Domestic Goddess: Is this correct, if one would like to post/share a recipe, we do so here?  If so, was searching to see if there were separate recipe categories?

Bev, I wondered the same thing about computing from his recliner.  That's about the same size as my first computer, the Tandy 1000, only my keyboard was separate from the monitor.

Beverly that is interesting.  I retired from banking in 1996 and they kidded me that I would not touch a computer.    Several years later I got my first and now spend quite a bit of time on one.  (not in a recliner)

JeanneP

They do say that many more people have back problems since computer came in. Had your husband stayed doing it in that position he would have been a mess by now. Furniture now lot better for them. But now they are using lap top instead  of Desktop and so back to the problems again.

Beautiful shot of the deer above. Season for killing will be here soon and will have to be really aware when driving out in the outskirts and also they get scared into town as can't be shot there. Always a few humans get shot along with them.

Have to admit it couldn't have been very comfortable!  :) We had recently moved from Vermont to New Jersey and temporarily rented a small 2 bedroom upstairs apartment.  It's amazing how far computers and other forms of technology have come.

Jack - I was afraid I would break something if I touched the wrong thing.  :)

Thank you!   Another one, Cosmos

Sato - It's good to see you posting photos again!

Your first photo could be a Rose of Sharon bloom. It's in the hibiscus family and the only hibiscus that survives in the north, where I came from. The hibiscus here in Florida are only found as potted plants up north.

Sandy - Fe is really growing up. So cute!

I've really enjoyed all the recent pictures and will try to be a more frequent visitor!

Beverly, thank you.  Yes, it is said "Rose of Sharon".  In our country, "Mukuge".

Sato, your cosmos is beautiful.  The cosmos is one of my favorites but I don't see too many in my area.

Up late this evening, too late to take photos but just in time to catch sunset.

Pretty sunset, Jack, I wish I were in an area to see those.  I live in a hollow and see only the tops of any sunsets, however, occasionally, we do have pretty red or pink skies.

My daughter and husband have gotten some great sun rises and sunsets over the golf on their phones, but I haven’t been in the right place or time to get one.  Jack. Your sunset is so pretty.

jackwv

Mary Ann and Jean from my home too much in the way, but at Oglebay get great vistas in every direction.  I just sit and enjoy many but from time to time take a photo and avoid, where possible, buildings.

Lindancer

Sato such beautiful photos of those flowers, good to see you posting

Jack I always like to watch sunsets. I can see some nice one when I look to the West from my front door  I am also a cloud watcher. I can see so many shapes and I let my imagination run wild.

jackwv

Lin  if you have a camera or smart phone take a photo of an unusual shaped cloud and give us your idea of the shape.  Loved to that as a child and still will on occasion.

jackwv

After church services I hurried to Oglebay with Mimi.   Not a cloud in the sky, so took a photo of the moon.   The other photo is a covered porch along the walk path. It has tables and chairs, and is a frequent stop.  The colors at sundown caught my eye.

Jack, I think the moon shot is spectacular.  I too like the colors in the second picture.  It looks very inviting to sit and chat.

I get in here every day but can't even find when I posted... sorry-sorry!  Jack, the photos are beautiful and those hanging baskets are
gorgeous, makes the porch glow.

Sato, beautiful flower photos, so good to have you back!

The aspen trees were already gold in the ghost town of St. Elmo, CO, when I was there last week.  I took a few photos but still have not uploaded them to the computer.  Have been doing all the chores of cleaning up the motorhome, washing bugs off the outside & cleaning linens & floors inside.  I drained the clean water tank & re-filled for trips to MO during October.  It is like having 2 houses to take care of & I am having trouble keeping up with one.  Today my son was over helping with some chores & noticed the cover over the sky light in the shower (RV) "looked funny".  Got on a ladder & discovered it had a big hole in where I drove under a low hanging limb.... and I remember when it happened.  I didn't think about it cracking a hole in that dome.  Will watch out, not a cheap repair!  Lucky the inside didn't leak, we had an inch & half of rain a couple days ago & didn't leak.  Always something~~I am not ready to give up traveling yet.....

Sato...
...welcome back, happy to know you are still taking photos of your wonderful flowers... :)

Jack wv...
...hard to believe that man has stood on that moon up in the sky that we look at so regularly without ever giving it much thought, apart from how beautiful it often looks...
Lovely to see those baskets are still in bloom...

Beverly...
...strange now looking back at the computers we once used or learnt on, how far we have moved on from those days...

sky on fire and cloudless serene moon, what a contrast! Thanks Jack.

The best part of my day is when I ask Mimi "Do you want to go for a walk"  She gives a howl, runs for the leash and have a hard time settling her long enough to put on her harness.  She runs to the back of the suv and jumps up into it.  She is a magnet at the park and we stop often for those walking by to pet her and discuss if they are local or visiting.  The kids love her.   You can tell I always have the camera with me and am blessed with the ability to drive and then walk the paths. I do stop often at the benches.

Know I post photos more than most, hope I do not bore you, but wish more would share their days.

jackwv

While having a 2nd cup of coffee it occurred to me that I had once posted a video of Mimi with a group of youngsters.   I was able to use my Kodak printer software to copy a frame to show she was enjoying the attention.  You may have missed the video, here is the photo.

...how does it feel playing second fiddle to a dog... ;D
...bet been a mighty long time, you were more popular than your Mimi....now I guess, you cant even get a look in...
" There is no present like the time "

jackwv

Jackie, I do not mind at all being second fiddle.   I lost Shirley at the age of 68, then had 4 Goldens.   Guess I am second fiddle but have never "fiddled around". ;) ;)

Nice photos, Jack!  Most of my recent photos have just been family and don’t like to post them.  But I do enjoy all the photos.  Shirley, I’m looking forward to your Colorado photos

jackwv

Jean I agree and do not post family photos.  (they would kill me)   Nothing wrong with posting some of your old fine photos, same with you and others Jackie.   Always interesting to see the different worlds we live in.

Joy

Jack, beautiful picture of the moon.

The second picture of the covered porch is a new one that I don't think you have ever posted before.  Does look so inviting.  The hanging baskets still look so nice. Won't be much longer before the winter starts setting in.

It has been chilly the past couple days, but supposed to warm up to the upper 70's and low 80's by the end of the week.  So, "summertime" hasn't quite let go yet.
