Good morning.  The newly designed site will take some getting used to.  I just wrote a message over in the Soda Shoppe and now will see if I can change what I am writing here.  I did not like the size of he print, so will see if I can change it here.

It is a pretty sunny morning, after our snowy day yesterday. I think my area received about 4 in.   Sure hope it isn't a sign of what is ahead of us for the winter.  Way too early for a snowstorm here.  And, I heard on the news, that this particular storm was almost as bad as ones we can get in the dead of winter.  It caught everyone by surprise.

But, supposed to be nice sunny days all the way through Thanksgiving day. So hope that prediction holds true.

I need to get some breakfast, so will just wish everyone a great day.

I had changed the size, but don't think it worked.  Will try again.

We don't use skype...  I am lucky to have
most of my family within a few minutes
of me here in Portland Maine.

Fi is a very good natured two year old who
has blossomed in the last few months  and now
is a chatterbox..    Funny how they pick up speech...
like over night... it seems!

I didn't mean to post here in your holiday section....
just got lost a bit with the new changes ...

I think that this is going to be fun!!!

Oh, I wrote something, then went elsewhere to double check and lost the whole thing.  It wasn't anything important, but I won't be able to do that again.  I had been able to do it before, but it's not a problem.

I'm glad Bubble was successful in posting my picture.  I've never taken the time to learn, but I read it is really quite simple now, so some day I'll try.  I am not sure where I am now because I started out in Norm's B&T and I may be in Birthdays etc now.

We do not seem to have had much, if any, snow overnight and radar shows none to our west for a while.  Good, because I might be able to go for the mail this afternoon.

Sandy, that is a darling picture of Fe (Fi?) and it's hard to imagine she is nearly two.  Three of our toddlers will be two after the first of the year and the other will be three in January.  As everyone says, they grow up so quick.

Thanks to Bubble for posting the picture.  Somewhere I posted something where the Bold, Color and Font Size all registered.  Whew!  I'll try it here to make sure I did it right.

Larry, I knew what you meant, but it was so "cute" in the copy for you to say "I was good".

Usually I have not had to host big meals, but I do remember one Easter or Thanksgiving where there were 16 of us.  I think I had a couple of card tables spread out as well as the dining room table with two leaves.  I have fixed the turkey many times and would if necessary now, especially since I have Tom here to take it from the oven.  But as long as we go elsewhere, I am happy to pay for the turkey and let others do the honors.  I like my dressing but let others fix their favorites.  At least eating with family should allow us to bring some slices home with us.  I do like turkey or chicken sandwiches.

Fe was two in April  !!
So she is really getting up there!!!

I thought I wrote the above in Norm's B&T but I guess I did not.  At least I have found out how to register Bold, Font size and Color.  There's more to learn, but I'll have to have patience and practice.

Maybe kids grow up fast, but elders grow old fast too.  Both groups have much to learn, especially on computers!

MaryAnn, so nice to have a current photo of you and Dot and also to "meet" Tom!

Sandy, Fe is very cute and to me, looks like her father.

Mary Ann, you forgot one person :) Don't you recognize?

Bubble, I'm sorry, I didn't even notice Don standing there.  I guess I thought it was a more recent picture, after he had returned to Canada.  I'm sorry, Don, I would not have slighted you on purpose.

Gloria De - thanks for the compliment.  There are days I really feel 94, but on the whole, I feel good.  Maybe not younger than Springtime, but I feel OK.  At our age, we're entitled to feel any way we want.

Bubble does a wonderful job with her creations in this folder.  I'm not creative so it is a pleasure to see someone else's work.
