Oldiesmann: Relevant links can be found in topics in the Homemaking, Food & Garden board. I'll see about moving them over to articles here when I get a chance.

Oldiesmann: Found them. They're on the CP site: https://www.christianphotographers.com/recipes/recipeindex.html

Oldiesmann: I'm not finding anything related to recipes on the site. I'll do some digging through the Internet Archive and see if I can dig them up. It's possible that got lost in the big server crash back in 2016

Hi Sato
Best wishes for a speedy recovery to you and Sachiko.

Kevin

Sato

Sachiko returned home on April 27.  She might have been afraid of  the new system of our site.  Hope someone would give her any suggestion to join us.

We enjoyed going to the Turkey Creek Walk in Niceville.  Saw several families enjoying swimming in the creek.  The walk is ¾ miles and we didn't quite make it to the end---but almost.  ;)  By this time it was getting a little warm.

Jean so pleased you and Larry take time to relax and get the cameras busy.   Lovely photos and video and the Hymn was so fitting.  Looks like a great place to get away from it all.

Joy

Jean,  so good to see the pictures of the nice park in your new area.   Looks like a really nice place, especially with the enclosed picnic area.   I love to eat outside when it is nice, so that would be my choice to take a nice picnic lunch and enjoy the peaceful area.  Looking forward to seeing lots of more new places.  Thanks for sharing.

Jean, it is so nice to see you posting videos of the areas around you.  You have moved to a beautiful area and I enjoyed being with you.

FlaJean

Thank you Jack, Joy and Mary Ann for your comments.  Joy, they have a bus that picks up seniors once a month to take them to the park.  I'm glad we went on a week day when things are kind of slow.  I've lost 10 lbs during this move.  I think my next trip is going clothes shopping, but I haven't told Larry yet.

Shirley

I did enjoy the video, Jean, left a comment there.  You do find the most interesting & relaxing places.  Okay. love to shop, take us along?

I am in panic mode with painters coming Monday to start the process.  Taking off these storm windows & keeping them from getting broken if it's windy... getting them cleaned & marked so the painters get the right ones for each window will be a nightmare.  We put it off so long it is overwhelming now.

Hope the weather is calm all week, for everyone... especially the painters.   ::)

Sato

Jean, enjoyed your video. You and Larry look nice.
It is now at the end of Spring and early Summer seems to have started.  Here is a slideshow with PHOTOPEACH which was edited by my friend in Yokohama.

Another slideshow of flowers' photos by my friend in Yokohama.

I am unable to walk around with my camera, so I asked him if I could share his works to you here.  He agreed with pleasure.  Some Japanese words be seen though.

Sato, so nice that your friend shared his videos with us.

Beautiful rows  and rows of flowers in the Photopeach video. And, the sharpness of the greens and yellows in the trees were beautiful . And, the music was so soothing.

I couldn't watch the second video as it was a message telling me it was "forbidden".  Don't know what that means????

Thanks for sharing.

Sato

Joy, thanks for your comment.  The second video showed lots of beautiful wisteria.  I don't know why it doesn't run.  Sorry!

I could see it all.  Beautiful.
I start to think that Japan must be the country where there is the most respect for nature and where blooms are most appreciated and cared for.  Such rich displays, so many gardens!
Thanks Sato for allowing us to admire and become a little envious :)

Sato

Joy, as for the second one, you need to push "slideshow mark" which might be strange for you.  Sorry.

Bubble, thank you. Would you please add any other comment than mine above for Joy?

I don't know what to say: I saw these as thumbnails that I could click on to view bigger, not as slideshow because I did not see anyway to do that.  I wish I was fluent in Japanese script! The "choose the language" did not help.

Sato

There is a small icon at upper part to run the slideshow.  It may be difficult to find, sorry.  But bubble's way might be better.

Now, it's bedtime for me, a bit early, but I AM in hospital.  A shame!

Have a peaceful sleep Sato, and may it help your return to health

Joy

Bubble and Sato,  thanks for the hints , but it still comes up as "Error - Forbidden"  Those are the only words in English.

Everything is in Japanese and no place that says to Translate. No icon for "slideshow".   I just will enjoy the second video of those beautiful rows and rows of white bushes.

Thanks, anyway for trying to help out.

Sato, do hope that you will soon be back home and doing well.

Sato both slide shows were beautiful, would like to stroll along both lines of flowers and trees.  Love the colors but just the sun shining on the green leaves were wonderful.   You might help your friends with PhotoPeach, Windows live  or Apple.  Would love to have them join us.  Wonderful that you and Sachiko speak our language, if your friends do not, their photos alone are a fine message.

Mary Ann

Sato, I was able to view both of your friend's videos and I found the Slideshow icon.  He takes beautiful pictures and you have so many beautiful flowers in bloom.

It Looks like our poor little Eagle babies got a soaking.  Wonder if they are having this cold, rain where they are.  Parents sure leave them a lot these days...

Grand Haven doesn't look to good either. Only 2 people on the Beach wearing winter coats.

Sato, I enjoyed the slideshow but especially enjoyed the Photopeach video full screen.  The photos your friend took of those leaves are very nice.  I love the way they way they showed in the photos.  All of the photos were outstanding.

FlaJean

Joy, when I tried seeing the photos with my usual browser they wouldn't come up at all.  Then I went to Chrome browser and they showed immediately.  Maybe if you try a different browser you will have better luck.  I also enjoyed the music.

Vanilla-Jackie

Sato, thank you I really enjoyed your show....Everything looks so healthy the flowers with the pink insides and the green shiny leaves....Have to ask, are the Ume fruits edible? ahh just answered my own question, seems to be called a plum yet is more related to an apricot....

Wishing you good health, sorry to hear you are currently laid up in hospital.....

Sato

I've just got up from bed in hospital right now.
Many thanks for all of your comments.  There might be several ways to watch videos or slideshows.  Depends on each computer's environment.  My friend is sort of a specialist on PC, but another members don't use English usually, so no words in your language on the masterpieces.

It's fine, the sun is shining here.  You are maybe having a good evening now.

Jean, I can't do Google Map street viewing on my iPad mini.  Can you use your iPad for this purpose?  Please show us the details of your new home address if you don't mind?

Sato

Vanilla, thank you so much for your message!  Yes, UME is a kind of plum, a Japanese apricot. My wife emailed me that lots of UME fruits are growing day by day, so we will be able to celebrate the festival of harvest when I return home.

I seem to be getting the photo's along with the music that Sato is sending just fine.  Loved the Purple ones back 2 postings. I thought they were trees but maybe they are hanging bushes.
You keep getting Well Sato.  Then you can get back home. You are missed.

I think it must be cold where the Eagles are also. The leaves are really shaking around and they are still laying in the same place looking wet.

Yes best wishes for a speedy recovery Sato.
