There are many kinds of vegetables in Japan. The vegetables which my husband cultivates are several kinds of those. He brings up vegetables as his hobby.

Bubble I agree on the duck, and did you notice the beaks on the eggplants.   Lots of wild life in that garden.

I thank for having been able to spend very splendid birthday. Particularly, I was able to celebrate my birthday with your tender words and your wonderful cards and with a few steaks and the vegetables which my husband made.

Sachiko, from the looks of the food pictured, I think many of us would like to have eaten with you.  The food looks delicious.  I am happy that you had a nice birthday.

There are people swimming in Lake Michigan at 8:45 pm.  The water is unusually warm - 74 degrees with a 77 degree air temperature.

And I did not also bake my birthday cake this time, and the dessert was commercial ice cream with a lot of strawberries.

Beautiful setting, delicious food and strawberries are a treat after a substantial meal. I wish I was nearer!

I saw your Ice cream and got up to my freezer to get me a "Weight Watchers English Toffee bar Ice Cream". They are really quite good. Never had before but will buy again.

Gloria D, although I don't swim, the pool looks very inviting.  I love your back yard and the flowers.  We don't have a pool but we do  have a pond and sometimes we have ducks and geese on the pond.  The ducks are welcome but the geese are not.

There are loads of people in the water at Lake Michigan/Grand Haven and also lots of boats.  A couple of boats were going up the channel toward Spring Lake where the marinas are.  Norm had his boat at North Shore Marina and we went up and down the channel many times.  Those were fun times.

Gloria, an impressive pool, but I no longer swim.  I have to  see the dermatologist  quarterly and try to stay out of the sun.  Agree with Mary Ann, a lovely yard with lots of decorations, probably takes a lot of work.

Thanks, my husband use to love to work in the yard.  I have one of the large yards in the park.

jack I hope you do not mind, I post to you, as that is how my neighbor taught me to send pictures.

Gloria I do not mind, but the two photos had different codes.   I clicked on the garden and it was large, not the same with the pool.  The good thing is that you keep posting.     95 and humid here, doubt there will be a late walk in the park.
