having to get up.  I do remember turning over a couple of times and fluffing the pillow and checking to see where Mickie was but went right back to sleep.

I wish you all a peaceful night's sleep and a happy, healthy, germ-free tomorrow.  And may God bless us, every one!

Good morning..

Dance music is still playing and my dance will begin  shortly. Not sure what else is on the agenda other than household  duties and laundry.

Jane and Joy hope both your sons are on the mend.

Gloria,  this winter wonderland is pretty but it also means more work for me. Thank goodness it is a job I enjoy doing :)

Patricia, there are those that don't take this virus seriously. I have no idea  of how to make them pay attention to it. Maye someone close to them has to lose their life and then maybe???

Better get ready to meet the day.

Enjoy your day and stay safe.

Good morning everyone, 28 this morning andweather guesser says sunny all day and windy. Gee maybe I can get outside for a walk if not too windy. Tired of looking at these walls.

LLOYD  a good night's sleep always great. I know when I get 7 or 8 hours sleep I wake easier. If I get less I will lay on the couch after breakfast and sleep a cou ple of hours.

PATRICIA  I am at the stage where I don't want to watch the news aymore. We in this building have all signed up for the shots and we get the first one on 2-2 so not much longer to wait.

JANE  if not having Yvette here 5 days a week and my younger son for a visit on Saturday morning I would see no one except my daughter on Skype every day. Cannot hug her that way.

AMY  good thing y ou do no t mind your snow dancing days. I never minded shoveling my paths and driveway to get out to work. Living here the maintenance  man keeps all the walks clean with his small plow. If the snow is coming down fast at night he is out there once every hour to keep them clear. Never know when someone has  to call the rescue to take them t o the hospital or fell and cannot get up.

Looks like I got here too early, not many posts since yesterday.

Have a good day, mask up and stay safe.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  After a pretty good night, we're up and attem!  I have to keep this short this morning because I have to go make dog food before I can feed Mickie.

Cooper will be coming over around 9:30 today and the only thing I have on the agenda is to clean out the hall storage closet.  The big part of that is to get rid of storage containers that don't have matching lids.  I think I'll bring out a table from the storage room for that matching job.  I'm not looking forward to it.  But this Saturday is recycling day so it's a good time to do it.

AMY, I didn't talk to the invalid but when I dropped off the soup no one answered the door so I texted to make sure they took it in before it froze.  Seems they were ALL out walking the dog.  I guess he's feeling somewhat better.

I wish you all a good day....better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow!

P.S.  Gloria, you beat my post.

The dance is done and not without some giggles. The snow blower is  also electric start and I took it outside to start up,  then I went to shut the garage door by means of a key pad. Turned around only to see snow blower starting without me! :2funny:  The vibration of the motor caused it to go down the garage apron..slow..but I couldn't help but laugh out loud.

Jane, fresh air is good  as long as he doesn't over do it. How is the rest of the family? Hope their test came back negative.

Another day is over!  I finished cleaning out the shelves that had the storage containers in all sizes and shapes and now there's nothing in there that doesnpt have a matching lid!  And I have a tall kitchen can bag of plastic ready for the recycling.  Now when I go to get a container for something I won't be frustrated by not finding a lid!  I wonder how I managed to collect so much mismatched stuff?

AMY, you better be careful or your dance parter will be finding a new partner to dance with.  It doesn't sound like he wanted to wait for you.  His toes were tapping!

Both Sarah and Kiran tested negative but they are also under quarantine because of their association with Phil.  And neither of them appears to be coming down with it.  They will all have to be tested again.

PHYLLIS, glad you checked in!

I'm off to the haystack to find some zzzzs.  It'll be a different night tonight.  Cooper is staying overnight because his "MOM" has to be to work at 6 a.m.  I don't sleep as well when he's here but I'm sure the couch will beckon when necessary.  I wish you all a peaceful night's sleep and a happy, healthy, germ-free tomorrow.  And may God bless us, every one!

Grocery shopping for a friend and ourselves then home to stip.... beds that is . Our bed plus the  doggie beds need washed.

Not sure what the rest of the day will bring tho........will know better tonight when it is all said and done.

Gloria, I like the paths, walk ways done wide for the same reason. We have two ramps here one out front and one you access from the garage.

Jane, good news for Sarah and Kiran!

good Morning everyone. AMY I have been to Granville Canada when it was 50 below. I had at that time a full beard down on the top edge of my overhauls bib. and got out of truck on passenger side of truck and walked around the front of it up steps of dock swung the doors on the barn out to back of trailer
opened the trailer door let the horses out and go into barn, I had 4 ice sickles on my mustache about 4" long. that was enough for me and was last trip we made up there. in those days we did not have to have a passport just stop and check in and report where we were going with our horses. we now have passports and when we get the motor home fixed and travel is lightened up we come up there and hopefully get to where we can meet with you.

Good morning everyone, yesterday we had sun most all day, not warm but was so good to see. So much better than all the gray gloomy days we have been having. Would not have minded if we had some snow to look at .

JANE  yes I was here before you yesterday but I slept late this morning and imagine everyone has posted already.

AMY  seeing the snowblower taking off alone make you wish it was remote control? Just think you could be nice and warm inside and control where it clears the snow away.

PHYLLIS  just a few words is better than none at all.

JANE  over the years it is surprising about wha t we collect. How many years have you lived in your  house? When I moved to the apart men t in my son's house I swore I would not collect  any thing again. Surprised aboput all I got rid of before I moved here. Prayers for your son and his family.

LLOYD  better signing in la e  than not  signing in at all. We do worry about  you when we do no t hear from you.

AMY  at that  below zero temperat ure I would no t go out  of the house for anything. When I was young it  never bot hered me but now I hve no more "blubber" to hold the heat in. The cold hits the bones too fast.

BUBBLE  I would not even attempt to solve that.

Have a good day and stay safe.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  I can still say "Good Morning" if I type fast and post in a hurry!  Lots going on this morning and I've been MOVING!  I met Cathy with my shopping list and my cards and while she was gone, I walked the doggies on two separate walks and ironed the curtain she brought back.  When she came back, we put up the curtains, took down the wreath I couldn't reach and then I put away the groceries.

After she left, I drove up to the recycling center and emptied out my car.  The guys that work there are so nice!  If you have something they don't take, they'll tell you about it and then take it anyway and dispose of it for you.  I drive in and park and flip the switch that opens the trunk and before I even get my hand on the door handle, they are taking stuff out of the trunk!

BUBBLE, I did the puzzles but I don't know if I'm supposed to post the answers or send them to you.  I'm probably wrong but it was fun!

AMY, I'm glad to hear that you stripped....the beds.  It's too cold for the other kind!

And it's also lunch time.  I'm hungry and I'm ready to grab a bite.  I think I'll finish off the Brussels Sprouts that I did in the air fryer.  They were really good and they're good for me

I wish you all a good day...better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow.

Whew I made it with my "Good MORNING".

Jane, two minutes to spare!!! Way ta go!!

My day was one of no planning but a lot done. Managed to get
our grocery, treats for next door neighbours and groceries for my friend. My neighbour said that the farm store had their seeds in!! So off we went again and we got most of our seeds  for the garden. Came home did laundry and hung it on the line, Jane it was freezing before I could get it out of the basket but did get it hung and blowing in the wind. Next was two bags of potatoes that I wanted to can so now I am waiting for that "thingy" to go down on the canner and they can be set out. In between waiting on the canner I did Bubbles quiz.......got one right but have just sent more answers to her and will know come morning.

I am more than ready to call it a night...

Seems like I just said "Good Morning" and now it's time to say "Good Night"!  Time does fly!

I got a bunch of stuff done this afternoon but none of it shows!  Oh well!  I know I did it!  Of course, part of it was a nap because I didn't sleep too well last night.  Cooper spent the night and he absolutely refused to sleep in the bed with Mickie and me.  He sat and watched while I got ready for bed but when I tried to coax him up, he sat and stared at me like I was speaking some foreign language and I was speaking very good "dog"!  Then he got up, turned around and walked out!  I watched him walk down the hall and when I checked in the middle of the night, he was back in his favorite spot on the couch.

Now, I'm off to the haystack.  I've been hearing the zzzzs calling my name for about an hour now and I think they're out in the hall looking for me.  Cooper will be early tomorrow (or if Frankie is running late, maybe not at all).  So we have to be up and attem early!

I wish you all a peaceful night's sleep and a happy, healthy, germ-free tomorrow.  And may God bless us, every one!

Jump up get a good hot fire going in the cook stove. we have a good old round oak cook stove, haven't used it in a long time. It has a brand new coper lining in the water warmer container on the rt side of it. I should take a picture of it and get Nicole to put it up here in S & F. Have a good day and a better tomorrow.

Good morning on the coldes t one yet this winter. 15 now at 8:20. I just turned the heat up, not going to sit here shivering. We aren' t supposed to have the thermostat set above 68. When I pull up the shades in the morning I can feel the cold air coming in. Beautiful building but windows are very cheap, none fit right.    The sun is shining bright, would love  to get out in the fresh air but not with this temperature. When my son came yesterday he was bundled up like when he had to work outside in the winter. This morning id even colder. Now we only need some snow it is winter.

JANE  looks like Coooper likes the couch better than the bed. In a way that is better, you sleep better without him moving around.

AMY  I would love to have your stove in the winter. If not yours then the one my Mom had when I was growing up. Oh the heat from that coming in from outside. No wonder in those days so long ago everyone congregated in the big kitchens, the warmest room back then, no central heat.

LLOYD  the cas t iron stove my Mom had had the  water warmer on  the right side but it was so old it  was corroded and water was no good coming out of it.

No Jane yet?

Have a good day and be safe.

A good Sunday Morning HELLO to EVERYFRIEND🌹

I have just finished my video church service and thought I best come in and see how you all are doing?

We have sunshine today but do have a few storms headed our way. One may give us some accumulation of the white stuff, but sadly many of them this winter have not.  The whole state is extremely dry.

LLOYD, your stove sounds very nice.  I do hope you can post a picture so we can all see what it looks like.

AMY, don't you be letting that snow blower go off dancing by itself again!  That must have been quite a sight!

JANE, sure happy to read that Phil seems to be feeling better and no one else has taken on the virus.  I have been thinking recently that you have not said much about Kiran recently. How is she doing and what is her "jam" these days?

GLORIA, the double pane windows do help with keeping the cold out, but when it is that cold out they just cannot do the job.  We open our shade up in the day time, but once the sun is starting to set we have to get them closed!  I think I have been colder this winter more than ever before....I keep telling Bob, "I am cold to the bone"!  I sure could use a trip to a warmer climate😘

Trying to decide what to fix for dinner today.... Yesterday I made beef and noodles and boy did it hit the spot!

We have a zoom Birthday celebration to be part of at one PM today.  All these new ways to do things the COVID WAY!

Have a good rest of your day, EVERYFRIEND.

Just in for a few minutes.

Still not feeling much better.  The doctor did increase the dosage of the meds, but just stared it today.

I am beginning to think something else is going on.  Just not improving that much.  I understand that a lot of people are having a lot anxiety.  It is a terrible feeling.

My son, who tested positive seems better.  Still has a couple days left in his quarantine.
I am just so tired and sleepy.  Go back to the doctor next Monday. Sure hope I feel better by then.

Have a good day.

Got up early today and Cooper did arrive.  I've been busy at "this and that" and every time I thought of coming by the Soda Shoppe, something else cropped up it little head begging for attention.  I feel good about getting all the corners cleaned out but I still have a long way to go.

JOY, I'm sorry to hear that you're not feeling better.  I've made a deal with Frankie to take me with her when she goes to visit her mother (my daughter) in Maryland next summer and they've agreed that we need to make a visit to you while I'm there.  I hope that's good news to you and helps you to feel better.  And I hope it all works out.

JENNY, I don't see as much of KIRAN since she's grown old enough to fend for herself after school.  However, we do have a standing date for lunch at McDonalds on the last day of school every year.  When I reminded her that I'll be 92 when she graduates from high school and maybe not driving, she assured me that she'll have her license by then and she'll come pick me up to go to lunch!  Good thoughts and memories.

AMY, Phil says he feels better every day but it'll be a while before he feels 100%  He went by the store to pick up the tax stuff so he could work on it at home and that's good news that he even feels like doing that.  The girls seem to have escaped.

Mickie's been fed but I'm not hungry yet so I'll wait until I am.  I've been busy playing with my new toy.  I spent some of my Christmas money to by a small Air Fryer and I love it!  I've had french fries that actually taste like french fries, hot dogs that are BETTER than any I've had on the grill, Brussels Sprouts that were out of this world, and the best grilled cheese sandwich I've ever had in my life.  Tomorrow, I'm doing hamburgers and french fried sweet potatoes.

I know it's late but I still wish you all a good (rest of the) day...better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow.

I know this may not appeal to any of you (probably Shirley), but today I told my daughter that the best small appliance I ever bought is my Dash Egg Cooker!  She got one before me, and brought it over one day to show me how it worked.  I was sold!  Well, you can make hard cooked eggs in about 7 minutes, and they come out like they were done by a professional chef.  Yolks cooked perfect, no rubbery whites, and no green around the yolks.  I know I can boil eggs in a pot of water, but even following the best instructions, something always goes wrong.  This egg cooker will also do soft boiled, has a little pan to do omelet in, and you can also fix other foods in the little dishs provided; like steam asparagus, or the chinese dumplings, which I can never get right.  It is a perfect thing for a one person household.  Easy to figure out, with a great set of instructions;  uses  distilled water only, that I have on hand for my humidifier anyway.  Just a suggestion, especially for anyone who likes hard-cooked eggs for deviled eggs, or just to eat with salt & Pepper.

Time to say Good Night my friends!  I've done as much as I can today and it's time to head for the haystack and look for some zzzzs.  I don't know why I'm so tired every night.  Maybe it's my age or the shape I'm in!  But I've decided it's not going to change so I have to live with it.

I wish you all a peaceful night's sleep and a happy, healthy, germ-free tomorrow.  And may God bless us, every one!

It is a dreary day here and pretty chilly for us but not like you up there, Gloria.  Hope it warms up for you soon.  I couldn't tolerate the thermostat set at 68. I keep mine at 73 and sometimes at 74.  I'm always under a furry throw and still feel cold.  I think my thyroid makes me feel the cold more.

Your egg cooker sounds perfect for you, Tome.  We all seem to have our favorite small appliance.  I am learning how to use the air fryer and I agree with Jane that it makes the best french fries (also sweet potato french fries) and hot dogs in toasted buns but still prefer my brussel sprouts sauteed in butter on top of the stove.  I made pork chops with rice in the Instapot last night and it was very good.  Rice is so easy in the IP and always comes out perfect.  We had breaded cauliflower baked in the oven with it.  That was a new thing from Bird's Eye and we liked them.

Laundry today so I'd better get at it.

Take care, All.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  I went to bed last night and I didn't set an alarm and I left my phone in the office.  It's been doing some ringing a couple times a night and there's nothing there so I decided I didn't need that.  And I slept a solid 7 hours!!  It feels great!!

PHYLLIS, the Brussels Sprouts in the air fryer had all the spices and butter that I used in the oven before and they were even better than in the oven but we all have our likes and dislikes.  Today I'm doing hamburbers and sweet potato fries in the AF.  I love it!

Hope everyone is feeling better today than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow!

Good morning everyone, slep t quite la te this morning, don't like that, morning is almost over already. At least it  is in the low 20's this morning and the sun is shining. 3 days in a row of sun WOW a shock in January.

JENNY  I close my shades when  the sun star ts set ting and open them af ter I wake up. I only get sun this time of year for a few hours in the afternoon, windows face west-southwest. Not that the windows are so cold but the drafts around them that are cold. What  is zoom? I have heard of it a few times and think it would be a great way to see all my family together.

JOY  hope the new meds help you. I wonder if it  is par tly because we are so isola ted and not talking and seeing others during the day. I am lucky I have Yvette here 5 days a week, the only one I see and talk to during the week and younger son comes every Saturday morning. He keeps his distance from me and will not even let me hug him when he leaves.

JANE  wish I could get corners cleaned, Yvette is no t a housekeeper but  a certified nursing assistant-CNA-she does do more than her job calls for and I cannot ask her to do more. She goes shopping, sweeps, washes the floors, polishes the furniture and gives me my back massage ( that is what  she is supposed to do. She cooks and is an all around help for me.I hope the trip to your daughter's next summer works out for y ou and Frankie. Would do y ou good to see different scenery for a few days.

TOMEREADER  I have seen thos egg cookers adver tised and wondered how they work I like mine wi th a soft yolk and a cooked white so boil for 4 minutes but getting the shell off is a problem.

JANE  like you I am tired every night. Usually by 7 I am dressed for bed and most nights aleep by 9 or 9:30. Hate getting up in the morning no matter how long I sleep by Mother Nature makes me get up and moving. I do need my 7 or 8 hours of sleep, always did.

LLOYD wonder if t hat grafing is how  they come up wi th new frui t.  Tha t is how they come up wit h varities of apples.

AMY  the witch would have a fit if I put those plastic windows up. I am surprised she lets up put up pictures on the walls.

PHYLLIS  I have had a longing for French fries lately, wonder if I should look into those fryers. My problem here is coun ter space is so llimited. Not much storage space either.

JANE  glad you slept great last night. I shut my cell off at night, do not need anything to wake me before I am ready to get up.

Have a good day everyone and s tay safe and covid free

Lloyd, the only thing I know about grafting is the University experimental farm began grafting apple branches onto chokecherry trees, and now some years later, we have apple trees from that grafting.

Gloria, getting the shell off the hard-cooked egg is really easy.  I don't know how a soft cooked would work.  The hard cooked...when they finish cooking, put them in a bowl of ice water for a few minutes, and when you take them out, that shell will come right off easily. I may try doing a soft boiled one just to see what happens. :-\

Sterility is a property of water, while distilled water is the type of water produced by the distillation process of water treatment. When applied to water, the word sterile means no viable (able to reproduce) bacteria, viruses, or any other type of viable microorganism present.

Sterile and distilled water are essentially pure H2O, but they are used for different purposes. Distilled water is distributed for use in laboratories and ordinary consumption. Sterile water is used in the medical community as a wound cleanser or an intravenous fluid.

Hello Everyfriend!  It's been a busy day!  Unfortunately, it's been one of those that the busy-ness doesn't show.  I have a lot of them lately.  One big one is walking the dogggie.  It takes more time lately because, like me, she's getting on in years.  And then she has to snuff every little thing along the way!  We do at least two long ones every day and sometimes a short one, too.

Today I made french fried sweet potatoes and cheeseburgers in the air fryer.  They were absolutely delicious.  I have to say the burger was venison burger but it was juicy and good and I had it on an English muffin with sweet tater fries on the side.  I'll do that one again.

I cleaned out another closet today.  I didn't actually get rid of anything but I put the summer stuff in a different closet so I can find what I want when I want it.  Cleaned up a couple of corners in the kitchen that were hollering for attention and put the car under cover.  We're supposed to have snow mixed with rain and then freezing rain all night.  Tomorrow morning is going to be BAAAAAD!

I'm off to the haystack to search out some zzzzzs.  I hope there are as many as there were last night!  I slept better last night than I have in weeks.

I wish you all a peaceful night's sleep and a happy, healthy, germ-free tomorrow.  And may God bless us, every one!

Another chilly one  14° at the moment and they are calling for more snow.

A day of catch up here, little jobs that keep poking their nose out that need to be dealt with.

Jane, sounds like you are really enjoying your air fryer!!

Gloria, I think your witch needs to fly off to another job. Maybe a guard in a prison??

Still no Shirley??

Better get a move on.

Enjoy your day and stay safe.

[
Water guidelines for neti pot:
-distilled or sterile water
-tap water that's been boiled for several minutes and cooled to a lukewarm temperature, which you can store up to a day in advance
-saline solution

Follow these steps to create your saline solution:

Add 1 teaspoon of kosher, pickling, or canning salt to a 16-ounce glass of lukewarm water.
Add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda to the glass.
Stir the solution.
You can store the remaining solution at room temperature for up to two days.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  After spending a lot of time on the phone yesterday, I did manage to get an earlier appointment for the Covid vaccine.  Instead of Feb. 18 I now go on Feb. 11 and I just have to pop around the corner instead of travelling 1/2 and hour away.  I think my daughter, Cathy is even happier than I am.

All I seem to be doing lately is eating and sleeping.  I spend a lot of time looking for recipes to use in my Air Fryer and then using them and then eating them.

We're getting just what the weather man said we'd get today....sleet and a big mess!  And it's cold so it's not going to melt on the roads and sidewalks very fast.  I'm really glad I don't have to go anywhere today and Frankie called off work so I don't have to worry about her driving in this "gunk" either.

I think I'll do a bit more sorting this afternoon and maybe try to get rid of some stuff.  I don't think I'll go out in this "gunk" to get rid of anything but there's always the car trunk!

I wish you all a good day....better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow.

Good morning.

Amy, the first thing that came to mind, reading about your little jobs, was the arcade game, whack a mole!  :bash:

Today will be another quiet one as laundry, vacuuming, and bathroom were all done on Saturday. I gave away my convertible microwave yesterday as it was getting dusty from lack of use. I also have a countertop oven that may go out. I'm paring down again even if they sit in the back closet awaiting donation areas opening up again.

One donation I'm attempting to work up to is my collection of scarves on their own organizer. I use to love wearing them in my hair, around my waist, and around my neck. They're lovely and so many different styles and materials. However, none of them have been off the hanger since late 2014, and they really need to go. Another issue is seven pairs of leather gloves and mittens to match each coat. I've procrastinated long enough.

A good Tuesday HELLO to EVERYFRIEND ❣️

SNOWING and cold out here today.  There might be more on the way but not much accumulation is expected.  IF it is going to be cold and dreary I sure wish we would get a LOT of moisture from it.  It snowed in Phoenix and Las Vegas yesterday....cRaZy🙀

PATRICIA, I organized all of my scarves and hats and gloves yesterday also.  Sadly, I did not get rid of that many, but the ones that are left are much easier to access now😍

JANE, sounds like you did a good job of organizing also.....good for you.  I just need to convince myself that I MUST get rid of more than I keep😱  It makes me happy to read how much you are enjoying your air fryer.  We love ours and are having fun experimenting how to cook different things in it.  So far nothing we have cooked has turned out bad!

GLORIA.... so happy to read you are "fine and dandy" today😘

AMY, there are SO MANY of those little jobs poking their noses out at me all around my home!  I need to be like YOU and take care of them!  I am trying though, honest I am.

Off to take on a HUGE job in our "extra room" that would be best to be described as a very messy storage room!  It is designed to be a bedroom, but our guest bedroom is down stairs and this room is the over flow for extra stuff!

Have a wonderful day.   Missing Shirley, I sure hope she is OK.

Ha Ha,  I am usually the one who is
organizing and reorganizing and
now everyone is doing it.

Good luck...  I just moved my
bedroom which was in the living room
into the back room which I was using
for storage....

I love it.  It makes for a great
Bedroom,  with everything in it that
I need and use and it is very warm...

Hooray!!

It is fun finding things that I haven't
seen for years... plus getting rid
of stuff that I no longer need.

I consider this a great success.

Good luck to all..

Hello Everyfriend!  It's been another one of "those" days!  You know the kind when you feel busy all day and there's not much to show for it.  I got up really early because I was expecting Frankie to drop off Cooper but the roads were so bad that she called off work and he didn't need us.

I made hot dogs for lunch in the air fryer...I love the toasted buns in there.  It gives a hot dog a bit of zing!

Two walks with Mickie in the "yucky muck" and that was enough!  It's just like slush that froze...hard to walk on and slippery, too!

I talked to one person...the office assistant at my dentist's office.  She was calling to let me know that I was way past time for a checkup so I made an appointment for after I get my covid vaccine.  Now there's nothing else to check.  I have an appointment for a shot, a dental check up, an eye checkup, an all over bi-yearly checkup and a chiropractic appointment.  The only thing left is my ears and I'm seriously thinking that it might be time to have my hearing checked!

And with all that said, I'm heading for the haystack.  Tomorrow will be another early day. Frankie has to be to work at 6 so Cooper will be here around 5:30.  I sure hope the haystack is loaded with zzzzzs because I sure need them!

I wish you all a peaceful night's sleep and a happy, healthy, germ-free, feel-good tomorrow.  And may God bless us, every one!

Good Morning everyone. well I had a pretty good sleep Nothing like your own bed, according to the tattle tail 6.5 hours sleep, and I feel pretty good. I looked in the gallery and seen the picture of our round oak cook stove Loaded with microwave Oven and other utensils. they could be set off and have a fire built in it. In the past when I was batching I sure did. all works fine, Bake biscuits  in the oven and make gravy and fry eggs and bacon on top, goes good to fill the tummy and take the chill out of the air  both. Have a good day. It is snowing right on down here, Have about 1/4" and still at it big flakes. the grand children and greats will have fun in it. My blood is too thin so I do not any more. thanks AMY for missing me.

We were blessed with 3+ inches of new snow so you know there will be a dance this morning. Looks to be fluffy snow, easy to remove. Not sure what else is on for today as our plans were sidelined due to the snow.

Patricia, Farrah. doesn't look that amused at you taking a photo.  Love your scarves, you do have a lot of them!

Lloyd, will go look in your gallery for the photo. edited to add........just looked at your stove, that is a dandy!! Bet when all polished up it shines!! Thank you for sharing.

Good morning. I was up until four and slept in so I'm late arriving here at 9:01 AM. It's interesting being four hours behind most of you, three hours behind the midwest, and an hour behind Marilyne in California! I'm just getting started and you're halfway through. And Bubble is enjoying her mid-evening.

Amy, Farrah hates the camera because she equates it with the flash even when it's not on. I have a lot of scarves because I worked in retail and in hotels, mostly in middle management, a career I don't recommend unless you're fine with stress.

I have no plans for today but I'm sure something will come up. I hope every one of you has a good, safe, day, germfree as Jane says!

I participated in my first attempt at a Zoom Book Club meeting this morning.  It worked well and I was so glad to see faces and hear actual voices.

Have just gotten "Steak Crumbe" (accent over e so it's "Crum-bay") in the slow cooker for son's "dinner date" tonight.

Now catching my breath and maybe grabbing a bite of lunch before going to Braum's and Walgreens.

Hope Everyfriend is finding something to Enjoy today.

Hello My Friends!  Today was a mixed up day for me.  It started off with some really good news from my Maryland daughter and then went downhill.  January has always been my least favorite month and this year it's worse than ever.  I can't go anywhere because of this D - D virus and there's nobody here to talk to.  Unfortunately, talking on the phone, texting and emailing just isn't the same as talking in someone's face and having them talk back in my face.  I'm praying very hard for this virus to leave us so we can get back to socializing and a little hugging of special people!

I wish you all a peaceful night's sleep and a happy, healthy, germ-free tomorrow.  And may God bless us, every one!

Good Morning Everyfriend!  I'm up but definitely not "attem"!  Cooper came again at 5:30 a.m. and I had my alarm st for 5.  I woke up at least 5 times.  Twice was because my phone sounded like an incoming text and nothing was there.  It's been doing that every night for about a week now and none of my phone "specialists" have been around to fix it for me.  When Cooper isn't coming, I don't even take it in the bedroom and I sleep better.

I think I could manage to take a nap right now but I have to get dressed and take two doggies for walks.  They expect it and it's good for them....me too!

I have no real plans for today but I'm thinking of a quick trip to Davy's.  I was thinking of doing that yesterday too and I didn't.  I just think my "get-up-and-go" got up and went!

We're supposed to have snow 3 days in a row next week.  If it anounts to anything, we're in for IT!

I guess I better "put an egg in my boot and beat it" or the doggies might not get their walk!  I wish you all a good day...better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow!

It's a white world outside my window.  We had between 1 and 2 inches of snow.  It is the wet kind that clings to every little branch and twig.  The temp. is supposed to go up to 42 this afternoon so it won't last long.  No "dancing" here....we'll let Mother Nature clean it up.  She put it there!

Maybe a nice big pot of Potato Soup would be just the thing for dinner tonight....and a pan of hot corn bread.  Sounds good to me.

Take care, All.

Good morning from the Interior with no news, each day both newsworthy or weatherwise sounds like the day before. We are still sliding around zero, which is noteworthy because January is normally in the deep freeze.

On the plus side, I'm warm, fed, showered, and healthy, and I hope the rest of you are as well!

We got a call from our doctor tonight inviting us to go to a hospital tomorrow to get our Covid Vaccine.  We feel like we won a lottery.  So blessed to be able to go together and get this done.

I love potato soup, PHYLLIS.  Hope you enjoyed yours.

I hope everyone had a good day.

Sleep well.

Need to pick up some groceries at 7 am, the senior time to shop. Will bundle up warm as it is -6 ° at the moment.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  It's also cold here but not as cold as it is where AMY is.  Our overnight low was 17º and that's LOW for this area.  We've had temps in the single digits and below 0 but that's not usual.

JENNY, around here we have to do the calling for an appt to get the vaccine and I feel good to have got through the jammed phone lines to get an appt for 2/11.

The boinger went off and I had to go give Mickie her breakfast and then hurry back to post this before I end up losing it.

LLOYD, I hope things are working out for you with the legal stuff and that you will soon be able to relax and enjoy your family and your home!

I have an eye dr appointment later this morning and I'm going to have to get some stuff done before I go there.  I wish you all a good day....better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow.

WHERE'S SHIRLEY?

Good morning EVERYFRIEND 💐

I forgot to mention that I left a message on Shirley's home answering machine telling her we are missing her and we hope she is doing OK.  I have to admit that I am truly worried about her as she normally would never be gone over a week without checking in.  I hope and pray she is OK.

JANE, we have to call around here too to get on a site and register so that we might be contacted for the vaccine.  I waited on hold for nearly one hour on Wednesday to talk to someone only to be told that there were no appointments available this week.  We contacted our doctor early on when the vaccine came out and they told us they would not be having any of the vaccine in the office, we had to register on other sites.  That is why we were blown away when our doctor called last night.  Happy you are scheduled for yours.

I wish EVERYFRIEND a good day.....stay safe and warm.

Jenny,  I remembered that Shirley had given me her phone number when Emily was driving back and forth to KC and had planned to try and call.  Seeing that you got the answering machine worries me.  Hope one of the kids will hear your message and reply.

Beautiful day in central Oklahoma but too cold to sit on the patio.  I'll be glad when it's warm enough to do so and I can spend my afternoons reading out there.

Have just posted a recipe for Steak Crumbe that I made for Scott's/my "dinner date" this week.  It's in the "What's For Dinner" folder but I don't know how to do a link.

Looks as if some 1099's came in today's mail.  They surely are slow arriving.  Off to make a note of which ones arrived today and do some other desk work.

Hope Everyfriend has found something to Enjoy today.

they dilated my pupils at eye dr. this afternoon and I can barely see what I'm typing so please forgive the errors.  The good news is that there has been no pressure change in the past 6 months and that means no change in a year.  Hooray!  When he finished telling me what he needed to say, he asked if I had any questions.  I said, "just one.  Is it still safe for me to drive?"  He said "No problem, there!"  Just be careful"  I always am!

I might not make it back in tonight but don't worry.  I'll see you all tomorrow!

Jane, that is good news!! Now you are good to go for another 6 months.

Going to relax tonight :)

I'm here, just trying to get my head organized to talk. I tried to call Jenny back but she flew the coop.

I come in every day, check on everyone and the mind sputters and I back away. I just don't feel like playing nice yet, and since half the population voted opposite from me. I do NOT want to hurt feelings of those 50%.

I feel like I've had a death in my family and can't come out of the sadness. It is the death of democracy, of this country as I've known it. I never ever thought in my life time that we would face socialism but it is a fact that a country can't be both socialist and a democracy at the same time.

So there it is. I don't want to be on a soapbox and don't want to talk about politics and politicians. Somehow I think it's wrong to put a poor man into office and in 4-8 years he/she comes out a millionaire/billionaire. How does that happen?

And that's my story, I'm not a nice person these days.I do thank y'all for worrying about my health.... I am fighting a battle to see but can't get to even TALK to the surgeon for cataracts until March 30 & getting both eyes done & glasses made comes later & the summer is shot. Not helping my attitude.

My CDs had to roll over this month and the rates are beyond acceptable so dumped them in a money market account & will look for better interest.... one thing satisfying, if I don't make money the gov can't tax it so kind of a highlight in this mood. (That's what I'm fighting, I really don't like MY attitude-ME).

Ah, Amy, now I don't feel so bad seeing you fed that eye of round to the fur babies.
I had two slices of one that I ran through the tenderizer for minute steaks, didn't have any hamburger thawed for the cats supper so cut up a minute steak to give them. They love raw meat.

Jane, your statement about driving home with dilated eyes came at the right moment. My instructions from the eye clinic was to "have a driver because they would dilate my eyes" and I was sure I always drove myself home before this. I hated to have someone wait 2 hours (what instructions said it would take to see if I needed cataract surgery).. so thanks for the tip. I am NOT liking having to depend on someone to drive me...

I drove home into the sun and was so thankful when I made it home safe wi th no accident, or even a near miss. Now I do need a driver every time and he dilates my eyes every visit.

Lloyd, I will take your 43°...sweater weather :)

Gloria, I got in and out of the store in jig time. I avoided the crowds and picked up all that I needed. Dogs sure licked up the eye of round that was cut up and put in their food.

Good to see both Sandy and Shirley  here, now if Joy would pop in and say hello. I wonder how her son is doing??

Good Morning Everyfriend!  First and foremost....SHIRLEY, I DID NOT DRIVE MYSELF HOME AND I HOPE YOU DON'T TRY THAT!  I could not have seen anything but white blobs in front of my face and I would have been a menace on the road.  My good neighbor across the street was on call and he and his wife came to get me when I was finished.  He drove me home and she drove my car home.  I live lest than 10 minutes from the drs office so they were happy to do it.

I already hav Cooper this morning and I have to take him to the groomer at 11 this morning and then pick him up after!  Right now, Cathy is at the grocery store with my list and her own and I have orders to be on the other end of the phone for questions.

Both doggies are due for a walk but I'm hoping they'll be happy with an outing in the yard.  It's really COLD here again this morning and I really don't want to face the winter wind!

I hope you all have a good day....better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow.

Nice to "see" SHIRLEY and SANDY!  Now where's JOY and PHYLLIS!

Good morning.  It is bright and sunny but cold.  Most of the snow is gone but we will be getting ice tonight.  I'm really not happy about that.  If we have to have anything winterish I would rather have snow.  Oh, well, the fridge, freezer, and pantry are full and the heat pump is working just fine.  I got a new ebook from the library and I have lots of warm blankets so all is well here.

The one thing I'm sad about and even though I have hesitated to say anything I've decided to risk it and say it anyway.  I know that we all have differing opinions about everything.  That's what makes us so interesting.  But, it can also cause hurt feelings amongst good friends so I would hope we would all of us have the discipline to post our remarks on "sensitive" issues, especially on current politics and political figures, in the Political Forum, please.

Take care, All.

Hello Everyfriend!  AMY, I liked "Custard's Last Stand", too!

We're supposed to have snow beginning sometime tonight and lasting into Monday.  The forecast is for 12 to 24 inches!  I really hope we're in the 12 inch area.  I'm supposed to have Cooper tomorrow but if it snows much and is snowing in the morning, Frankie might not be able to go to work.

Now I think I'll just go to bed and worry about all that in the morning!  I hear the zzzzzs hollering for me from the haystack so I'm off!

I wish you all a peaceful night's sleep and a happy, healthy, germ-free tomorrow.  And may God bless us, every one!

A late HELLO to EVERYFRIEND 💐

JANE, I watched the National news tonight and they were telling about all the snow you are possibly get and I said a prayer that I sure hope it is not as bad as it looks like.

Welcome back, SHIRLEY. After reading your post I went to look for your call and sure enough, found your message.  I was getting my Covid Vaccine when you called and I had turned the ringer off on my phone and forgot to turn it back on.  I will try to call you soon, or feel free to call back when ever you have time.

Everything went perfect regarding us getting our vaccine.
When we got there Bob scoped out where we were to go and ended up having me park right out side of the door....entered, got our temp taken, walked two steps and checked in....had paperwork all filled out so it was a two minute time, walked a little way and immediately sat down for the shot...both of us at the same time, went into the room and schedule our next shot, waited our 15 minutes and we were done.  VERY WELL SET UP, everyone there was so nice, of course we are thanking them profusely.....great experience.  We really were so lucky to be able to do it this way😘. Bob has the very slightest soreness at the injection site other than that nothing.  I did not feel a thing when given the shot.  It was bleeding a bit and she push firmly on the site before putting the bandaid on.....as we were waiting I started to feel the very slightest tingling around the injection site....then it started moving down my arm ...very light tingle.....did that for a couple of hours.....and, about the same time my nose started running.  It did that off and on for the rest of the evening....when I was in my chair watching TV and after I was laying down in bed it did not do it.  Only when I was up moving around.  Now do either of these things have anything to do with it??  Who knows?

I hope EVERYFRIEND had a good day....pleasant dreams to all.

Jenny

Good Morning Everyfriend! I was here earlier and then had to leave and feed Mickie.  I'd given up on Cooper coming this morning and Mickie and I were out for our walk when I got a text saying they were on the way.

The snow was supposed to start around 6 this morning but here it is 9 and we have no snow!  However the sky is grey and low and threatening so I'm sure it's coming.

JENNY, thanks for printing your "reactions" to the vaccine.  Now, if that happens to me, I'll understand.

Gotta get started on "stuff".  I wish you all a good day...better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow.

Beautiful sunny day but cold sitting at 0° F

Patricia, Jane , he does come up with some pearls of wisdom.

Patricia, I keep forgetting to comment on the drumming bird...looks just like our Peepers who is now 27 yrs old.
Wind chill is a sneak and if your not carful you can become frostbit in no time.. I bundle up and if it is really cold out I would wear my down coat. Tried wearing that when I danced with Mr SB but it was just too hot!!

We used to have more wind chill long ago, and after the mild winter we've had, I hope it isn't making a come back. I remember wearing mini skirts in seventh grade and thinking it was okay to dash from home across an empty field to school. Of course, I ended up with frostbite, along with many other girls.

LLOYD, my grandson was just barely two and was sitting in the car seat back when we could have them in the front.  As he looked out the window, he said, "Dammit".  I didn't believe I heard right so I said "What did you say?"  He turned and looked at me and said "Dammit".  I asked him where he heard that word and he said, "Aunt Caffy say dammit."  If he had said his father said it or his uncle or any one of a number of others, I wouldn't have been shocked but Cathy didn't use swear words.  And when I was telling the story, she was laughing until I got to the end and she couldn't believe it either.  And that's the only time I ever heard him use that word.

Now I'm off to the haystack.  We have Cooper for the night since we did get considerable snow while Frankie was working.  I already had it figured out that if she made it safely home, she better not try any extra driving to pick him up so here he is.

I wish you all a peaceful night's sleep and a happy, healthy, germ-free tomorrow.  And may God bless us, every one!
