Oldiesmann: Finally got the AmazonBot situation under control. I basically changed some server settings to tell AmazonBot that it's not allowed to access anything on the site. That should fix the speed issues we've been experiencing lately

Jean, congratulations of the new granddaughter. your granddaughter is adorable! Her expression is cute and attractive. As I do not have the grandchild of the girl, you are enviable.

I have three grandsons and three great grandsons so we were all happy to finally have a little girl.  Joy, This grandson lives in CA.  JeanneP, I haven't done any crocheting in a few years.  I spend entirely too much time on my iPad or computer.  I used to make crocheted baby sets and I still have my crochet needles but finally gave away my patterns when we moved here.

Joy

Oh, Jean.  I can just imagine how happy everyone is to have that beautiful little girl.   Too bad that they are so far away.  I do hope that you will be able to get to see her sometime.  Have you given any thought of a trip to Ca.?   You have a good excuse now.  LOL

Congratulations, again.

It was before a little, but I went to the Fukuyama rose park with my husband. There was too little prosperity of the flower, but there were few visitors and was able to see it calmly.

Sachiko, I always enjoy the roses.  Hope you are getting up and about a bit.

Mary Ann

Sachiko, lovely roses.  Maybe they weren't out completely, but they still are beautiful.

FlaJean.

That is me also.  Use to make a lot of afghans. Specially babies as my Grands and GGrands came pretty close together.  5 of one and 6 of the other.  Then they ended and no little ones anymore.G Grands go from 3 to 13. And for sure no more from the Grandchildren.  I take a look at them and think. All this Crowd came from me starting out with 2 daughters. And in my time was just me 2 brothers and 1 cousin.  Left now with me and the cousin and his 2 sons. That side dying out.

Jack, Mary Ann, thank you very much for your comments.

Jack, Thanks to grace, I became quite fine.
But, I went by the driving of my husband to the rose park.

Mary Ann, So. It is the beginning of May that in full bloom of the roses in the Fukuyama rose park. But I cannot go out, and it is June 14 at that time that I visited.

Sachiko, absolutely gorgeous rose photos! The yellow one especially!

JeanneP

After all these 90 deg days for 3 weeks. it sure cool today. Even getting cold in the house. Will have to put on a heavy robe tonight if I want to sit and be comfy.
Hope things dont get rained out for the town over the 4th. That happened last year.

I have Lawrance Welk on at the moment. Could get up and dance around.

Angelface, thank you very much for your comment.
In Fukuyama, the roses bloom beautifully from October through November. I will go out again at that time, and I will introduce roses blooming in autumn.

Sachiko3

When I strolled in my garden this morning, the orange day-lily bloomed so much.

The roses are so beautiful. Hope you are back to good health.

Sachiko3

junee, thank you very much for your warm words.
The roses in Fukuyama rose park are well-kept and are beautiful.
I became healthy, and it is happiness in this way that I can post my photos here.

Sachiko, it looks like your hubby took great care of your garden, and its flowering plants and vegetables, while you spent time in hospital....I think everything has waited for your home arrival to blossom...the timing was perfect in time for you to enjoy all its wonderful colours, freshness and smells....

FlaJean

Sachiko, I love those bright orange day lilies.  We had a lot of day lilies in Ocala and maybe I will plant a few in our backyard next year.

Over in the Soda Shoppe,  Joan (Bis) has a little hidey-hole where different ones will hide something special for Joan.   I promised Joan I would put some of our steamed crabs for her in the hidey-hole.      I will leave a message for her over in the Soda Shoppe.

This is what we are having for our 4th of July celebration.  ( if any of you here would like some,  you better hurry up before they are all gone. )

Joy, I will be going to a favorite local pub this evening with Son, DIL, and Granddaughter, but doubt they will have anything to match those steamed crabs.  Nothing like being in the Baltimore  or Ocean City area for top seafood.   Red Lobster ok but just not the same.

JeanneP

Oh! I don't know how you can eat things that are crawling around in Shells. Can't stand to see it.  When in Texas, the family have this place where they just dump a bucket of "Crawfish" onto the middle of the table and people dive in. They have big barrels  of live ones that you just go pick out and the throw into boiling water.  Yuk!

Thanks, Joy.  Yummy!!  I'll gobble those right up.:)

Sachiko, the orange day lilies are glorious! Thank you! Such vibrant colors!

Joy and Jack, Alaska is famous for its king crab, and we are lucky to have friends that send some to us on occasions. The prices they asked for them in stores are unbelievable, and I couldn't afford lower forty-eight prices for what is available here!

Jeanne, I have eaten snake, squirrels, frog legs, different types of caviar, sushi, crawdads, and crawfish at various times to try them out or when visiting family and friends. As well as western "Clams." I didn't care for any of those, but I was a guest, so ate a small serving and withheld commenting.

FlaJean

Joy, I've never had steamed crabs, but I do love crab cakes so I would probably like them.  When we lived in Maryland we went several times to the Baltimore Inner Harbor--- really good eats.

jackwv

I prefer crab to lobster, but only if someone else does the work, or good crab cakes.

While at the park today I took another closeup of an umbrella shaped frame they are using for flowers.   Posting the photo of the unit then one of the underneath.  Sent them to my daughter along with a step by step of a tower.  Possibly the umbrella frame instructions are on the web.  Told her to give it a try and will let her do one for me.  I can handle the frame but if I touch the flowers would kill them.

Sachiko, your gardener might check it out.

Vanilla-Jackie, Jean, angelface, thank you very much for your comments.

I appreciate that my husband takes care of our garden and vegetables garden well.
In my garden, different flowers are going to bloom from now on.

Sachiko3

Joy, I love crabs, too. In Japan, many kinds are to the crab.

Sachiko3

Jack, thank you about this wonderful frame!
I will introduce the following site to my gardener.
                http://www.wave-rave.com/Howto/petunia_tower.aspx

I want this frame, too. But he is busy with the care of vegetables, and it will be impossible to make the frame.

JeanneP

I Love that planter. Looks like would be easy to make one. Even small ones could just take the kitchen Drainers that you use to drain Veg. Pasta and everything in your kitchen. You can buy the ones they use in the Restaurant kitchens. Much larger. Poles easy to find in hardware stores.  Sure is different.

Joy

Joan, you are quite welcome.  They were delicious.
