Good morning everyone..

Calling for rain here today, 39° at the moment. A day of rest today  Managed to get the dogs nails clipped yesterday so that is one job of a long list. Neighbours are going to see his Mom, she is back in the hospital again so we are looking after Rex.

Roley, thank you ,will enjoy the video while I am having my cuppa tea.

Joy, your son's place sounds perfect to me, a little piece of heaven on earth.

June, hope today you find that bounce to put into your step.

Better check on the fire.

Enjoy your day everyone..

Good morning everyone, a chilly start to a sunny day, 44° and only going into the upper 60's later. My kind of weather. When I pull up my bedroom shade in the mornings I like looking out to see what the morning in like. At this time of year I enjoy looking and the swamp Maple trees at the edge of the parking lot. They are now turning red. They start at the tip and every morning the red is a little further down the trees. Beautiful with the sun shining on them. My oldest son made a visit here yesterday with a big bag of apples. Now I will make an apple crisp and maybe applesauce, too. I enjoyed one before he left. Yummy. My DIL sent a container of tapioca pudding for me and I had some of it last night. So good. My other son will be here later this morning and I always enjoy seeing him, too.

JOY  just saw local weather and they had a camera looking over the ocean and you could see the sky getting light and some colorful clouds on the horizon where the sun will start peeking up. One of those sights when I wish I was at the shore. Hope you had a wonderful day yesterday with family and friends.

LARRY  red delicious apples ripen later than many other kind. That is the one apple I do not care for. like the golden ones though. After the Macs that ripen early and I love I enjoy Empire apples, my son said they are a cross of Macs and red delicious but the texture and tartness is more like a Mac and are good keepers. Galas are OK when first picked when ripe, they sweeten up after that and I like a tart apple. My son had no crop again this year. 4 years ago we had an infestation of gypsy moth caterpillars and they denuded all his trees, They did a lot of damage in the forests in this state, too. Some trees have come back but more than half his trees died. Big lost to him for all the work and cost of taking care of the trees for so many years. He has pulled up all the dead ones but what is left had no blooms. He has gone to a big orchard over the border in Conn. to pick apples the last few years. Just heard on local weather there is another hurricane out in the Atlantic and loo like it is headed for the southern New England coast. That means this are and Gloria de's area.

JANE  glad you had a good day at the Amish store but more so the time with your daughter.

AMY 4 cubs of what animal?  Remember we former city folks do not know how many young animals are called cubs? Bears?

JUNE  I try to get out every day, even if only to sit on the porch and enjoy fresh air. Like you I would be house/chair bound without my rollator.

PETER I will watch your link after I finish here. I have it brought p in a new window. I will watch my step, I sure do not want to fall but thanks for warning me.

AMY  no rain here today, just a beautiful day. Made better because of all the rain we have had this month.

Have a great  day.

Good Sunday morning.  The last day of September and the starting the final quarter of 2018.  Where has this year gone?????

Thank you June, for your nice comment.  I am just so happy that I am feeling so much better.  Have more energy in a long time.

Yes, my son does have a nice place.  They have worked hard at it.  They have no children, so their animals are their "Kids".  They do a nice job with this annual party. I think this was about the 30 + years that they have had it.  It was about 35 of our immediate family there.  Plus lots of their friends and people from where they work.  The little ones always have a good time.  Plus, it was a beautiful day.......  so nice not to have any rain to deal with.

I did get to the store and got a new walker.  The lady was very helpful in suggesting the one that she thought was best for me.  And, I really am comfortable with it.  Nice seat and little pouch under the seat and it rolls real smoothly with the larger wheels.  I know the PT is gong to be pleased that I have it now.  Much easier to handle than the larger one I was using.

Nothing planned for today.  Just will take it easy and try to find a good movie to watch.

Have a great day.

Hi Everyone.  Today we get our first real break in the summer weather as it is suppose to only get to 83.  Of course, this morning we have 90 percent humidity and it is cloudy.  I am ready for Church and Pat is not eating her breakfast.  As far as I know she plans on attending Church with me.  I will come home from Sunday School and get her.  There is just enough time that we get their by the beginning of the service.  We will go somewhere to have our main meal of the day and the rest of the day will be free.  I did watch  2 1/2 football games yesterday.  I only lasted the first half of the evening game.  Two of the three schools I am now rooting for won although the game was in doubt until the end for Clemson, which is a South Carolina school, until about the very end.

Jane, what fun it must be to visit the Amish store and find such good prices and bulk foods.  It is nice to get to do things with our adult children. I expect Joy will need a little additional rest today after all the fun of yesterday.  We will keep looking for the small bags of yellow corn meal.  There must not be any demand for it.

Amy, how do you suppose those cubs got into the dumpster if they couldn't get out.  I wonder if the momma was anywhere near by?

June, glad to read your day yesterday was better than Friday was for you and that you were able to replenish your reading supply and get some sunshine. I hope you can make it to Church today.  My wife commented yesterday how much she is liking the new Rollator she is now using and think it will be used inside the house and when we go out.

Roley, I did get your email this morning and have time to read it later today.  I will check out the link you posted here today as well.

Gloria, I really hate to get up and dressed before daybreak but it is still dark here at 7 am and usually want to be up by then.  I am beginning to see some red tips and leaves on a few trees around here but everything is still pretty green.  Nice to get to visit with your two sons this weekend.  My grandfather preferred yellow delicious and my wife likes them as well.  I like a very crisp apple but any apple is good.  Sorry to hear your son still have no apple crop again this year.  I haven't seen anything about a new hurricane developing but sure that will soon be a topic on the news.  I sure hope it will veer out to sea and avoid your area.

Joy, that was really a large party and I bet it is anticipated by those invited every year.  Glad you didn't have rain to deal with for the party.  Glad to see you got the new Rollator and that it has the larger wheels.  It really helps to see what we are getting and to try it out before taking it home.  Pat is feeling much more secure even walking here in the house.

Good Morning Everyfriend!  I've taken care of the doggies and I've been to church and stopped at the grocery store on the way home for my BOGOs.  They had some things that I wanted to ge before the gang gets here from Texas.  Interestingly, I texted my granddaughter to ask her if there's anything she wants me to get to have on hand for EMMA so she doesn't have to think about bringing or buying when she gets here.  She's going to do an on line shopping trip for my store and then tell me when and I'll just go pick it up.  It's amazing!  She's in OK, shopping in PA and I'll have what she needs, ready and waiting when they get here.

Now I'm going to go cook a decent dinner.  I took some tilapia out of the freezer and I'm going to bake it with some potatoes and a veggie and have an early dinner.  Enjoy your day, Everyfriend!

Good Sunday morning, sun is shining, but quite cool 47

This will be short, as I am again expecting company from up the sland. This has been a week of  company, first my DIL, then 4 neighbors came in to see her. I feel like this is my entertainment week. Handy having a pizza parlor on the corner. I just make a green salad, order pizza and open a box of fancy cookies and a bottle of wine,

Gloria, the storms have brought in very high tides. The tides on the Cap cover a foot bridge near Sagamore Bridge it goes over the marsh lands my  DIL had part of it repaired many years ago inMarks name, as he enjoyed taking the children for walk on it. He called Saturday  Family day and took them out for what he called nature walks.

A quick Sunday HELLO to EVERYFRIEND!

Not much time to post, but I did want to check in.

We have been very busy keeping up with these boys and their schedules.  We have decided that we are just too old for this much responsibility!  😍

Yesterday and today the weather has been georgious.  Very pretty out.  Makes it so much easier for the boys to be out and about and for the doggies and Bob.  Hope we have the same tomorrow.

JANE, your dinner sounds yummy.  I hope you enjoyed it.  Happy you got to shop at the Amish store.

JOY, happy to read you got a new walker.  What brand is it?  I am seeing more and more of mine out there in the world these days.

GLORIA, I am so sorry to hear that your son does not have a Apple crop again this year.  I sure was hopefull we could find a time we could get down to see you while we are here so close, but the schedules are such there just is not enough time to get there and get back before another committed time.  I sure wish we could have.

AMY, I, too, love pearl tapioca......the instant one is just not as good and that is all I can ever find these days.  Sounds like you are fixed for quite some time.

I hear my name being called.

Have a wonderful evening.

Jenny

Just ordered a lite supper to be sent up. The day started out great, all ready to go to Church, walked down the hall, felt so weak and dizzy....like  I was going to pass out. Sat down on my cart, and rode it backwards to my room. lay down and slept for about three hours. So.....another day spent at home. I'm  finding the body rules me, rather than me being in charge. So be it. God is in charge and I will obey.

Weather here was sunny and mild..82/65. Still hoping for rain.

I pray you all have a good  night and a happy  tomorrow. June
As long as we are here, let's dance.

JaneS

As soon as I check a couple things on line, I'm off to Dreamland.  Tomorrow is my last evening to work and them I'm back to all mornings.

I wish you all a Good Night, a good sleep and a good tomorrow.  May God bless us, every one!
