Oldiesmann: Finally got the AmazonBot situation under control. I basically changed some server settings to tell AmazonBot that it's not allowed to access anything on the site. That should fix the speed issues we've been experiencing lately

Let's all meet for a cup of English tea in that quaint tea room, Have our mini-bash there! That would be something!

Marilyne

Sounds like a great idea Bubble!  Most dreams never come true, but we all know each other well enough now, that we can imagine what the conversation would be like.  :)   Be sure to invite Don! (Radioman)

so_P_bubble

I am sure Don would love it, he has almost no contact with "outsiders" now and he was such a social person.

Bubble...
...i would have loved to have met them in Surrey but, i am now housebound and dealing with other personal and medical issues that are hitting me out of the blue...

so_P_bubble

Jackie, we are all getting to that point. If I go out it is for medical appointments, I haven't visited my daughter in years now because it requires too much effort and even with the wheelchair I fear falls. For Don it is the same, I wonder if he remembers when was the last time he was out in fresh air.
But we can dream... that is freely accessible, so come and join us!

In france it is very cold these days, below freezing temperatures. My cousin sent me a phto of her kitchen these days - with her 3 cats and 3 dogs.

Change of scenery:  at the market in Thailand - the delicatessen shop selling fried rats and fried insects on a stick - just like lollipops!

Change of scenery again:  Two statues in a touristic street in Jerusalem.
I wonder if they are the symbols of Isaac and Ishmael?

Bubble, again, some amazing photos, Lynn is growing, more a girl than a toddler, and good point regarding Isaac and Ishmael and the unending conflict.

Re the delicatessen shop in Thailand, no, thank you...

The desert of Judea on a winter morning

Thanks, Bubble. It's interesting to see a photo of a historical place that you've heard so much about.

For those of you who wondered what minus 41 looked like. These were taken about 11:50 this morning. The exhaust freezes and shows as smoke & those pigeons have to be extra hardy...

Marilyne

Oh my, those photos make me shiver! :yikes:  I start complaining when our temps drop into the +40's.

When the exhaust freezes, especially among multiple moving vehicles, it's called ice fog.

Ciaobella

Bubble, thank you for the pictures of Judea and Jerusalem.  My Bible study group had a Lenten season study with the video by Steve Ray called The Footprints of God a pilgrimage through the Holy Land.  Steve Ray is an expert pilgrimage guide, and producer of the award-winning Footprints of God DVD series that has been featured on EWTN and Netflix.

I was truly in awe watching those videos.  I have a few friends who have visited the Holy Land and the pictures they shared were amazing.  I can't imagine living in this place and seeing it daily.

I am praying for peace on earth.  Happy Hanukkah to you. Stupell-Industries-Happy-Hanukkah-Winter-Holiday-Festive-Menorah-Wood-Wall-Art.webp

Oh YUM!!!  Those donuts look so good!  Your sunset is gorgeous!  I tend to take a lot of pictures of sunsets & sunrises.  Here is one I took the other day as the sunset in Ohio.

OLM,  I say WOW!  That is one beautiful house!  I was picturing a little log cabin.  This is much more than that, and will be a comfortable house for you to move into, full time.  Hoping it will be finished by the end of next Summer, so you can move in.

OnLonelyMountain

Thank you Marilyne😊. Its just under 400 sq. Ft.. That's 2x the square footage I have in the RV. It seems like a palace after living in the RV for 9 month out of the year for the last 14 years.

MarsGal

I am glad I am not anywhere near the doughnut table, Bubble.

OLM, nice shot of Kato and your tiny house. I especially like that you have a classic Gambrel roof. Growing up in this area, I used to see and admire a number of lovely Dutch Colonial homes with traditional Gambrel roof and many with dormers. Lots of barns with a Gambrel roof too. They are probably still around, but have faded into the background or modified enough to make them less recognizable.
