Domestic Goddess: Is this correct, if one would like to post/share a recipe, we do so here?  If so, was searching to see if there were separate recipe categories?

I've been in & out a couple times every day but for some reason, have not taken time to talk.  My daughter was in town for a week & everyone tried to get together nearly every day (she is a ring leader  ;)  ).... and she loves to have me fix her favorites to eat.  She has 4 kids & 5 grands so far, retired this last year & has not slowed down.  The only time anyone "does" for her is her old mother & it is so nice to get a chance to spoil her a little.  Anyway, I have been reading & clicking the links, sometimes I can get them to work & other times they don't.  I've quit stewing about them not working, nothing I can do when the internet provider is at fault.

Sato, have you had any word from Sachiko recently?  It has been quite a while since she stopped by, hope she is okay.  Glad you are doing better & hope your wife is still taking those gorgeous flower photos.

Thanks for sharing photos, everyone... I do enjoy.  Still have not checked the camera to see if any photos taken at the lake a week or so ago are worth saving.  Had the most awesome sight of one whole end of the lake covered with floating geese of all kinds & next morning they lifted into the sky, circled around & I thought went out to the fields to eat & be back later, but they must have gone further south since we had a very cold front with ice that moved in over night.  Not a goose in sight the following morning.  Because of the cats I can not just open a door & step out to take pictures... have to lock cats in the bedroom first, don't want to lose another one that way!

.....Sato, I send wishes and flowers for a most enjoyable day...

Belated birthday greetings, Sato.  I don't check the calendar of birthdays so I don't know if someone has a birthday until someone else posts it.

I hope  your health is improving.

Sato, I am also adding belated birthday wishes. :hb3: :hb2:

Larry and I went over to Harry T's Lighthouse on Harbor Walk for brunch with the kids.  It was a beautiful day!!!  We walked around and enjoyed the warm sunshine.  Took a few photos and thought I would make a short video.  I'm really getting out of practice.

Jean a great start for my day.  A wonderful tour and music.  What a way to spend the day.

FlaJean

Thanks Jack.  We really had a nice time.  There’s a lot of free parking which is nice.  And this area is very family oriented.  Our temp will get up to 75F today and the sun  is shining.  Spring is in the air!

Lindancer

Jean, I have to say I envy you that beautiful day.  Wish I could get down there one more day. My DIL is always asking me.

Gloria, we are having another beautiful day.  It makes me want to go out and buy some plants, but it is probably a little too soon for this part of Florida.

JeanneP

Jean.  Its been awhile since I was in Florida. Will be in Destin for a few days early April. One of GS got married there 10 years ago and going to do a Renew Marriage. Hope its warm I need some sun.

Super show, Jean, fantastic place to be!  Shirley

FlaJean

JeanneP, it should be plenty warm in April.  Just hope it doesn’t rain while you are in Destin.    My daughter told me before we moved here that this area gets a lot of rainâ€"-she was right.  But today is another beautiful warm and sunny day. ðŸ'

Shirley, I saw your note on Vimeo.  Still waiting to see a video of a camping trip.  🎶🎶

Rain and snow all week and today I was out without a jacket.  Beautiful day, and walk.  No photos but here is our weather and we will probably pay for it later.

Mary Ann

Jack, our temps are in line with yours, only lower.  Today is 60, tomorrow 38, then 27, then the temps start going up again to 44 degrees Saturday.  Our sixty isn't as nice as it sounds because it has rained all day.  We have a flash flood watch until 5 pm Wednesday.  What is interesting is the fog; it is in low areas, not necessarily near water.  Without sun, the fog has stayed all day.  We've lost a lot of snow but I know there is more to come - right around the corner!

Our weather in Niceville this week.  I sure wish the weather icon on S&F worked like it used to.

JeanneP

Jean. I hope that we don't get rain while we are there. We have all had such awful weather this winter. Both here in Illinois and family in Texas.
Was 64 here today but pouring down and felt like below 35. Will go down below that tonight and rain all week.  So much flooding going on in the areas all around here and other towns. I never have problem here as live by the interstate and all good drainage and high up.

I woke up to lots of thunder this morning.... freezing rain, sleet & a little snow & plenty of wind.  Lucky we didn't have ice on the trees to break limbs around here but not a good day for drivers. (That is an understatement!") We went from 75°  this week to "feels like" near zero.  Cats went racing to the door to go outside this morning & Tom stopped, turned around & changed his mind.  His mother (Callie) was right behind him & skidded to a halt & backed up.... so I closed the door.  Tiger is no dummy, she was sitting on a floor vent & didn't even bother to get up & look out.  I took a couple naps to make up for lack of sleep & ready to go back to bed again.  Got another round of winter weather predicted for tomorrow.

FlaJean

Larry took a few photos of our birds.  They are really enjoying the bird feeders Larry put up, and we are enjoying watching them flying in and out.

https://vimeo.com/260511682

Mary Ann

Jean, I'm so glad Larry put up the feeders because they're so interesting to watch.  I don't think I've ever seen a picture of the first bird at the feeder, but one with a yellow throat looked like a warbler.  If I put up a feeder, I'd have several squirrels at it so I don't, however,  I did see you had a squirrel around somewhere.

Mary Ann

SCFSue

Jean, thank you for the great video of your bird feeder.  I have a new one this year, plus a new bird house--and so far no birds.  I can't figure it out as my son and his wife have been having birds at their feeders for almost a month.  They only live about 5 miles from me in the next town.  I usually have large flocks of cardinals by this time, but so far none.  Most years I've had 2 or 3 flocks fly in, stay a few days, and then move north.  I did have a very large red-tailed hawk in my neighborhood recently and perhaps that scared the smaller birds away.

Sue

FlaJean

Mary Ann, the first bird in the video is a Carolina Wren.  I don’t think think they are in your area.

Sue, I’m sure the birds will soon find their way to your bird feeder.  We saw several cardinals today.  The little Carolina Chickadee has been going in and out of the Bluebird house but the little fella is so quick it’s hard to take his picture.  :)

so_P_bubble

How lovely Jean and interesting to watch.
Strange, I never saw feeders in Israel.  I wonder why.

jackwv

Jean that was so interesting, great video and photos.  No doubt will keep Larry busy with that camera.  You have a nice set up of feeders, and wonder how many squirrels you will attract.

FlaJean

So far we have about 5 or 6 small squirrels, but they stay on the ground eating what the birds drop.  Larry can sit in front of the glass storm door and have a good view of the birds.  They pay no attention to him but go about their business of eating.  We’ve seen the Chickadee go in out of the Bluebird house, but the little guy is so fast Larry can’t get a photo.

Lindancer

Jean, what wonderful pictures, I just love watching the birds from my breakfast table in the morning.

FlaJean

Gloria De, I noticed the brightly colored birdhouses in your winter snow photos.  So glad you are recovering and enjoying the birds again.
