Domestic Goddess: Is this correct, if one would like to post/share a recipe, we do so here?  If so, was searching to see if there were separate recipe categories?

Sato, stay safe and let us hear from you.

Sato

Thanks a lot, fine and blue sky after big storms.

We wanted to see the De Funiak Museum but it was closed once again. We stopped by the library the librarian showed us the Music Box that was donated. They have 32 disc. The quality of the music sounded much better in person than on this video. We did an earlier video of the historic houses so didn't include photos although we did look at them again.

Mary Ann

Jean, considering the age of the disc, even of the music box, I think the sound was very good.

Jean loved it and that was back when music was   ----   Music.

Sato

Jean, very nice.  You visited a good historian music place.

Thanks for your comments.  Thank you, Sato, for that beautiful autumn picture.  We don’t have the fall colors here as it is too warm.  It won’t be long, Jack, until you will be enjoying your daily walk with Mimi among the Oglebay Park fall gardens.

Mary Ann, your temperatures are nice right now.  Enjoy this lovely Sunday.  Here we are having a bright sunny day.

Mary Ann

Jean, today is not much of a nice day since it is rainy or drizzly.  I did not wear my raincoat to church and didn't suffer without it, but the sidewalk showed it had rained some while we were in church.  Fortunately, the roof didn't leak!!!  Our temperature now is 53 degrees and I think it was 51 degrees when we left for church.

My daughter had a old music box looked like that. I think it may have been a more current model. I loved listening to the tapes on it. She must not have it out anymore. Same with her player piano. I don't think that is used anymore. Nice piece of furniture . Seem that they just make thing now that get thrown away after a few years. Not in the cabinets like in the past. I still have  my 65 years old radio/record player with its beautiful cabinet. Still plays good if I take the time to turn it on.

Guess I am slowing down.  Do not take the long walks anymore, just a stroll and look for a bench.  Has been some time since I have taken many photos (except those of Mimi)  Was looking at some of my old slide shows and liked this one, probably due to the music.   If you visit go full screen.

Jack, I loved that video so much.  Glad the words were there so I could sing along.  All the photos are so prettyâ€"love the snow scenes at the end.

Amy and Jean thank you and here was another favorite, would you believe Perry Como!

Amy

Thank you Jack, I thoroughly enjoyed this one also. Perry Como is a favorite of mine  and the scenery was beautiful. Loved the apple/cherry trees.

Jack, another winner.  Bryan’s Song was such a good movieâ€"-but also sad.  I was also a Perry Como fan.  That’s a beautiful song to go with those lovely photos.

Joy

Jack,  thanks for re-sharing those 2 beautiful videos.  Nice to see something so nice early on this kind of dreary morning.  Never get tired of Ogleby pictures.

And, the music was perfect.   Would not have recognized that the last one was Perry Como.  Still never get tired of listening to those old great singers.  Those kind are few and far behind these days.

BIG BOX

Amy, Joy and Jean thanks.  Miss the old time music and not much of a fan of what is played now.   Brians song was way back 1971 and was a great movie.

SCFSue

I thought Perry Como was "the cat's meow"!  He was so handsome and sang such lovely ballads.  I think of all the singers of his time, he was the best.  Thanks, Jack, for posting the music and your photos to accompany it are lovely, too.

Thanks again Jack, music and pictures beautiful

Not much color so far this fall, and I am not getting around the park like years past.  Here are a group of photos with the last being a panorama.  The music is   Evergreen    check it out full screen.

I still have trouble seeing videos but clicked "just to check" & it played.  Beautiful, Jack, and so peaceful looking.  I was going to leave a note but it insisted I had to sign in or join & I can't remember my password (on the other computer) to say, "GOOD JOB".... Seriously, my server has been off so much lately & when I can't get videos my phones drop calls... be talking & all of a sudden I hear "I can't hear you".... I can hear them but they can't hear me.... and since it is all the phones in the house, I know is isn't the phones but their system.  The other choice isn't any better, just our area.

FlaJean

Jack, that was beautiful but too short!  We’re still having days in the 80s.  It was a sunshiny day but if we get any color it will be awhile yet.

SCFSue

It's dark and dreary here this morning in Auburn, Alabama.  It rained heavily during the night and I have MANY leaves down that will be harder to rake up today as I have lots of large oaks in my front and back yards.  I'll get a few done, but football games will be coming on in a couple of hours, I'll probably come inside to watch the games!

Sue

Amy

Jack, that was beautiful ! I too, wish it were longer..such a lovely setting and the music was perfect.

I also watched the video of Mimi on her walk ,such a lovely dog.
Thank you so much for sharing these.

Thanks Jean and Amy.  I had more photos but most the same view and wanted to match the photos with the music.

Quiet in here.  Lost the good program I had on Microsoft, so playing with a new one.  Tough learning but may work things out.  Here are several Mimi clips.   View full screen.

Mary Ann

Good clips, Jack.  Mimi is a very alert dog.

Your neighbor sure has a lot of deer in his backyard.  Mimi is so sweet.  She loves to have you near her, doesn't she?  Nice porch to sit on and watch the storm as long as there isn't any lightning nearby.  When we were in Ocala, i used to sit in the sun room a lot to read.  I loved sitting in there and listen to the rain.  Suddenly, lightning struck the tree in the side yard.  It really scared me and I jumped up and ran into the main part of the house.  The bark was stripped off the tree and ended up in the neighbor's yard.  We had to have that tree removed.

jackwv

Mary Ann and Jean thanks.  Mimi stays close, when I return home she is on her back for a belly rub and then will let me pass.  Jean for years I would go out on the patio when we were having a heavy rain and lightning.  Have been fortunate, nothing close has been hit.  Guess my Goldens always saw I was calm and they remained the same. Miss the slide shows, hope you and Sato can post, even some old ones.
