Jean,  so glad to hear that you didn't get all the bad rains.

Yesterday, they had planned on letting residents and store owners back into Ellicott City to access their damage, but the weather forecast was for more hard rain and possibly more flooding,  so that was cancelled.  They were trying to make some fast improvements to help with the possible flooding.  I haven't heard anything this morning that anything drastic happened .  More rain is expected over the week end.  Enough is enough !!!!

Remembered that video, Sato, and enjoyed seeing it again.

Joy, it is so sad that they had another flood in Ellicott City.  I wonder if they will go ahead with their plans to correct the flooding problem.

Joy

Jean,  the hard rains didn't happen yesterday.  I did hear that they were going to let some of the residents into the town this evening.  They have to  have someone with them, as there are still some dangerous places they can't walk through.  I did hear that they had taken out over 100 truck loads of debris.  The pictures still look bad.  I did hear they are still going through with some of the improvements that have been working on.  It is supposed to rain over the week end.  So hope it isn't too bad this time.

I recently changed my signature column contents. Especially, deleted TIME & TEMPERATURE thingy. It doesn't tell you correctly. I can not understand why . Anyone will be welcome to tell me about that.

Sato, it is always interesting to see other harbors.  I live about 35-40 miles from three cities on Lake Michigan and all are harbor cities.  My nephew, Tom, used to do a lot of sailing.

Sato, the small flowers in your garden certainly are cute, as you put it.  You and your wife have such talent to grow such pretty plants.

Sato your two "I've been working on the railroad" brought back so many happy memories, thanks.  My father worked on the railroad, we had many tracks  close to our home and we would hike along them.   As teen agers we would ride along in a car singing "Someone's  in the Kitchen"

FlaJean

Sato, really enjoyed your two videos and sang along!  Larry and I used to travel a lot and one of my grandsons marveled at the fact that we never turned on the radio or played music tapes/cds when riding in the car.  But we used to ride along singing old songs like in your video or “Bicycle built for Two”, etc., talked to each other or just enjoyed the scenery.

So glad you are feeling well enough to post.

Joy

Sato,  your two videos were fun !!!  I, too, sang along with them.  Thanks for sharing.  I guess you were playing the piano along with the video.  Love the sound of those old songs,  especially on the piano.

Jean, isn't it funny that we can all remember the words to so many of those old songs.  Can't even understand most of the words in the songs today.

Mary Ann

Sato, Jean and Joy, I sang along too.  It reminded me of the "old" days when we'd take a ride on Sunday.  There was no radio in the car but we'd sing all of those old songs.  And we knew the words - I'm with you, Joy, about understanding words of songs today.

Mary Ann

Sato

Jack, Jean, Joy, Mary, I'm very glad to hear your comments.  A white & black video is interesting.
