Domestic Goddess: Is this correct, if one would like to post/share a recipe, we do so here?  If so, was searching to see if there were separate recipe categories?

Thank you, Patricia.  I am just very old and very tired.  I sleep a lot.  But scheesch!  I'll be 95 in May, if I make it that far.  One of the energy drainers is that several of my family members are having difficulties.  All is quite normal, though, and I welcome and thank you for your sweet remembrances.  It boosts me up considerably.  Blessings on you, with my love.  MaryPage

diglady

Thank you for contacting Mary Page and letting me hear she is ok. I just turned 88 on Monday and know what she means about--tired!

jane

THANKS, Diglady and Patricia for asking about and contacting MP.

Yesterday was not a particularly good day at the urology clinic.  I had a nurse and with her a student nurse...and student nurse couldn't get the catheter I needed for the treatment in properly.  FINALLY, she got it and I got the full dose this time.  I was miserable by the time the 2 hours were up.  Happily, my favorite nurse, Paige,  came to my rescue and got everything drained out before I exploded...or it felt that way ;)  ::)

It rained all day yesterday, but we needed it...and more.  Today is bright and sunny and the lilac bush has tiny buds and the crocus have appeared.  Newspaper says we had the warmest winter in the records, I guess.

Lots of influenza A around here, so take care it doesn't catch you!!

Hi Gals, I'm still here, just busy much of the time. I tried to do my finger punch for coumadin this AM and failed miserably. I've called the trainer to talk to her again and see why it isn't working. Other than that no news.

Jane, I'm sorry you had such a difficult session yesterday. I hope you are resting up today.  The spring buds and flowers raise one's spirits. The trees across from us are in full white bloom. Not sure what they are, but pretty. Daffodils our in lots of places and the birds are nesting/breeding. I'll have to put up my hummer feeder before too long.

Sorry that MP is not feeling well, but still up to a nice note.

I hope that everyone is over their respiratory ailments. I've been lucky so far and haven't gotten any. John had a bad bout a couple months ago, but I didn't catch it, thank goodness. Our weather has been a rollercoaster too. It's 53 right now and  supposed to be in the low 70's all the rest of the week.  Mary, I think we have almost identical weather.

Well, take care everyone and I'll try to remember to check in more often.

Hi everyone..figured I better check in..I went grocery shopping today...taking advantage of summer temps...80 here today...not ready for those temps..Jane how long do you need to do the treatments...praying for you..Sharon you are lucky to not get the respiratory bug going around..I was sick a week with it..or flu...left me weak for a few days...hope everyone is doing ok...stay safe and well...I'm not too far from the border...so keep my doors locked most of the time...take care

Yesterday I had the last of the chemotherapy for this session. My favorite nurse, Paige, was unexpectedly there as was Dr. Ferroni.  They had to cancel their outreach to the hospital here in town because the other docs were off and Dr. Ferroni was on call and couldn't be an hour's drive away. So, good luck for me.  I'm glad to have 6 weeks or so off now and can heal  again.

I"m tired and have nothing on my calendar for this week.  HURRAH!

Things are budding out here and daffodils are pushing up.

Niece Patricia has covid again.  Lots of it around, I guess.

Take care and stay healthy,

jane

jane, glad you get some "rest" time, and are doing well. Hope this next cold snap (tomorrow here) doesn't hit you too hard. But it's only supposed to be a couple of days.

Darlene, I well remember how hot it gets in Texas and for how long. Glad you're better, too.

Sharon, I hope you get the INR stick conquered. I must admit I screwed up a few times, but I've been doing okay lately.  I generally do mine every other week (upcoming in a couple of days), and the numbers have stayed stable.

If you're east of me, it's gonna get really cold for a day, but then back in the 69s. Near freezing tomorrow morning, and then in the 20s Tuesday morning.  Back to the 60s on Thursday. Ahhhh, Spring!!

Good afternoon, Babes!
I hope none of you got into too much green beer yesterday and need to recover today. :2funny:  :smitten:

No, not me, either! ;D  8)  :2funny:

I'm not doing much...eating up stuff in my fridge and hoping I don't have to get out to the grocery soon.

I really need to reorganize one of my dresser drawers...but that's not happening today...maybe later
this week.   ::)

Take care and stay safe,

jane

I tried to « e sign » my taxes, but no luck, so I drove down to the office here in town.  Job done and came home.

Now have snow flurries and wind.

Tomorrow I need to drive to CR.  Weather supposed to be better.

 Nothing exciting here.

Jane

After several years my husband did our taxes online with Turbo Tax .  The last time he used it was when he clicked on a key & all he had entered was erased !   We now have it done locally .

Happy Easter friends...I went to church big crowd..good sermon..hope all is well and may the month of April be good to us....

Cold, rainy day here.

My friend and neighbor,Kathy, died last night at the hospital.  Her suffering from a massive brain bleed ( the doctors' words) is over.

Stay safe and healthy,
Jane

SharonE

Jane, I'm sorry for your loss of a good friend. I hope you're feeling better now.  Spring weather has really been unpredictable this year. Up & down constantly.

News about Marilyn--She fell and broke her wrist and a bone in her arm. She has had enough on her plate without that.

Mary, I conquered the coumadin stick and am in normal range last time. I have to do it tomorrow again.

Remember how I said I had avoided all the respiratory stuff--Well guess what, I came down  with acute pneumonia on Palm Sunday, couldn't breathe either, was taken to ER by ambulance and admitted for a week. Heart wasn't doing well so they've changed all my heart meds and am taking the max dose now. I got home the day before Easter and have finally stopped coughing and feel better, but still really tired. I've been driving to the clubhouse instead of walking the long hallways there. Just too much for me right now.

I'm going in and fill the hummer feeder  for John to put out. Supposedly,
some people have seen them already.

Take care, everyone.

Sharon sorry to hear you been sick and in the hospital..hope you feel better each day..Is Marlyin the one that used to post..haven't seen her post in long time..yes the hummers are here..I see several every day..Hi to all looking in...stay safe and healthy

Just a short note..the eclipse came over us today..wow what an expiernce..want be around for the next one..it got dark as midnight and 10 degrees cooler...awesome..only lasted 4 minutes..but at least I didn't have to leave my home to see it...lots of people from many states traveled here to see it.....Me..I wouldn't do that...have a good day buddies

maryz

I got to see the eclipse, too.  It wasn't "total" here, but almost. The sun was just down to a sliver. Just as it was moving off, the clouds came in. It is a great experience, too.
I was fortunate to have seen the total eclipse in 2017 - so twice in my lifetime.

Hi Gals, I saw the eclipse on TV. It wasn't total here and there weren't enough glasses to go around.

I spent yesterday in the ER with a UTI and diarrhea. Had to wait 7 hours to see the dr.after initial tests and evaluation. Was fit to be tied. Anyway, on meds now. We'll see how it goes.  Am off to see the cARDIO in a few minutes for a recheck. My coumdadin level was way low today too. I swear enough is enough.

Quote from Marilyn Fisher today on FB: "Well here's a picture of my arm I put the cast on yesterday. And I have doctor's orders not to push Keith in the wheelchair. Or not to get it wet because if I get it wet I have to immediately go back and have them remove the cast and recast it. This is follow up from the other post where I told everyone that I fell down have a wonderful day I'm blessed"

Nothing else going on except that hummers are visiting now.

Sharon...Good grief, Girl! You need to stay healthy.

Alpiner...I refused to do our taxes many years ago.  When my husband was working, there were too many items to consider...and I still continue to let somebody else (a CPA) do them.  I have had somebody here in town for the last couple of years, so that's a relief.

CottonCandy and Maryz....No eclipse watching here...we were out of "the zone" for it. I laughed when I saw the Arkansas governor ordered a 3 day emergency for the eclipse.  For 4 minutes?

Sorry to hear of Marilyn's accident and that Keith is now in a wheelchair.

I also hope MaryPage is doing better.

This is a "busy" week for me coming up...well, for an old lady.  Tues. I see my surgeon in Dubuque  for a followup on last week's mammo....all's ok since they didnt call me for more pics...but he also does a physical exam.  Wed. I go to CR for a rheumatology appt and blood work....[honestly, I'll bet it's a waste of time.] ::)   Thurs. I have some banking stuff to take care of...and Friday a haircut!   Then two weeks with NO appts!!  :smiley6600:

No hummers here yet, but I better get their feeder cleaned out and ready.

Stay safe and healthy,

jane
