Domestic Goddess: Is this correct, if one would like to post/share a recipe, we do so here?  If so, was searching to see if there were separate recipe categories?

Sato...
...dont think I have ever been lucky with Cosmos...I once planted some Cosmos bulbs, one Chocolate Cosmos I was looking forwards to seeing but....someone ( he shall remain nameless ) pulled them all up as WEEDS... ::)

...to date I never received a reply to sending Sachiko her birthday card...I wish she would come in to let everyone know all is well...it is very concerning that she is safe and well...

Thanks so much, Bubble.  Have a nice day.

Jackie, it was regretful to get no reply from Sachiko. Her area was attacked by a rather heavy typhoon two weeks ago.  She might have been busy......

SATO, lovely flowers.  My father used to raise cosmos.  You gave me a memory today.

If Sachiko's area was hit hard, let's hope it's communication that is out and not Sachiko herself.

Jane, thank you. Your father liked cosmos, didn't he?

Sachiko is OK but busy on many things to be done, I think

I think my father just like growing things.  He grew up on a farm and the instinct for growing never left him.  But the edge of the garden towards the garage always had cosmos.

We've had lots and lots of rain, over six inches the past two weeks and the next week isn't expected to be any different. The creeks, sloughs, and rivers are full with some minor flooding in low lying areas, lots of debris and caution is urged. I've stayed in for the duration, but the humidity and rain have definitely colored weather. Here you can see new rainclouds making their way up and over the western foothills

Yes I too am welcoming our rains as I believe the rest of England is too...We have had one of our hottest and driest Summers on record since 1976, we may even have topped this...And of course our farmers have been terribly affected, no grass for their cows, they have had to dip into their winter stock...Our hot weathers have played havoc too in Spain and Portugal their heat has touched 47c, sadly been several loss of lives...UK at last are having cooler weathers at last, ( more on par to our usual Summers, ) at least I can now go dance outside in our rain...and I have done...we are due heavy rain today...Our weathers are one thing that cant be controlled no matter how much money anyone has...

Now lets see what damage to the sun this Nasa's Parker Solar Space Probe mission causes, this is tampering with nature, our sun and our atmospheres.....Heaven knows what the future of our planet will be...Who gives anyone the right, the permission to tamper with our sun, our sun belongs to all...Hm, got that off my chest... >:(

Angelface...( Patricia )...
...Isn't life wonderful when we can view scenes from sunset to sunrise that each photo will turn out completely different yet its the same view...

Yes indeed our plants, flowers and all greenery not only need the rain but they rely on it for survival, as all living life does...
" Conclusion.." I see the rains mist in the far distance...

Patricia that is a good group of pretty scenes.  That's a lot of rain, we have had very little but enough to keep things green.

Patricia, thanks for all those interesting pictures, I guess the sky is Gods paint book. When I was painting a lot, I always loved to do clouds and skies. I think it was Jack that put in that cloud formation, that look like a hand touching out, It was a few years ago

Thanks, everyone! We still have at least another week to endure as the same weather pattern is expected through next Sunday.

Gloria, how is Taffy? If you or others are interested, Sasha and I have been discussing cats and posting some photos of ours here. And we'd love to have everyone join us.

Gloria thanks for mentioning.   I keep a copy of that cloud on my computer, and added the words from a Hymn we often sing at funerals.    Grew up during the depression and without toys a group of youngsters often would exchange what we saw with cloud formations.

Beautiful dahlia, Sato, my mother had some for a while. I think they need special care and she had a huge yard full of flowers of all kinds so they had to take care of themselves!

Patricia, love seeing your world & still dream of making that trip.  Problem is I don't want the tourist type visit, but just mosey along to see the wildlife, mountains and imagine what it was like back in the day.  Thanks for the photos. Also thanks for the link!

Jack, great shot & prayer you inserted.  You amaze me how you can resize & do all you do without using Paint Shop Pro!  I am going to take time out until I figure how to do that since I can't master the newer versions of PSP.  Years ago there was a PSP group that helped set up, I even took the lessons until my husband needed more help and I couldn't keep up.  Life changes & is still good, different but good.

Amy

Love all the photos!!

Jack, what a great shot and appropriate prayer.
