"HEIRLOOM/KEEPSAKE APPAREL AND JEWELRY"
Details: - From Lynn: "If you have an heirloom, keepsake, or unusual piece of apparel such as gloves, dresses, jewelry, shoes, hats, etc. that have a special meaning to you, let us see them. Please post a short story of the origin and what it means to you."
- Use the attachment feature to show your photos in your post or link to them from your gallery or an offsite location that allows linking using the image codes. If you have trouble, please contact a moderator (name in blue) or an administrator (name in red) and we'll help you post your photo. If you have your photo in your gallery, please don't use the attachment feature as that puts the photo on our server twice but rather link to it.
- Please upload up to 4 entries per member for this challenge.
- If you possibly can, please tell us the camera you used to take your photo and when you took it. But if you don't know, please post the picture anyway. We want to see your photos. :) Please only enter photos taken by you.
- The challenge is open now and will be locked to uploads on Thursday, January 19, 2017 and then we'll vote on them.
- Please put a title in your post for your photos. We need the title for the poll.
- Please post only one entry per post/message.
- Of course, we're going to see who is posting the photos so this is not an anonymous challenge. So start posting. Click on the "Reply" button below and start this challenge!
Remember, this is a fun project!
Thanks to Lynn for suggesting this topic. He was the winner of our last Challenge entitled "CLOCKS". Thanks Lynn!

This was made for my husband's great grandparent's Golden Anniversary in the early 1900's . The frame has gold gilding along the edge of the frame . In the center are two gold framed tin type pictures that were taken on their wedding day . The pictures are surrounded by dried thistles & flowers made from seeds .

My father gave this to my mother to celebrate my birth. :)
Grandmother Watch

My paternal grandmother's watch, a Waltham (I think) sometime before 1910. It still runs and keeps perfect time when it's wound.

Floral Tapestry

I saw this picture at home of an Aunt in 1932 and eventually it was passed down to me, so know it is at least 85 years old.

1. Victorian Shadow Box
2. Crystal Necklace (my Grandmother had one just like this which she wore to Eastern Star meetings. And special days at church)
3. Fostoria stemware (my Grandmother taught the I.E. Handley Bible Class for Ladies at her church more than 50 years. Class members each year gave her a piece of Fostoria stemware (not this pattern) until she had a complete set and then many years afterwards gave her a piece of China, then after that a piece of clear glass dessert dishes. ) I don't know who got those pieces when she died, but I would have liked some of the Fostoria.

It looks as if I didn't vote where I should, but if not, could you fix it for me?
Thanks,
