Oldiesmann: Relevant links can be found in topics in the Homemaking, Food & Garden board. I'll see about moving them over to articles here when I get a chance.

Oldiesmann: Found them. They're on the CP site: https://www.christianphotographers.com/recipes/recipeindex.html

Oldiesmann: I'm not finding anything related to recipes on the site. I'll do some digging through the Internet Archive and see if I can dig them up. It's possible that got lost in the big server crash back in 2016

Jane, beautiful photos! You will really miss them when you have to come home. Get lots of hugs and kisses in before you do come home.

tHANK YOU BUBBLE for posting the pictures!

AMY, I'm working on the hugs and kisses.  EMMA is easy!  If you look at her she hugs.  Mikey is different.  He's so busy he doesn't have time to stop but when they're getting ready to go home, I always get my hug and a look I can't describe.  It's loaded with LOVE!  Little Cam, I'm just enjoying my chance to hold and I've had more than my share of smiles!

Jane, I've been enjoying hearing about your trip and the kids. However, there's something puzzling about one of your photos, something that isn't being remarked on.

I went back and looked at the pictures and it's not on the original.  Somewhere between when I sent it to BUBBLE and it got posted, Emma got another eye!  She really only has two...just like everyone!

Shirley

Love the love oozing out of those photos, Jane..... and I did catch the double eye, we used to have that happen with cameras but never saw it happen with a phone camera! Didn't have any storms that sent you to shelter while here?  Have to giggle at Mikey ready to jump out but Emma is being such a grown up big sister, beautiful kids!

patricia19

Shirley, I caught that too! He was all about getting back to what he was doing. I was reminded of my friend's grandkids in a similar situation. She wanted the two kids, one three and one a month old, in a single photo. Dave wriggled, didn't want to hold his sister, and asked why. She told him it was to remember them. He was puzzled and said, we're here, pointing to the two of them.

Amy

Bubble, I liked each and every one, too many to edge one over the other, but the ones I came back to were the dancers in orange, the big sister and the bicyclist with the small pet. The first and last of those had such fluidness in stone, and the middle showed a big sis's motherly concern.

Lloyd Hammond

Good afternoon everyone. I enjoyed re going through the pictures, Brings back some of my chieldhood memorys. when my mother Married my step father and we mooved to the farm. My step father had a pet deear, it would come up to him and eat out of his hand, one day a neighbor came over an asked to go dear hunting dad said yes, he wasent gone back in the woods but a few minutes and came back with my dads dear dead in his truck,  my step farther came in the house and set downand and cried Like a babie.Mother was not very simptick with him she said he should not have told him he could go hunting back there. I see two doe dears go through here but have not seean them have any   babies with them. we put food scraps out back for them but they seame to onley at at night and we do not see theame eat. but them or the varments clen the up. well we do the best to keep them going. mabey they will bring there offspring by later on. Nancy has kept feeders out for the humming birds But the bees have found them and are keeping them empty. Nancy is upset and isaying she is going to stop filling them. see you after while Nancy has called come eat.

For Amy

Took this photo from our neighbours side, she gets to see it better than we do as there is a cedar blocking part of the view  on us. I was working outside with the smell of the lilacs and the hum of the bees.

..no thank you.. :yikes:

JaneS

AMY, Loved the lilacs!  If they're blooming where you are, the must be all over at my house.  I guess I missed that!

BUBBLE, I agree with JACKIE!  I'm not into robots.  I don't even like it when they answer the phone and tell me "All lines are busy, Please wait".

RAMMEL

Do they have a machine (Robot) that can drink the coffee?

Soon Robots will be all that is needed to run industry. No more jobs. Leisure time for all. Won't that be fun (at least for a while).

Gives me an uneasy, creepy kind of feeling.  I don't like to think about the future, and what life will be like.  Good that I won't be here to see the tech changes.
