Last minute idea for a Christmas present: Hillbilly Briefcase

We are in the middle of a 3  long day scary storm named "Carmel". Yesterday an habitant from my town was knocked down by a big uprooted tree and now is in a coma.

Then in Tel Aviv, in a main street 

A little later, this happened:


The note says: "Car Subaru for sale, with air conditioner"

Many houses on my street suffered damage with window shades brown out with the high wind. My building was saved but, opening my window I saw this on my front tree



Not a snake, but a thick heavy tube 4 floors long, coiled at the top and too high above the street to be able to pull it down.

How it got there and from where is a mystery.

I just hope it will not detach itself and fall on the car below. That could create some serious damage.

Bubble, how scary!! Can't imagine what the people thought when they ended up in a sink hole!! Hope they were not hurt.

Must admit I did start at the bottom of the photos and worked up..........to the Brief Case........sure get me a good chuckle!!

Bubble that is scary, stay safe!  I am so happy you are okay. As Amy said, those images were scary. I hope the person from your town wakes up from their coma and recovers.

When I was younger, my city was completely inundated by floodwaters. You wouldn't believe what showed up in our yard and street after the waters receded. We didn't, although we did recognize a second-story staircase from a restaurant at the other end of town, propped up against our fence.

Bubble, I've avoided news because of the bickering so had not heard about this new disaster. How awful, no place is safe this year! What type storm is causing all that? WE have tornadoes & even a few small earthquakes but your photos show a whole different kind of damage. Please keep us posted about this. Love your "Hillbilly Brief Case".... Cas liked Jockey best but would have loved the giggle with any label.

Good morning, minus nine here amidst the snow piles in the Interior at 8:11 AM. So many photos to look at and wonder about. Beverly, the twins, look sweet. Babies become more darling when they're someone else's, and we may enjoy and then give back, don't they?

Bubble, it seems deadly, strong winds are becoming a worldwide phenomenon. I am very sorry for the damages shown in those photos and the individual in the coma. I hope things are better now?

Gloria, I remember when that first came out and thought it was so cool. I had saved it but am unsure if it's still around with past computer woes. We had such a good time then with wonderful friends before they took it all away!

Jean, we still have piles in the streets and sometimes still on the sidewalks. But it's cooling again and the trucks, graders, and those backup warning signals are at work 24/7. I imagine the city crews are glad for the overtime.

well It was nice to see all the lovely Ladies but there was a few of us men,and we know you wemon are boss but we should not be left out all togather.

Hope a few of you had some memories of the days in Bis' Busy Nest.  Not everyone had a picture showing like here in S&F. Bunnie talked me into trying PSP and I  found I enjoyed it. I had fun making the tree and getting the "ornaments" for it. We sure did have fun there and in the Missouri forum, too. All those trips on the old bus..

GLORIA, love seeing your Christmas Tree of Friends again.  Those were such happy times.  So many wonderful friends.  I miss them ALL.

Nazareth tonight December 24 2021

I got a tug at my heart and warm feeling just looking at Nazareth!  Thank you!  I know it's not the same but it IS Nazareth!

BUBBLE  wonderful seeing your Nazareth decorated for Christmas. First  time I went to San Diego for Christmas with my daughter and family was the first time I saw hoses decorated with the Menorah. That touched me and I think of it every year now

I have a few regrets in my life, one is that I never got to visit "the Holy Land" that means so much to all Faiths.... and the other that I didn't get to mosey thru Alaska. I have had a great life, better than I deserve BUT my dreams were about traveling the world. I made the choice to stay home & raise a family instead, and I do thank God every day for my family, not sure my kids would have turned out like they did if we had been on the road all their lives. Guess I wouldn't change a thing!! So, Bubble, thank you for sharing your part of the world, you do a better job of showing how it is than all the photo journalists combined!
