HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PATRICIA!

HOPE YOU HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY!!

maryz

Happy Birthday, Patricia!  :hb2:

Long drive, but uneventful. We managed to get me up the stairs with minimal effort. And I don't have to go up or down again.  All are well, and loud, and we love being together.

Thank you so much, MaryPage and MaryZ! It may rain outside, but you've put sunshine in my heart. Thank you!

AND CONGRATULATIONS to Patricia for her Birthday.  :hb3:  :hb2:

Maryz...glad you're at the beach and comfortable in your house with all the hoopla, etc.  That's what the beach is all about.

Hi, MaryPage and Darlene and other looking in!!

Lovely weekend for me, though a sad one, too.  3rd anniversary of losing Ray.
The "kids, nephew and niece" came to be with me from Wisc. and they were such a help in helping gimpy me navigate around.  They got me groceries, prepared the meals, did my laundry, worked on cleaning Ray's shop some more, etc.  SUCH a wonderful help.

My colorful ankle/foot is slowly healing...swelling going down and I can get around much easier.

Take care and stay safe and and healthy, Buddies!

This week is to be brutal heat wise,

jane

MaryPage

Hi Jane.  Glad your foot is healing up nicely.

jane

Thanks, MaryPage for the foot healing, and Bubble for a new game.

Marilyn

Happy Birthday Patricia!!

Keith's middle son, his girlfriend and 3yr old son wr were here from Vancouver WA for two days. They stayed at the motel to sleep but the rest of the time were here. I put some photos on FB.

Hi All.
Bet I am long forgotten. I just cannot get the system working for me. Finely did get in but same problems. It just all comes up to date of April 2016. Want to think that a new system was started back then.
Going to see what comes of this posting..Maybe Jane will EMail me.

Hi Jeanne...good to see your post..hope all is well with you

patricia19

If anyone has Jeanne's email, I could attempt to work with her issues. She doesn't have one listed onsite.

MaryPage

Wish I could help, but I am not savvy about things technical.  I was gone for 4 full years, and had no trouble getting back and settled in here.  Some small details had changed, but I was able to learn how to navigate those minor matters.  Hoping it will work out as well for Jeanne.

Patricia...I'll send your email to Jeanne and she can contact you, OK?

Marilyn...glad #2 son got down to visit.  Did K know him?

Darlene...stay cool!

Jeanne...good to see you back.  I'll send you Patricia's email and maybe she can sort out your problem.

MaryPage...stay safe and cool and healthy.

I have to go back to hospital today....I do have a broken bone in my ankle, so some sort of "boot" today and back tomorrow for an orthopedic appt.

My fridge that stopped cooling after the big storm yesterday seems to have reset it self and it's all cool and working well and at the temps it's supposed to be.

WHEW!  I did not want to go refrigerator shopping on this broken ankle thing.

Take care, ALL

jane

maryz

Oh, jane! So sorry about your ankle. That's NO fun at all!

Things going well here at the beach. If you want to see where we are, look at Google maps for "Fort Morgan Alamama". We're just east of the mouth of Mobile Bay. Some rain every day, but nothing too bad.

patricia19

Jane, thanks. Someone sent me her email; I put my name in the subject line and said I'd like to help. Your note might let her know who I am.

Cottoncandy

Healing prayers Jane...sure that's painful...take care

jane

Good Morning, Lovely Friends!

I am off to the Hospital Speciality Clinic to see some sort of ortho.

The air cast brace/boot is a bother, but I'm learning to navigate with this thing around my ankle and foot.

My fridge is holding at the right temps!  Whew.  I didn't need to go fridge shopping with my clunking boot on.

Mary....enjoy Fort Morgan!

Patricia...glad you're willing to help Jeanne.  I did let her know and sent her your email.

Darlene...stay cool and safe.

Time to haul this body up and get to the car with this ugly foot accessory.   ;D

maryz

jane, I found the hardest part of the boot was finding a shoe for the other foot that was high enough so I didn't limp too much.  Good luck!

jane

Mary...yes!  PTA seemed to think the Ecco sandel I was wearing would do the job.

Just one &^%$ thing after another this summer!  At least I don't have to worry about going back to work.  I can't get slacks or capris over this industrial size boot...so clothing options are shorts...and shorts...or a dress/skirt of which I have limited numbers.   ;D

Good morning...jumping (well, sitting here) to say a quick hello between storms.  Lost power overnight again, so it is truly August here in the upper Midwest.

Take care and stay safe,

jane

maryz

Got home about 6 pm yesterday. Recuperating, with two naps today.  Wonderful week with family but always good to get home.

Hi Gals,I will see if I can type well enough to post. I never can predict how my left hand will do.

Jane, I'm so sorry to hear about your broken ankle. I do hope it heals quickly. Lots of thunderstorms here too. We just finished one.

Melanie had her 2nd infusion this weekend. So I won't know if the side effects are the same or not. Still no pain! Whoopee! CT scan in a couple weeks to evaluate the efficacy of the chemo. Anxious to hear that.

I'm having the usual pain, but nothing different. I am trying to get over to the clubhouse as often as possible to ride the stationary bike.

We had some sad news today at church--our pastor is retiring as of today due to health problems of both him and his wife. He was very caring, so we will miss him. However, we now need to find a new pastor. I emailed our former pastor to see if she had any ideas.

My newsroom is Kaput! There was a major leak in there and they have ripped up the carpet and moved things into the opposite corner and no one seems to know when it will all be fixed so I can get back in. One of our directors is trying to find me a different place to set up, but so far haven't. It's been over a week now and I can't start the new issue till I get my ccomputer back.

Mary, it sounds like you're having a fun time as usual at the beach. Eat lots of seafood and think of me!

Jeanne, good to see you back here again. Hope you get the connection fixed.

Marilyn, I saw your family pics on FB. Nice. I'm glad his sons are keeping in touch.

Darlene, I'm glad your son is tolerating his chemo too. Hope it's working.

Patricia, a belated Happy Birthday to you. Sorry I didn't know about it on the day.

I'm ready to put on my gown and stretch out on the couch to read. Have a nice evening, everyone.   Sharon

Hi everyone....just checking in...still hot and so dry..Sharon hope Melanie CT scan is. Good...my son Johnny has that done in Oct...I have had family here for 4 days....we had a great time together..Jane hopeyourbroken bone is healing...Mary sounds like you had a fun beach trip...Hi to Jeanne...Marilyn and others looking in....have a safe awesome. Week

jane

Hi, Lovelies!

Sharon...always keeping Melanie in our LIGHT!

Darlene...you son also in our LIGHT!

Most of us have been through it ourselves or have had close family who have, so we know first hand the anxiety for families with children fighting cancer.

Mary...hurrah for a good beach vacation and good to be home, too.

My sister and BIL have been a huge help to me these few days.  They'll be headed home tomorrow.  I took them out to lunch today since my Sis has been preparing my meals.  I'm very spoiled now.   ;)

It's looking like I will need to buy a new refrigerator.  The temps go up to 60 and the freezer to 40, etc. so I'm tired to dealing with it.  I haven't heard from neighbor's brother as he said he'd call Monday.  Once I get rested up from this visit, I'll go out locally and see what I can find available.

Take care and stay healthy,

jane

maryz

Good wishes to all our loved ones dealing with cancer!

jane, I'd hate the thought of buying a new appliance.  Yuck! And good luck!

Nothing, it seems, is without drama. Our dear friend from Delaware who spent the week at the beach with us texted me last night to tell me he had Covid. He did fly home on Saturday, but I don't know that he would show up positive that quickly. In any case, all our folks have been notified and I'm being tested here daily for 5 days (but I don't have to quarantine). Oh, well. We'll see what happens.

jane

Mary...this seems to be the summer for drama for several of us!  Hope you avoid Covid, again.

My sister and husband left at 4:30 am for the long drive back to Ohio.
It's a nice day and no rain, so they should have a decent trip.  The big traffic areas are Indianapolis, IN and Columbus, OH.  I really appreciate their help while they were here.

Take care and stay healthy, Lovelies!

Morning, Buddies.  I had great plans for today...but pfffff...out the door they went.  Laundry is the only thing getting done.  The up and down to the basement is all the exercise I can take today.

We're to have rain today and tomorrow, so that'll be a change.

Off to change the laundry to the dryer and get some food from the downstairs refrig for lunch.

Stay safe and healthy,

jane
