Domestic Goddess: Is this correct, if one would like to post/share a recipe, we do so here?  If so, was searching to see if there were separate recipe categories?

Sato, what an interesting Chrysanthemum. I have never seen any like it. Chrysanthemums are a big hit here for fall planting.

Jean, I'm glad to hear that you are okay.

Gloria, a wonderful photo, and you must have many happy memories to have been together that many years.

Shirley

Gloria, great that you got that photo.... sorry we didn't do that, but we didn't.  You have not changed a bit in 10 years.  I'm sure the smile on his face is because you have such a zest for life & always kept things lively, besides having a beautiful smile. Thanks for posting, Bubble.

Gorgeous rose photo, Sato.  Maybe it is the Peace rose?  My bush did not do well this year, too hot & dry.  What I love about the Peace rose is every flower is different, some have more pinks & reds and others more yellows.

We have a wet, colder day and chance of snow flurries tonight. Hope it isn't freezing rain since the trees have all their leaves yet and would have a lot of limbs on the ground (even if heavy snow should fall).  Don't look for trouble, Shirley.  ::)  We maybe had a few hours of fall one day, but went from HOT to winter awful sudden!

Oh what a beautiful blushing rose, Sato!

Gloria, what a lovely photo of you and Cy! That is indeed an achievement as Jackie posted! You two look so right together, and I know memories must be cherished.

Sato, another lovely flower! I too thought it was a Peace Rose?

Gloria, what a wonderful picture of you and your husband.  With smiles like you have in the picture, you can look at it now, smile and reminisce about all of the happy days you had.

Sato, what a lovely rose.

Temp up to 60 but cloudy.  Short walk in the park.  Not much color, but always something to see.  Two photos.

Hey, Jake..... Amy got Mimi's name right so guess I can get over my typo of Millie the other day........Just teasing, Amy!!!!  Some times the fingers & brains don't sync......  :crazy2:

Beautiful mums in those pots.... wouldn't you love to look out any window of your house to see that?  I'd also love to look IN MY HOUSE to see that gorgeous Golden!   Thanks, Jack....  My kitty flowers are being a pain in the neck today & last night. Tom seems to think that 2:15 am is a magic number & insists on going out.  He does whatever it takes to get me out of a sound sleep.  Tiger doesn't want to go out until I get back in bed & then she starts her routine.  Cats just refuse to obey like a dog will, and I know they understand exactly what I'm saying.

Shirley, I should have read all of your post. We had two goldens here today, we are looking after the neighbours dog and cat for them. Rex fits right in here, he is family. Love him to pieces. Callie, the calico cat is so sweet, but I can't bring her here hubby is allergic so I go over and give her lots of love too. She likes to snuggle then gets her motor purring..so soothing that is.

To be honest, Amy, I am pretty sure the cats are MY serious allergy problems, but am determined to care for them as long as I can, when I can't, they will have to be put to sleep.  I won't let them suffer because we made them depend on us, ferals are not taken in by any agency here, even when babies.  Even though my sons have been in & out all their lives, the cats will hide from them yet.  Very sad.  Their mother (Callie, a calico) is much friendlier as long as I am standing near, will even rub up against a neighbor, but they tell me she runs if I'm not there.  The "kids" (they are 7 now) are so afraid of dogs I know I am just dreaming about having one as long as they are living.

Have to tell you about them purring... Tom purrs so loud you can hear him across the room.  Cas used to laugh at him and called it "humming".  They all get their motors running when I reach down to cuddle... they don't like to be held.  Tiger wants to sleep on my arm by my head, but Tom thinks the back of my leg is perfect & stretches out so I can't move.  Poor Mama Callie has to sleep in the garage because she wants to mark her territory & that is a problem!

Jack, that mum tree is different, again Mimi is posing like a model

Beautiful picture, Jack.

The mum tree is a rack for displaying the different colored mum.  It makes a nice exhibit.  With Mimi I simply say sit and then wait for the "smile"

Amy

Shirley, my husband also has allergies , he found out he was allergic to a lot of things and dogs/cats were amongst them. He walked out of the Dr office and said well it is the dogs and I said (jokingly) we are going to miss you!!! The folks in the office had a good laugh over that. There is no way he would part with his dogs...

Amy, I like your man.......I feel the same about the cats, they are mine until...........but I sure don't want any more!
Not sure this is the right size, keep trying.  This osprey stops to perch on this pole every spring & fall, fishes & moves on.

Great catch Shirley, only a few in our area and I have never spotted them.

Shirley

Thanks, Jack, that was full zoom with the 70.... the pole is 2 houses from mine.  A couple years ago I got a shot of it after it dropped down into the river right behind my house & came up with a fish about half as long as it's own body.  Wasn't real clear but I was tickled to catch it in action.  I resized with whatever is on this laptop... Windows 10.  I first picked the smallest size but it was tiny ... but this one looks too big.  We had snow last night & a hard freeze tonight... don't have the RV or pool ready for winter so holding my breath nothing breaks.  Got to wait until next week after I get back from the last "planned" trip.

Shirley it was over double the permitted size.  I resized it for you and sharpened.  I hope you don't mind.
It should be 700 or 800 px   on the longest size and not over 130 Kb

Joy

Great picture, Shirley.

Shirley

Thanks, Bubble, for fixing it.  I don't understand when I check "Properties" what everything means since using the PSP, I can see the length & width & all.  I am ready to throw in the towel when these "things" make changes.  Just this morning Yahoo mail came up with a new way of signing out.  Took me a while to figure how & then I checked the other Yahoo mailbox and had the same trouble.  What worked on one didn't work on the other so I just shut down!  Maybe a little short on patience?  :-[

Thanks, Joy... I do love being able to capture something so far away without changing lens. Something I wanted from the very first camera.  Now I have to learn how to resize to share.....

FlaJean

Wonderful shot, Shirley. Detail is so clear.

Lindancer

Shirley, that is some clear shot, out here on the end of the Island the lighting Co. Puts poles up with a platform on the for the osprey to nest
