Oldiesmann: Finally got the AmazonBot situation under control. I basically changed some server settings to tell AmazonBot that it's not allowed to access anything on the site. That should fix the speed issues we've been experiencing lately

I took those photos (Reply #809) on August 18, 1999.
And, on August 19, I climbed up Mt Yari and reached the summit of Mt Yari with my husband.

Sachiko.  Great photo's. Nice you have them. Able to say. "Been there,Done that" Bought the TeeShirt. (People say that here). Just don't be trying it again. (Kidding). I know your husband will not do it either.  Great outfit you had one. Bet you can  fit in those pants again now.

Just noticed that cross. You think someone died on that spot?

Sachiko it is great you have all the videos and photos and can relive your past achievements.  Now take it easy like many of us, and hope you have a swift recovery.

angelface555

Sachiko, what nice photos to bring to mind wonderful memories!

Sachiko3

JeanneP, Jack, angelface, thanks a lot for your comments.

I always liked photography. And I took various photos if I traveled, and they are left in my album. But it is usable immediately and is convenient as my photos are put on my site after I established my site.

Sachiko, I marvel at how active and energetic you were in those younger days, and what you both had achieved.....That was certainly a great achievement, not something I don't think I could ever have done myself, ( besides I used to be terrified of heights,.....) and the view must have been amazing when you both reached the summit.....You both look so happy and so proud....Do cherish these photos, and those happy memories.....

Sachiko, I will now go to take a look at.......Welcome to Sachiko3's World

Sachiko3

Vanilla-Jacke, thanks a lot for your comment.
My husband climbed the mountain from University student days. I did not climb the mountain that much, but found me easy to talk to immediately. And I climbed the many mountains including Mt Fuji after I got married. And I went on many trips commencing with overseas travel.

My official site is the following.
http://www.fuchu.or.jp/~sachiko3/

It is establishment 20 years in this October. But most of these sites are Japanese.
Therefore I established
http://sachiko3.jp where I classified explanation in English into. But it is unfinished.

Vanilla-Jackie

Sachiko, thank you for both links....I have just this minute gone into your original Japanese site and a box has come up on my computer screen that says translate, and hey presto it has automatically translated all the words into English...

Sachiko3

Vanilla-Jackie, your computer screen has automatically translated all the words into English!I am enviable!

Lindancer

Sachiko, you take such beautiful photos.  What and adventure to climb such beautiful moutanins. You must have so many nice memories traveling with your husband.  Thanks for shareing.

Sachiko3

Lindancer, thank you very much for your comment. I traveled with my husband to the foreign countries including Japan. I have many wonderful memories. And I took many photos. I think of being able to post those photos to S&F happily.

Was hot and humid today, so did not go to the park.  Planned on just taking Jessie around the neighborhood.  We then had a late evening storm with lots of lightning.  When the storm passed we went out.  I took two photos.  The first is the eastern sky where the storm was moving out.   Looks like a large dog getting her pups in line.

Here is the western sky at the same time, sunset.

FlaJean

It has also been hot here.  Nice photos.

Sachiko3

Jack, wonderful photos. They seem to equal one line. Fukuyama is very hot today, too. But the humidity is low and is easy to spend time in the house.

jackwv

Jean and Sachiko thanks, would always appreciate the sky over your mountains and water.

Lindancer

Jack, been very hot here in NY also humidity for the past two days has been right at 99.  I like your pictures of the differnt skys.  I have always been one to look at the clouds and see differtnt formations.  I still think I will never see one as beautiful as you posted. I call the hand of God

JeanneP, I posted one of my photos from my iPad here.  I'm still in hospital.  I don't know if it would be successful or not.  Its size might be larger than usual and Jeanne Lee might say something about it.  I posted the original photo onto Photobucket and copy-pasted its IMG code here.  I'd like this way would be helpful for you.  Look forward to seeing your photos.

I'm not Jeanne P. but those are lovely flowers, Sato!

FlaJean

That is a beautiful photo, Sato.  We sure do miss you!

Sachiko3

Sato, beautiful photo! I’m very glad you could post your photo here.

Sato

Thanks for your kind comment.  It was my first trial from my iPad mini.  I don't know the way of downsizing photos on iPad, so its size must have been too large.
Jean, how do you manage to make pixels of a photo smaller on iPad?  Is there any App included in iPad, or have to download from App Store?

Yesterday, I went to the Ashida River with my husband. There was one heron on the opposite bank. Can you see the heron?

FlaJean

Sato, I sent you some instructions in an email and hope they help.

Sachiko, yes I do see the heron.  The scenery is so pretty.

angelface555

I thought I saw two herons. Was there one first in the water to the right and one on the dam or was it only the one first in the water and then on the dam?

Sachiko3

Jean, angelface, thank you very much for your comments.

angelface, That's right. I post the photo which spread. It is not clear

angelface555

Thank you, Sachiko, it is still clear enough to see the herons!

Sachiko, it is a pleasure seeing Heron's, particularly in flight, but I haven't seen one now for quite some time.....I would go to a place called Rickmansworth Aquadrome country park some years ago, where they had a Heron look - out point, a wooden hideaway shed with open window, or I would often spot some doing the two or three lake walks while walking my late dog Petra.....those lakes were always a most enjoyable dog walk........Sachiko it is always so peaceful and tranquil walking near waters...I am sure it is helping with your healing, and in your recovery...

Vanilla-Jackie, thank you very much for your comment.
I love the Ashida River. I usually walk to more down stream. But it was only the place with the dam close to our field this time.
On the other hand, I dropped in at our vegetables garden and took the photos of our vegetables. While I take the photo of the beloved place, I recover surely.

jackwv

Sachiko, good to see you visited the Ashida river and allway enjoy viewing the photos of your visit.

Having things in common.  Shirley in Kansas and Sachiko in Japan, both have their rivers they are so fond of.

As usual wonderful, beautiful pictures you have all posted.
