Domestic Goddess: Is this correct, if one would like to post/share a recipe, we do so here?  If so, was searching to see if there were separate recipe categories?

The photo was from June of this year.

...I forgot to mention the Lodge room decorated and ready for Christmas, how very inviting and cosy looking....

...Since I lost my three babies ( dogs ) Christmas will never be the same for me anymore...I got into a ritual, came downstairs to three happy to see me and tail wagging dogs, Christmas tree, and Christmas presents all on the table, or on the floor by the tree ( the wrapped dogs toys - food stuff ) was on the table as they could sniff the food out and would have ripped the packaging apart if it was left on the floor around the tree )  ;D ...oh if only I could have those days back again...you dont know how much you miss it until its gone.. :'(

Jackie,  I keep wanting to ask you how you have been feeling.  Do you still belong to any of the MS support groups that you had mentioned going to a long time ago?  I hope that you still are doing pretty well and able to get around ok.

Sending you some (((((((((hugs))))))))) !

Shirley, Norm and Dot had a lovely holly tree in front of their house in Florida.  One year, and one year only, we heard a whoosh and a pack of robins flew into the tree and demolished the berries.  When they left, another batch of robins flew in an finished what the first batch did not.  We stood there in awe!  As I said, never again.  Before they sold the place, they had the holly removed, I don't remember why.

Jack, that’s a lovely scene.  We haven’t done any Christmas decorating since we moved here in 2016, but we did finally unpack the Christmas decoration boxes.  I’ll do a little something after Thanksgiving.

Shirley

Mary Ann, years ago when camping at a lake in MO, I walked around the water edge & came to a tree absolutely full of the eastern bluebirds.... never saw anything like it.  I was too tired to go back for my camera & figured I'd go down early in the morning & take photos.  Next morning not a single bird in that tree, I was so disappointed.  We used have have a big pyracantha bush that robins would strip bare every year, until the first cat came to live with us. She was a hunter so they didn't eat the berries, ice broke the branches off & we finally cut it down.  I'll try to remember to take a photo of the holly tomorrow, the leaves are like a picture but no berries at all so far.  Had a lot of them this summer, crazy weather doing strange things.

Shirley, we had a beautiful pyracantha bush/tree where I worked so when I moved to this condo, I bought a plant.  I planted it on the north side of the building where there was space and it grew and one branch grew at the bottom and reached out to the sun.  The tree was very unsymmetrical!  I had that branch cut off and the rest of the bush has remained upright.  I have a few orange berries on it, but nothing like ours at work.  Of course that one was out in the open so not in constant shade.  I am the only one who appreciates the bush.  With the first hard frost, the berries will freeze and the beauty will be gone.

I have a garden problem anyway and not much I can do about it.  First, I can't do the gardening any more and Tom can't do it and he is not interesting in gardening.  Over the years I have planted small bulbs and other nostalgic plants that I guess only I appreciate.  My neighbor has been caring for my garden and I've tried to tell her what is there - things she cannot see because the bulbs foliage has died down.  It will be interesting come Spring to see what comes up - if it comes up.  I have some sort of "wort" but that is large enough it won't get dug up.  I have Star of Bethlehem bulbs where nothing shows.  I really want people to leave my garden alone but no one listens.  Tom will inherit this place and he won't do anything and I am trying to make it so it looks good but with ground cover - mostly myrtle.  'Taint easy"!

What a sweet puppy photo, Amy; She matched her bedding too! I know you will cherish these memories.

jackwv

Amy, love that photo, and then they develop that Golden Smile.  Remember the smiles!

Shirley

Oh, Amy, she was darling, probably the cutest pups of all.... guess that's why they use them so often in commercials.  Thanks, Bubble.

JaneS

She certainly is a sweetie!

Amy, what a cutie.  Goldens are cute at any stage, but especially as pups.

Thank you everyone...as Jack will  agree that Golden are so laid back. I could put her in a room filled with children and she would be in her glory.

I would assume that Buddy and Sassy were there to meet her...along with Rascal, Boots, Tyler, Trixie, Shep, Sheena, Nicky, and the list goes on. I just didn't name my dogs, the horses, cows and sheep got it too.....size]

Amy, I hope Golden Girl also met up with Cadence (Cadey), Tom's dog of about 20 years ago who also had to be put to sleep.  She and I were great friends and when I visited them, it was I who took her for her walks - she'd put her paw on my knee to let me know she wanted to go out.  We all miss her and she's been gone over 10 years.

Goldens are the best, as Jackwv will agree.

Gloria. years ago I went with my daughter to Dewey Beach Delaware.  We took My Jessie and in the evening would join other people with their dogs.  One couple from Baltimore, with two goldens were there celebrating their honey moon.  Now on my trip to the ocean when we married 1956, we did not have pets at the time.  But assure you that I had a smile on my face. :)

Jack, there I was innocently browsing through the replies when you surprised a laugh out of me!
