Domestic Goddess: Is this correct, if one would like to post/share a recipe, we do so here?  If so, was searching to see if there were separate recipe categories?

Thank you all for your messages.

The big Hurricane Florence became a tropical one. But bad news continue on TV.

Winter is moving right on in for the Interior's Arctic regions; the first pic is from the weekend and the last couple yesterday and today. That white sky signals snow clouds. Unfortunately, my balcony faces an industrial area. If I leaned way, way out and to the right, I could get in the Chena's river loop, but I'm not that limber!

I had received a camp chair for my last birthday but it's been appropriated.

It comes with its own toy holder;

You can really see her Abyssinian side with the pronounced neck ruff and orange coloration;

I thought I would include this for you Southern folk; this is moose with potatoes, onions, green beans, slathered in Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce and tossed in my wok, definitely comfort food for this time of year. And now back to your regularly scheduled program.

Sato, the hibiscus we had at the house where I grew up was this color pink.  They came up every year and were so pretty.  Yours is beautiful.

Loved your photos, Patriciaâ€"-especially Farrah in the camp chair.  You do have a nice view from your window.

Sato, what a nice shade of pink.  I don’t believe I have seen any pink hibiscus at the garden shopsâ€"-just red and yellow.

Sago, another plant I don’t recall seeing.  Lovely photo.

Shirley

Patricia & Sato, thanks for the photos!  I am so bleary eyed tonight, got in late last night but so excited to show you thej
beautiful Colorado colors this year..... see we have a new menu in the Gallery so hope I picked out the proper codes....
Not sure what order I am posting, one shows the tail of my RV with only steps down to Chalk Creek (my favorite spot in the world).... and a row of aspen in all their glory.

Shirley, what a lovely place to camp.  I doubt I'll get out to see any Michigan color, but we have all colors.  I don't think it outdoes the New England colors, but with the right weather and bright sunlight, it's spectacular.

Shirley and Sato, beautiful!

Sato, more beautiful flowers.

Shirley I do not know how you can handle that motor home (and the cats) but can see why that trip is a favorite. Those are beautiful early fall colors.

Such a pale bougainvilla, Sato - delicate pastel. We only have the strong colors here.

Shirley, I'm in love with your scenery!  What am I doing in this 'reclaimed desert" here??? Water in natural setting is sooo enticing.

Trees are blooming on the sides of streets.  Here is a poinciana with cheerful red flowers on the main pedestrian street in town.

Tonight starts the 8 days Succot Holiday, the feast of the cabanas commemorating the biblical 40y of wandering in the desert. These are erected in many backyards, gardens, and of course in front of restaurants so that people can have their meals there and perform all the required blessings.

Bubble you may not have the running streams, but your area has so much color and activities to offer.

angelface555

Bubble, how interesting! I would spend all my time people watching!

FlaJean

So many delightful photos today.  I especially love the scene of the brook in the woods, Shirley.

Sato, beautiful autumn flowers.

Bubbles, I enjoy your street scenes with the cafe and outside dining.

Lindancer

Bubbles so enjoyed those interesting scenes

Shirley, those aspen make a colorful  scene and so peaceful.

Thanks to everyone for the comments to my photos.... wish y'all could see the "full size"pics, so much more detail.  I'm still trying to unload the RV, every time I want something it is "still out there........"  Since I have 2 trips to MO during Oct, some things will stay out, but need to find the remote for the bedroom TV & my garage door opener.  Both could have mingled with the trash & been thrown out but I'm sure that as soon as they are replaced, they will turn up.  The bedroom TV in the RV is the one I use most.... has built in DVD player & my daughter keeps me supplied with things to watch, or I get fair reception when at the Lake (Truman), in MO... KC & St.Louis comes in.

Bubble, I so admire the Jewish people making it possible to celebrate the religious "holidays" so conveniently and openly.  Seems in this part of the world we have given in to the bashing of religion to the point we can't even wish anyone a "Merry Christmas" or allow any sign of Christianity.  Isn't that sad?  Love your photos & I would love to visit your land.

How I wish ALL of us could sit around the campfire my sons love to build, sing & eat & swat mosquitoes..... (Joan is up there rolling her eyes).  My youngest son chops wood all day after they both go across the road where there is enough "downed wood" to keep a fire going a year.  The older son bought a small Black & Decker battery operated saw that does a good job cutting apart the larger limbs, we all have regular chain saws that are not allowed because of fire hazard ...  younger son invested in some ax & hatchet tools that do all the trimming he enjoys when sitting around the camp. (I sure ran that sentence together, huh?)  He keeps whittling me new walking sticks, I don't go down any hill without one, even behind my house to the river.  Tall, staff type that he smooths off.

Patricia, your meal looks delicious.... Last year when we went down to the Mt.Princeton Lodge (Google) for lunch they had
elk burgers on the menu... really good, but been back several times since & not offered.  In fact, we were a little disappointed with the food this year.  Lots of people & they had a wedding reception going on so the parking lot was full.  Sure has grown since the first time we were there to swim... about 40+ years ago.  "Game" meat is good if you know how to cook it, not many know how (not me, for sure).
