Domestic Goddess: Is this correct, if one would like to post/share a recipe, we do so here?  If so, was searching to see if there were separate recipe categories?

Oglebay Park has herds of deer running loose and being fed by visitors.   I am several miles away but still see deer almost daily.  They ignore Mimi.  A neighbor feeds them and since I do not grow flowers I do not consider them pests but love to see them.

Guess I have to accept the fact there is little color this fall, and read the following on the weather channel.

Did a collage of past fall photos, shame nothing like it this year.

Jack, that is beautiful!!!
We didn't get the vibrant colours that we normally get here either...and yes it sure was hot!! Leaves are off a lot of trees with the Tamarac's ready to drop their needles soon. We know what comes after that!

Incredible color in that dahlia, Sato! So beautiful.  I wish I had a tuber or two of them  to plant in my garden!
And it has so many buds that will still be opening.

JaneS

SATO, you seem to have access to so many different kinds of flowers.  Are they yours or do you live near them?  At any rate, keep them coming!

Jack, a very nice collage of Oglebay's autumns!

Sato, you are indeed lucky to live amid and see such beautiful flowers and thank you for allowing us to see them through your lens.

Shirley

Jack, that is an amazing collage... so many colors!  All of a sudden we are seeing brilliant colors in trees around here & is such a treat.  We hardly saw any flowers this summer, my mums are starting to bloom but not many.  I cut off a lot to take to my parents graves (that I didn't get to deliver & until this moment, forgot they are still in the RV in a vase, covered with a plastic bag.)  I better go get them out, been in there a week tomorrow so doubt if they smell very good now...ick!  I will try to get some photos to share with you.

Sato, more gorgeous photos of extraordinary flowers. I agree with Jane & Patricia, you do find beauty where every you are.

I too like the flower, and also its name.  I wonder who named it and why it was so named. These photos are very sharp, make the flower vibrant.

jackwv

Sato all your flower photos have such detail and are a joy to view.

Great hat, Bubble!  I'll bet you're very well decorated for Halloween.  I have a large ceramic pumpkin and my son got it out for me yesterday.  I put it on a high stool and will light a candle in it on Halloween night.  I don't expect many Trick or Treaters, though, as our downtown merchants association sponsors Trick or Treat snacks on the main street across from Auburn University.  Lots of parents prefer taking their kids up there.  I'll have only 2 or 3 families who will "trick or treat" me--so I know I'll have leftover candy!

Do you expect little ghosts and goblins on Halloween?

Colored woods in Fall

Sato...
...now that is what I like to see, the colours of Autumn...now if only I was walking out amongst them...and with dogs by my side through those woods...I would be in pure heaven, once again...

Jack wv...
...I would also be just as happy and blest to do the same dog walk through your Oglebay, if only for the colours...

Sato, our autumn colors this year, so far, have been non-existent to dull due to the very wet and warm weather. Usually peak fall color is around mid-October, so I am enjoying your colorful Fall picture. Thank you!

JaneS

Oh Wow!   That's what I'm missing this year!  We have crisp and brrown but no color yet.  I did see two vees of geese fly over yesterday.  So I know it's Fall but I sure to miss the colors.  Thanks,  Sato.

And we are icy and expecting snow momentary, so Sato, such a lovely photo to see!

Joy

Oh Patricia !!!  I just hate to think of the thought of snow!   Hopefully, we have,  MAYBE, another month that we don't have any of that white stuff.  I used to like it when I was a lot younger, but just don't like even to see it falling anymore.  Let alone have to get out in it.  Which I don't really have to do anymore.  If I have an appointment scheduled,  I surely will cancel.  I have enough trouble walking in good weather........sure not going to chance going out in bad weather like that.

I always feel bad for people who have to work out in it.  All 3 of my sons love to ski,  so they enjoy being out in it.

Have a good Sunday.

Sato now that is a great fall photo, sorry we do not have the color this fall.

angelface555

I know what you mean about falling. I've upgraded to a Lifeline MedicAlert, the size of those old style transistor radios that makes me want to hold it up and mutter "Beam me up, Scotty." I'm also looking for a staff, (not a cane); with a spike on the end for winter walking.

While there's been lots of severe weather pronouncement, so far not a snowflake to be seen. You have another month where generally our first snow appears around Halloween.

so_P_bubble

Sato, those colors are so bright that it looks artificial.  Unknown here :(

Sue, no Halloween in Israel, so no decoration.
That hat was used for our Purim festival when all dress up.

Patricia, would these be of any help to you?

https://www.amazon.ca/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=ice+grippers+for+shoes&tag=msncahydra-20&index=aps&hvadid=75385323374238&hvqmt=b&hvbmt=bb&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_50fq2m11pi_b

We also have these on the bottom of a walking stick/or cane.It is the  DMI5 prong.  and you can disengage it when you don't need the ice grip. We also have these on longer walking sticks when we go out for the mail.
