FROM SHARON:

I still can't get in and don't have much time to mess with it, so if you don't mind please post my notes. I can at least get in to read them.

60 and sunny today. To be 70's by weekend.

I finished trying on all my dresses this AM to see which ones to donate. A lot of nice oness. Also, lots of belts, but my master closet is all clean and organized now.

We had our groceries ready for curb pickup yesterday, so no bugs.

We went to the car dealershii[ tjos aftermoon to pick up the check for my car that we sold last week. Hate giving it up. I really like it better than John's newer one.  Both  Avalons.

The inspector had lots of things that we need to do, so will have to find a guy to do them.

I sent in the lease for the apt yesterday and the closing info to the lawyer today.

So much stuff to do.  Jeanne, how good of you to take foord to your neighbor. I know she appreciates it.  We were doing a lot of that for our SS teacher before his wife died, but now, one of the other SS members who shops all the time is getting his groceries for him.

I can't think of anything important to add now.  Hi to everyone. I will try to get back in after ethis move is over..  Marilyn, big hugs to you. I know you have a lot on your plate.  I still think you need to talk to the boys and get some help from them.  Stay healthy everyone.  Sharon

Stay safe. Sharon

jane

Bubble, that's what I told her, and it looks as if she's now gotten in.

Glad you got the login figured out and are back in.  What you're doing doesn't sound like fun.

Do you have a date you can get in to your new place?

SNOW here this morning, but it's all gone now and the temps are rising.

jane

JeanneP

I managed to get back in by giving a new password. Only problem still is have to sign in every time.

Sharon. At least you are being kept busy doing something different.

I am getting bored doing same thing.  I am use to leavin my house most days. Really miss the library. Down town cinema.

Waiting to see a photo of your new place. Will you be able to have same house cleaners. Or does that come in the lease?

Good morning, Every Buddy.  Tim was over earlier to go over some paper work with me. After he went home I finally got dressed and am going out soon for a walk in my neighborhood. Yesterday when I walked I caught up with a young girl who lives in my neighborhood.  She was walking the family dog and we had a nice chat.

Not much else going on here today.  Tim and Bill have both brought books or in Bill's case have sent some by mail.  I do enjoy reading and both have chosen some books written by authors I like.

I hope Every Buddy is feeling well and is able to get outside in some sunshine.  I'm planning a walk down the hill shortly.  Have a nice day, Every Buddy.

Sue

maryz

Sharon, looks like you are well on your way. Hooray! When is your move-in date?

Jeanne, sorry you're not able to do much. Maybe just a drive around the area would help.

jane, sorry about your snow - glad it's melting right away.

Sue, it's good that you're getting out to walk and getting some books, too.

Well, I finally have my new apartment. It'll probably be a week or so before I get moved in, but I'm very happy with it. Just saw it this morning, and it's really good. Great windows and just grass and crepe myrtles outside, a huge closet, good shower, and plenty of room.  Jesse has gone back to work,  which is wonderful, so has to schedule when he can help. And Matt's wife is due to deliver any day now, so obviously, he's not available.  Probably, at first, I'll just move what I have already, and worry about the rest of it when all the quarantine stuff is over.  I've been told that I can get some folks in to move me before the end of the quarantine, so that's good. In any case, I'm excited!

I ventured out to the grocery store this morning even though it isn't a senior's day .  I was sure surprised  by the total bill , $96 !!  But I had a $5 off coupon for purchase over $50 .  It seems we ran out of every thing !

maryz

I didn't know how prescient I was yesterday when I wrote "Matt's wife is due to deliver any day now". They had their lovely baby boy yesterday - my first great-grandbaby. I have none of the details yet, except his name, and don't know when I'll get to actually see him, but he's here!

Mary...hurrah on new baby to the family!

Alpiner...I am finding bigger grocery bill, too...also over $100...and buying a couple of things I use a lot of so I don't have to go back to store as often.

I have been buying Organic ultrapastureized milk that lasts at least twice as long as other. Current 1/2 gal has date of May 26 on container.  More expensive, but I'm not throwing a lot away anymore and I don't need to make so many grocery trips.

Darlene...good to see you posting!

Sue...I hope to join you in walking now that it is finally warming up here this weekend and into next week.

Jeanne...I take a drive out around county roads when I get cabin fever...and it's good for the car to go a bit more than quick intown trips, I think.

Our schools are now officially closed for the year.  However, they can resume before Aug. 23, so it will be interesting to see what date most will reopen.

Sharon is probably busy packing.

Good morning, Every Buddy.  I've had breakfast, read the paper, and cleaned up the kitchen.  I have new to me books that Tim and Bill have sent me, so I'll spend most of the afternoon reading.  However I want to get out for my morning walk pretty soon.  It's going to be much warmer here today according to my weather man.  My neighbor hood is hilly and going down is OK, but coming back up is tough!

I hope every Buddy is OK--I'm feeling well, just lonely as no neighbors dropping in as every one seems to be staying home.  Tim came by yesterday to go over some paper work with me and I think will go to Kroger for me on Friday or Saturday.  He's OK with me walking outside, but wants me to stay away from other walkers.

Not much else going on here.  I'm dressed for outside so will go get my walk in before it gets too hot.  Last night's weather man said it will be much warmer today.

Have a good day, Every Buddy and stay well!

jane, even when John was alive, I always wound up throwing milk away. I found out milk would freeze. So I got some quart-sized plastic bottles, bought a gallon of milk, and then decanted it into the quart bottles for the freezer. That way, I only got out a quart at a time, and always had some to spare. Just an idea, but it worked great for me.

GOOD Idea, Mary.  I didn't know it could be frozen, either.  Your new apt sounds PERFECT!! I'm so glad you passed on the window to a wall and now have something nice to look out on.

Sue...with all the virus in your area, I think you're wise to stay away from others and yet get your walk in.

Darlene...HURRAH! Finally got the login problem solved.  Good for you.

Sue...I think Darlene, Jeanne, Mary, and I share your boredom at being alone.  I miss my Raymond and someone to talk to, but I'm so glad he's not stuck in a nursing home or hospital where I couldn't get to him.  He would have hated that as much as I would have.

I found something on YouTube this morning I want to share with the nonsewers amongst us...ME included bigtime.

Mask easy to do with a teeshirt sleeve and a pair of scissors!

Easy and no elastic to hurt ears.  One woman left string long to treat back of head.

It's beautiful here today, and I'm going to get a walk in when I finish here.

Jane. found it. I must have goofed up on a posting.
I am without a currents driving Lic as of last weeks birthday. Have to take a road driving test so can't do it on line. I will just drive as I don't go out of my area these days. Never had a accident in life and Insurance paid up. They should just let it go until next year or to Oct. when can then take for 2001. Be a crazy place when they open up.

Beautiful day here, but weather pressure is killing my joints.  I'm sitting 8n my recliner with a cup of tea and my heating pad.  I have another hour to go before I can take another 1000 mg of Tylenol.  I may dig out my DVD player and was more of Northern Exposure, the old tv show. Niece got me season one and just sent me Season 2.

Take care to stay safe and healthy,

Jane

Thanks Jane. It worked, and would be much more comfy than the bandanna one I made.

JeanneP

Now I made 2 mask but bandana kept falling Dow. I had some of the masks that use when painting. Round kind but hurt my face. Now don't laugh but I have som small little pads that I use for a little incontinance about 6 inch .get a dollar tree. I put one inside a mask and lines it perfect. Much more comfy and can't be seen. o.k laugh now.
Nice here today but somehow I put my back out Friday and like Jane in my chair with couple Tyanol. Do not work to good for me. .

A late good morning, Jeanne, and Every Buddy looking in.  My computer was updating some files and took it's good old time doing that.  I hope Every Buddy is well, taking care when walking outside, and avoiding other folks if it seems necessary!

If it doesn't rain shortly, I plan to put a bandanna over my nose and mouth and get outside to walk.  Yesterday I came upon a little girl (about 10 y.o.) who lives a few doors away from me.  She was walking the family dog.  We had a nice chat and she had no visible symptoms of a cold or fever.

So far I have plenty of toilet paper out in my garage/utility room, so I'm not worried about that.  My biggest worry is being exposed to people with Caronna (spelling?) virus.  Our local hospital has had a number of cases and some have died there.

I'm hoping all you Buddies are able to stay away from people who may be infected.  Take care and keep us posted!

Sue

Good almost afternoon. It is a beautiful day here. Our county still has only 1 case of the virus.

Yesterday a friend and I took our dogs out to Empire lakes to hike the trails. People were fishing and some walking as well. I was also blessed yesterday with a case of radishes. I have  given  them all away and kept some I discovered that you can also cook and eat the leaves. I found a recipe online , well several, The pesto recipe looked good and so did another where the radishes are roasted and the leaves sauteed then all mixed together.

Well time to fold another load of laundry and fix lunch beore I go out to deliver more radishes,

SCFSue

Good morning, Every Buddy.  We had a big thunderstorm last night which I thought might take my roof off!  Fortunately all seems to be well this morning.  I've been outside to see if any shingles are loose, but no damage that I can see.

It is bright and sunny outside and I've had breakfast, so I'm going to walk soon.  After that I'm going to trim my hair (I really need a haircut) and shower.  I hope Every Buddy is feeling well and is able to get outside for a while.

Have a good day, Every Buddy.
Sue

jane

Good Monday morning, Buddies!
Sue...glad your roof is ok after that huge storm.

Jeanne...if the pads work, use them! It keeps you safe, so no laughing here.

Marilyn...a case of radishes is a LOT of radishes.  Good thing you have people to give them to.

I haven't done much...answered a nice text from a Texas friend who lives in Wisconsin.  He and Ray used to golf together a lot in Tx.

Lots of anhydrous ammonia tanks being pulled through town.  Guess the farmers are getting ready to plant, once the ammonia is in the ground.

Nothing exciting here...schools closed for the rest of this school year...no prom...no graduation...no awards ceremony, etc.  I don't know if they're hoping for summer school or have an early start to next school year.  Nobody can really plan for anything.  Governor hasn't said what the future brings for us in May.  But, virus numbers and deaths increase every day of her tv updates.

Take care and stay safe and healthy!

Even the meteorologists on our tv are broadcasting from home.

Well, Buddies, I'm moved! (into the larger apartment). They came in this morning and said the staff here was going to move me. Another facility owned by this company was badly damaged in the tornado that hit Chattanooga on Easter Sunday night, and all the residents had to be moved. They were moving them to other Morning Pointe facilities in the area, and at least one was coming here. Since I was moving anyway, they needed my studio room. About 6 of the staff got me moved in about an hour - and I've been trying to get stuff found and organized since. Margaret and Jesse will bring some of my other stuff from the storage unit on Wednesday. I have a new double bed ordered and it's going to be delivered on 1 May. All amazing - didn't even have time to worry about anything. And now I guess I'm more-or-less permanently settled. Whew!
