Domestic Goddess: Is this correct, if one would like to post/share a recipe, we do so here?  If so, was searching to see if there were separate recipe categories?

Love the welcome bunny, Don..... would not dare put one out here as you never go out without seeing them everywhere!

Sato, I do enjoy your flowers!  They are always so perfect & you do a fantastic job showing them at their best.

Marilyn, if memory serves me (not a sure thing).... seems like you have always had unique colored dogs & names to match.
So good that you offer your services (& your pup's) so many ways.  Sorry your husband is dealing (and you) with dementia, not
easy life. My DIL's mother has progressed so fast she doesn't remember family members anymore.  You are looking great, a new
hair style?  I like it.  I started to let mine grow out a little but think it will go tomorrow.  Heat & wind doesn't help longer hair.

Jack, the day you posted that beautiful sunset I got e-mail from my son as he was driving into Denver.... very same colors!  Today I got photos from my daughter in Santa Fe... she went to see the Loretto Chapel..... movie about it, interesting.

I'm yawning my head off, guess I'd better get to bed.  Supposed to have a severe T-storm tonight so may be up & down.

Ah, another beauty, Sato.

Sato

Shirley, thanks double compliments.

Sachiko has said nothing. Maybe very heavy rains and storms the past two weeks ago gave her garden much damage. Wish the recovery would come as soon as possible.

Oh dear, hope the old adage of " no news is good news..." is correct Sato... ???

....as tomorrow is her Birthday, if we hear nothing, this would be rather concerning for us...

Marilyn  that is wonderful that you are so involved with your visits.  You are experienced with the problems of  Dementia,  and sorry your husband is now a victim.
You asked if I have a new dog.   That is Mimi in my avatar.  She is 9 years old and have only had her for a year, since losing my Jessie that was 15.

shirley I decided to let my hair grow out and got it cut  very short. I love the new hair style, I had long hair for many  many years. Yes my dogs have always been unique. but Freckles in one of a kind. She is An Australian Cattle dog ( Blue Heeler) and Australian Shepard mix and only weighs   34 lbs. She is a well trained machine.

My friend found Freckles on a farm where she was tied up being used as a breeder.  She was brought into the Spay and Neuter clinic where we were both working and Freckles was the most obnoxious  little thing without any manners.
My friends father trained Freckles on his horse ranch and my friend put her up for adoption and no one adopted her  so when Border collie  ( Happy) passed at 16 yrs old She gave Freckles to me. I took her for the Canine good citizens testing and she became a Therapy dog.

She loves her job and letting people just love on her while she sits  on their feet or between their legs. I can take her off leash and goes right to her job. At the Caregivers group she  made the rounds of everyone there  and sat with each one for  10-15 minutes then moved to the next person. Her story was published in the  flagship edition of Lucky Dog magazine.

I am having trouble getting these 2 photos to post..... thanks to Jack for resizing for me.  My daughter sent them from her phone as I didn't stay for the fireworks or photos on the 4th.  This are my 5 greats that live here (2 more in Seattle).  The youngest, under two, only several months apart, had a ball playing together. This was at Kate's house so she was making sure Carrick knew all the rules. I love the look of the big bloomers!

Marilyn, that's about the size dog I'd like to have this time.  My hair cut comes today. Looks so ratty trying to grow out.

Great looking kids, Shirley, and how nice they could get together.

Good photos of those great grands, Shirley. 😇. Five little angels.

Oh how I envy you Shirley.   Beautiful kids.

Amy

Shirley, what beautiful children and just look at the curly hair!!! My son's hair was curly like that and it really bothered me to cut his hair.

Shirley

Thank you all for the comments about these great grands.... I think I have enjoyed them more than I did the grands (bad me).  The cute thing about little Kate & Carrick was they talk their own language (not yet 2) but had no trouble understanding each other.  Both of the red heads have real curly hair but actually Kate's is sort of fine & blond like her mother & Amelia's is thick & black like her father & my side of the family, both straight. Jace is about the same age as Bubble's grandson & had to give up being the center of attention long ago. None of them are very bashful~~

Shirley, they are all darlings.  Jace is only six? looks much more!
Are the girls at each end sisters? They look so much alike.

so_P_bubble

Red sunflowers?  How unusual! Do they grow as big and heavy as the yellow ones?

Sato

Bubble, red sunflowers are rare, but grow as big as the yellow ones.

Beautiful sunflowers
Sato. I have some planted in the garden but they have yet to bloom. Curious to see the colours they may be.

Shirley

Bubble, yes, girls on each end are sisters.  Do you remember the little "Troll Doll" from a few years ago? Amelia was the one born with a full head of long black hair, completely out of control. Kate, on the other end, was very blond at first but her hair is darkening, not as dark as the photo.  Jace will be 7 soon, don't have my calendar close... I think he had to grow up faster with the little sisters, being a big brother is serious business.

Nice card, Jackie.... and I will wish .... Sachiko, a Very Happy Birthday..... too.

Pretty sunflower, Sato.  I planted a package of mixed colored sunflowers one year, they were amazing.  I had never seen anything but the yellow with black seeds in the center.  Somewhere I have photos of the many colors.  Thanks for posting!

My Sunday didn't start out too good.  We had a thunderstorm with lightning about 2:30 am, Tiger was sitting at the door waiting to come in when I looked.  Tom must have already gone to his hidey hole, where ever that is that he goes to when caught outside. I didn't get back to sleep since I usually get up about 5:00 am on Sunday mornings to feed cats before I go to church. When I got ready to leave my car gave a groan & refused to start. I noticed it had a different sound last time I started it & knew it is 5 years old & so is the battery.  By the time Auto Club got here & I headed to get a new battery installed, will need to attend the last Mass of the morning instead of first. 3 hours & 13 min sleep is not enough so a nap will follow!

FlaJean

Sato, a beautiful sunflower.  Your flower photos are always something to be treasured.

Jackie, that is a lovely card.  I hope Sachiko checks into the forum.  She will love it.

so_P_bubble

Shirley, sorry your week end is so miserable.  Cars can be a nuisance at time and mine is certainly this last week. I  had to have so many things replaced that it sounds like I almost have a new one car with all those spare parts they added. The bill was a mile long!
