Oldiesmann: Finally got the AmazonBot situation under control. I basically changed some server settings to tell AmazonBot that it's not allowed to access anything on the site. That should fix the speed issues we've been experiencing lately

Patricia, loved all your pictures, thanks. Farrah, is such a beautiful cat.

Sandy Fe, is growing so fast.

Still trying to put in another Christmas scene in, got it as far as desk top, guess I will have to wait till Rima comes over. to finish.

Right now I am trying to write, and Taffy is setting front of my PC, and talking.  I cannot see through her. :smitten:

Taffy enjoying her Christmas present.  Tried sending Christmas scene, but it was too big, and beyond the skill of my neighbor Rima

Jenny thanks, Mimi is a gem.

Gloria Taffy looks like she is having fun.

Mary Ann

Gloria, it's a good thing Taffy has a tail, otherwise it would be hard to know which end was up.  Cute cat, but aren't they all?

Annie bought Kendrick a laser beam and he is acting like he's above it all, but he'll come around.

Mary Ann

Taffy is really having fun with her presents!

Jeanne Lee

Gloria, if you send that Christmas scene photo to me I'll be glad to post it for you.  Don't worry about the size, I can take care of that from this end   ;)

Mary Ann, my son had a laser pointer that he let his son play with & their dog would chase until exhausted... but I was concerned about the dog's eyes with that laser & all these years later she is blind... probably just old age, but with all the warnings about the lasers & eyes, I still have doubts about using them with pets.  Maybe Kendrick realizes it might harm him.  I do know that when I used my green laser pointer on a spider that was building a web on my bedroom door, the spider dangled down it's web & was laying on the floor dead.  Made me feel bad & I do dislike spiders more than anything.

Taffy looks like she enjoys the toys.... only one of these 3 will play with anything and has not done it for months.  I think he was embarrassed because Tiger & Lauren looked at him like he was being silly.  They won't play with anything.  Lauren used to play with Cas ... she'd chase a string or outside he would cut off a plume from the tall Pampas grass & wiggle it along the ground & she would pounce on it for him.  I do believe she just did it to please him, she never would do it for me.

thanks JeanneLee for posting picture. Every year I say I am not going to set up my scene for Christmas. It is so much fun to set it up and it brings back such memories. Now taking it down is another story.

Joy and Jack, yes it is my happy memories of The Cape, and spending so much time there with my son Mark and his family. Linda my DIL still lives there.Mark built his home on Cape Cod, as it remained him of his home here on Long Island.

Gloria D, that is a very nice scene and thanks to Jeanne Lee for posting it for you.

Shirley, I have tried to not point the laser at Kendrick's face.  So far,  he has made a couple passes at it, but isn't too interested in it.  I'll try later today.

I got up later than usual, showered, dressed, ate breakfast then came to the computer.  Oh, I also added some recycle stuff to what we had out.  Our newsletter told us that trash and recycle pickup would be yesterday so many of us put out our stuff.  I felt it really should be today because of Christmas being on Sunday and it turned out I was right.  Recycle has been picked up by now because I heard the truck.  We will have the same things next week for New Years Day - our pickup will be the following Saturday instead of the usual Friday.

Good morning Mary Ann and all my other friends. Cloudy morning, less wind then yesterday

As I wrote in another post, Taffy, love to try to catch the beam from the flash light.

Surprised , our garbage men  came last Monday, so I will put my pail out this week.  I also have a doctors appointment Monday.

Mary Ann, my regular trash day is Monday, but during holidays like Christmas, New Years, M.L. King birthday, etc., it is picked up on Tuesday.  When we had Christmas Eve breakfast at my house, I always wished they'd pick it up earlier.  Lots of paper, boxes, etc. from family gifts.  This year we went to Kris's parents on Christmas Eve, so I didn't have much trash here.

Gloria, what a nice Christmas display.  We moved here in March and my Christmas houses are still packed in boxes in the garage.  Maybe I'll get some of them out next year.  I really like your display.

That is a really nice Christmas village, Gloria!

Happy New Year!

I celebrated the splendid New Year with my husband.
Be a good year this year.

Camellia sasanqua bloomed so much in my garden.
This was the first time that it bloomed so a lot, and I became glad and asked my husband to take a photo.

SACHIKO....

Happy New Year to All ~

Sachiko, you certainly do look nice and your camellias are gorgeous... do hope that you will feel like your "old" self and be able to hike and take photos to share with us.

Sato, I hope 2017 will bring you good health and a chance to go out on your walks again.  I know it does take quite a while to build the muscles back after an illness, keep working on them!

Bubble, I know Don is counting the days, don't forget to take lots of pictures of the happy reunion!  This really is a joyous time for all of us, thanks for sharing it.

Joy, I still haven't gotten hold of Bobbie but plan to try to call again after life settles down.  Got a week full of cleaning house & putting Christmas decorations away before my brain can rest.

Jack, I'm anxious to hear how Mimi felt about your whole family, was she at all jealous of sharing you or did she just fit right in?   My heart smiles to think you and she found each other at this point in both your lives.

Jackie, I had very surprising & encouraging news about my old friend that was diagnosed with extreme dementia recently & given 6 months.  The doctors have continued to run more tests after putting him in the most protected ward of care.... his daughter explained that all were concerned that he had "nobody to talk to that could carry on a conversation".  They have re-diagnosed and moved him to assisted living for now, where he not only will have more freedom but people he can relate to.  When I talked to him a week or so ago his mind was still as clear as a bell.  Needless to say, I am pleased for him.

Since my youngest son has a friend that spent at least 20 years with diagnosed MS and was totally removed from that diagnoses a few years ago, and my own good friend's daughter in another state diagnosed with MS but in the years since has never shown any worse symptoms, I will keep hoping your doctors find a way to improve your condition.  (((hugs)))

As everyone must know by now, I am the original "Pollyanna" and truly do look for something good in every single part of my life and days..
.. Here's to a Fantastic 2017!!!

Mary Ann

Happy New Year to everyone.

I am especially happy to see posts from both Sachiko and Sato.  I hope both of you have much better health in 2017.

Dot and I went to church this morning but did not have breakfast out because Mr Burger was closed for the holiday.  I came home and when Tom woke up, he and I went to I-Hop for our breakfast.  He is napping now and I may head that way soon.
