Oldiesmann: Finally got the AmazonBot situation under control. I basically changed some server settings to tell AmazonBot that it's not allowed to access anything on the site. That should fix the speed issues we've been experiencing lately

I am really enjoying the photos from Don and Ethy ..

Except the "Favorite Dessert" one....
Than looks really creepy!
What is it called,  so I can google it?

Joy I was thinking it was some kind of watermelon  mixture.  Looked a little soupy.

 :2funny:   :rotflol:

Guess again!
Clue: it is a concoction that was sent from the UK, very popular over there at a certain time of the year.

I think Don loved it because it is very sweet and "boozy"

MaryTX

Bubbles and Don, is it a plum pudding with a hard sauce made with brandy?

MaryTX I didn't think anyone would have guessed that.

Lindancer

Don and Bubble, thanks for the wonderful photos.

My mother would buy plum pudding, but made her own hard sauce. When I was real little, I like to dip my finger in it, when she was not looking,  It was kept on the sideboard, with all the other deserts

Really enjoyed your photos.

Bubble and Don, my aunt was married to an Englishman and lived in England for several years.  When she moved back to the States, she continued to fix some English foods.  Plum pudding was one of them at the holiday time.  Us kids could have some of the pudding but no brandy sauce :).

My Favourite Sweet grown up. All kinds of puddings. That one does look good.  We always put Custard over ours.  Was a toffee sauce I liked.
You are going to fatten his up Bubble.  He will really be a good Father Christmas this year.

You get excited making the beds when changing sheets.  I hate it now. Beds so big I get tired walking around. Going to stop using fitted sheet . Mattresses to big.
Talking Mattresses. A women in town yesterday took one in her yard , Put gas on it and set it afire. Burned down half her house and the next doors garage. Funny thing was. She borrowed the gas from the man next door. He though she needed for her car.  Wonder if she found bed bug. Must have been crazy.  Not easy to have them picked up anymore but are places. They take the old ones when you buy new. Me every 10 years.
Is it another holiday this weekend? what is it now. Suppose no mail or garbage pick up tomorrow.

Go darn ants already. Spraying like crazy.

Bubble, it looks like Aviv is getting lots of attention from the girls in that second photo.

so_P_bubble

There are more girls than boys in his class; but he likes girls... especially with long hair!

JeanneP

Looks like he has some pretty little girls there. Has he fallen in love yet.  They will be fighting over him in years to come. I had 2 GSons so cute when that age and it was so funny how the girls would chase them. Our schools were seperate so had not of that until end of high school. I had elder brother so not into boys.
JeanneP

Vanilla-Jackie

A good lesson to learn....hm, looks like all the little girls have long hair... ;)

angelface555

Bubble, Aviv looks very boyish there, he has such determined expressions! Don't all the males like long hair on girls?  ::)

These are really good photos! Thank you and Don.

Weather has been great, hope we do not pay for it later.   It is still a month till spring and we have had snow in April.   Back from a long walk and noticed the daffodils and buds on my pear tree.

jackwv

Now here is my favorite blossom, with a big smile.

angelface555

Jack, you are lucky to have such a lovely big blossom! And the pears and daffodils aren't bad either! We will still have snow probably through March and then melting gray slush through April. We have had snow in July and sixty-five degrees in January, so we've learned to never say never!  ;)

Vanilla-Jackie

JACK WV...
...like you, I like your favourite blossom best...

No snow here, usually January or February if we are to get snow but, we cant be ruling out march...Maybe you will have an early Spring...

JeanneP

It is hard to believe the weather.  But true. We have had our worst snow storms in March.  But fingers crossed for this year. Be a lot of upset people. Have to put their shorts away again.  I was at the mall to day and so many wearing them. But then this is a University city. Lots of older people though.  It was 69 deg. Same tomorrow.

I swear I can see buds on my trees.  Usually a good sign is when the Hosta shoots come through the ground.

Prior to heading out on Aviv's field trip which Bubble posted previously we assembled in his kindergarten home room. It was something like herding cats trying to get them organised.

Radioman34

Time to shear those lovely curls.

Jack, Mimi is such a beauty and a good companion.

I wish I had your grandson's curls, Bubbles.  He reminds me so much of one of my great grandsons, Jacob.
