Domestic Goddess: Is this correct, if one would like to post/share a recipe, we do so here?  If so, was searching to see if there were separate recipe categories?

Jack beautiful views of the river, but glas there was not to much damage. We had flooding in Riverhead, last week, came up to the back of the stores, but did not do any damage, stopped in time, of going into any stores. Parking lots got hit the worse. thanks for posting.

Jack, that picture reminds me of times the Coal River rose where flowing into the Kanawha and the Kanawha into the Ohio down near Huntington.  My school bus couldn't come down the road I lived on and had to drop us off about 3 blocks away from our house.  We lived at the conjunction of the Coal and Kanawha Rivers.

Must have moved the Paddle Boat. Does it often raise like that?

Love the view, Jack.... and really great photos... camera or phone???   We always look for the paddle boats when going over the river in St.Louis, like another world or step back in time.  I don't want to ride on one, like you disliking high places, I shiver at going over a river on a bridge.  Long as I have my feet on the ground I am satisfied.

Andy walked down to the river with me yesterday to see the changes in ours, he was shocked.  I tried to tell him that rivers are constantly changing, but doubt if they can change where you are, Jack, is that right?  Looks like your banks are stabilized and even if the water goes over the banks it won't be allowed to fill in with trees, like this one is doing now.  What used to be the bed of the river is now filled with willows & other volunteer trees.  My other son made a clearing to the water & extra space last fall & I am loving the privacy.  Will be happy when the fish come back to my "landing".  It is too shallow for them to stay until it quits freezing.  Hopefully we will get spring rains that brings the water up enough to clear out the dead limbs & stuff.  People hang over the bridge to fish up stream about a quarter of a mile & let their trash fall into the water, it snags on the young trees & stumps left by the beaver.  The channel of water is on the other side where the bank is lined with big stones & a paved bike path wouldn't give seeds a chance to grow.  About every year we get one rain that brings the river over the bike path but the park department maintains fast.  I'd rather be on the "wild side".

I was lucky one Spring to come across a doe with her twins...I sat watching the fawns play until a car came zooming by :(.

JeanneP  the Paddle boat had stopped on its way to PIttsburgh.  Normally do not have boats docked  here.    We are fortunate and the Ohio River usually stays in its banks.

Amy Love the photos of the young does.

Darling photos of the fawns, Jean.... where this the pics go????  EDIT:  When I scrolled back while typing the post, did not find your babies or links.... they are back now!

Don & Bubble, it is a pleasure to see your happy faces (and that cute young man in the background).  At "our" age or any age, I am a believer that bringing joy into our lives and others adds years to our time on earth.  I am sure God is delighted with two of his special people.  Enjoy & share photos!

Joy

Don, so glad you arrived safe and sound.  So nice to see both of your happy faces.  And, also that little cutie in the background. (Although he isn't so little anymore)   Looking forward to more pictures of your travels about the area.

Wonderful photos, Bubbles and Don.  A long trip to travel but love makes it all worthwhile.

Shirley

:dontknow::booboo: :dontknow:  Sorry, Amy, I see it was you & not Jean that watched the fawns.  I wish we could have some around here but too much traffic.  I saw tracks years ago & even the wild turkey, but not a safe place for wildlife, even the feral cats.

Lindancer

Beautiful pictures, Don glad you arrived safe and sound, but of course tired.  Know you both will be up  and around, enjoying your visits around Israel.

I haven't quite shaken the jet lag as yet, but I'm gradually coming around. So this morning we ventured dowtown to the city square where preparations are in progress for the celebration of Purim. I dropped in to one of the stores I frequented last year and was welcomed back warmly, and the first question was would I appear in my Santa costume again, to which I responded in the affirmative. Our outing of course included a pause for cappucino, hot chocolate and croissants and quality time basking in the   Mediterranean sun [attachimg=1]

Don, I loved the photos and know you and Bubble are having a great time.  The doggies are cute, but look rather spoiled!  How long will you be able to visit?
