Hi, Darlene!  It's so dang hot here, too, and to continue now into the weekend.  Just in time for school to start here!  The weather goddess must know when school starts everywhere and plans to remind everyone it is AUGUST and that = HOT and HUMID.

Does anyone else have trouble keeping up with their password changes?  My original notebook with these words is a MESS!  So, I'm going to try something else.  I have a small notebook that I'm going to transfer my words to and hope I can keep it current...and small enough to keep with me when I travel. :-\  :uglystupid2:

That's the plan for this afternoon.  My grocery shopping was done on Tues., my laundry yesterday and put away this morning, and my checkbook updated to match the bank....so passwords is today's "job."

Take care and stay safe and healthy,

jane

I keep a small palm sized notebook by my computer, next to a bottle of whiteout. I also keep scraps of paper coded in my wallet when I go where they're needed and destroyed upon my return.

Hi Gals. Well, I got the pacemaker 10 days ago and had a recheck yesterday. They say everything looks good, but I can't tell anything is different. I have to keep my left arm below shoulder level and not lift anything heavy. All of which is a pain in the neck.

Melanie is still in a lot of pain. Lori has seen both her oncologist, surgeon, and plastic surgeon. They say she is stage 1 and if they don't find any cancer cells in her sentinel nodes, she won't need chemo or radiation, just an oral med. She is going to go ahead and have a mastectomy and reconstruction though. Her surgery is 9/19. Her son is getting married in Banff, Canada the 17 and she wanted to have her surgery after that.

Weather-wise we've had hot, humid, rainy weather this month, although it is down in the 80's with humidity predicted to fall this week.  However, I'm seldom outside, so it doesn't affect me much.

No other news here. Take care of yourselves.  Sherry

Sherry...so sorry to hear your Melanie is in pain.  I hope the docs can find something to relieve that.  My darline nieces were also Melanie and Lori.  We lost Melanie to brain cancer in 2009, but Lori continues well.  [She just "celebrated" 40 years on the job at her hospital as an RN.  After working in a variety of jobs there, she finally has a decent shift and is Charge Nurse on the orthopedic recovery room so she has basically the same hours at the Ortho docs...but only has to report to the anesthesia docs.  So...holidays are hers as are nights and weekends.]Your Lori also had as good a diagnosis on breast cancer as one can get...a Stage 1.

My own second battle with cancer appears to be in remission.  The last test came through as negative!  So, no more tests or treatments until another cystoscopy in February.

we're having a wonderful respite from the horrible temps and humidity.  The pollen count is high as my nose and eyes will attest! :tickedoff:

For me, I follow the meterological seasons...meaning fall starts Sept. 1!

My hot water wasn't appearing in my kitchen sink so I called the people we've dealt with since we bought this old house...and he appeared 5 hours later...and got it working...rust in the old line, he said.  HURRAH for a quick visit.  My sisters-in-law in the Chicago suburbs would wait a week or two for a visit.  Hurrah for small town service.   :D

Football is big here ...first games for high schools this night.  It should be a pleasant night for the parents, grands, and others.

Take care and stay healthy and safe!

Jane
