Sachiko, Sato.  Well all ready a good start of the year. Getting you both back posting. You are looking so well. Some weight back on.
Glad you had a Nice New Years.
That bush is beautiful. You wore your Jumper to match your Bush. My favourite colour.
Wish I had something like it to gaze on here right now.  Every thing dead in my yard. Just a mess from the bad weather.
You both keep continuing  to keep up improving health. Wishing that for all in S and F.

Sato, so good to see you are looking in.  Hope for improvement in you health and will welcome your posts and photos.

Beautiful day today, mid 40's and sunshine.  Football on today so went up early to the park for our walk.   I posted a short video in that discussion.  I was able to use my old Kodak printer to take a screen shot from the video.  Here is Mimi, off leash.  I always make sure no wild life around and she listens so well.

JeanneP

Jack. I wonder how Mimi got all that training.  didn't you say that the lady was a Breeder but she has to have been a family dog.  You were so lucky to find her.
JeanneP

JeanneP   the breeder kept all her dogs on her property.  Mimi was trained in agility and at one time was even a dock dog.  (running and jumping into water to catch an object.}  She also had obedience training.

FlaJean

Jack, she sure is a pretty girl.  To my eyes, Mimi looks a bit smaller than Jessie, it is probably me just thinking that from her pose in the photo.  2017 has started very quietly for us.

Thank you very very much for your gentle comments. But, I'm sorry that thanks is late because I have to do variously in Japanese New Year's.
I'll also take many photos and post them here now.

Lindancer

Jack, Mimi is such a beautiful dog, you were so lucky to find her.

Jack, Mimi is very pretty! I would like to have such a dog, too.

jackwv

Jean with age Jessie put on some additional weight.  Mimi is about the same as Jessie was at her age of 8.  Jessie had the feathers I liked but with them trimmed on Mimi there is very little need for grooming.

Gloria, thanks and while I like the appearance of Goldens it is their way with people that impresses.

Sachiko I had noted in the slide show discussion that I saw a video on how popular dogs have become as pets. Most I saw in the video were small.  Do not know if your friends may have them but there are breeds suggested that are companions and low energy.

Junee, lovely and what a wonderful Christmas memory!

so_P_bubble

Great to meet you and the family Junee :)

junee

Jeanne Lee, many thanks for posting the photo.  It was a nice thought of my Grandson to take this photo as the four of us don't get together very often when school and work are in progress. Thank you all for those nice greetings..I do know you all.
Best Wishes to everyone for The New Year and above all Good health.  junee

FlaJean

What a lovely family picture, Junee.

Shirley

Jack, that is a gorgeous photo of Mimi..... no question she is special & regal.  Great that she had all the training before she came to live with you, but I still say she is lucky to have all the love you give her.

Junee, I agree with Jackie that your smiles are so alike.  We work hard at getting a family group photo every year, not the year Cas died, but before and since.  It is my favorite thing that they can do for me.  I don't have a photo of my 4 generations but think it is time since my oldest great is nearly 7 now.  None of my grands look at all like me but one great grand does remind everyone of me... she is SO ornery.   ;)  Thanks for sharing your photo, you all look fantastic!

Shirley

Here's my family group taken the Sunday before Thanksgiving 2016.  One day later Sarah gave birth to a little boy, my 6th great grandchild.

Joy

Oh Shirley, what a great looking family.  I am so glad you put the names on each one.  Not that I know any of them, but it is nice to be able to put a name with a face.   That is a wonderful picture and I know you treasure it.

BIG BOX

Beverly

I have finally caught up on all the photos.........A VERY belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

December was a busy and stressful month for me. The day after we arrived home from Aruba our granddaughter and her family arrived to spend the week!  My husband spent a couple of days in the hospital just before Christmas but all is well now. Our daughter, Donna, and her husband drove down from Vermont for Christmas.  Granddaughter, Erin, and her family were also here. Donna and Erin were a big help with Christmas dinner and clean up so we had a wonderful time. Those are just a few of the highlights!  :)

I won't try to comment on all the photos but have to say how happy I was to see that you and Mimi found each other, Jack!  She's just what you needed!

Junee - What a special photo of you and your "girls". That's one to treasure.

Also, nice to see you, Sachiko, looking so well with your beautiful camellias.

Sato - I hope you are doing well and will be able to post more in the new year.

May you all have a Happy and Healthy 2017!

Beverly

Shirley - That's a wonderful family photo! How lucky you are to have them all together. I also love that you have the names listed. I have an Evan (g-grandson). I see you have an Elisa. I have an Elise and a Lisa.  :)

angelface555

Shirley, that is a great family photo and it is also nice to see the names!

Did you see the Art Tutor link I left for you in the Soda Shop?

Mary Ann

Shirley, what a nice family picture.  Thanks for posting it.

SHIRLEY.....
....that is a chance in a million that you got so many family members together for that one special shot, and what a fantastic memento....Yes it took me a few seconds before it sank in that their names were attached to every member, as I was trying to figure out which young lady was looking heavily pregnant but, I eventually spotted her at the back in the blue stripes...... ;)

Shirley

I had a post nearly done when the phone rang & "so went the post".  Thank you all for the nice comments.  I do appreciate everyone's effort to get together once a year to make these pictures.  I always put names on to send my siblings e-mail & my brother-in-law a print, they don't see my family often enough to recognize them.  They haven't seen any of my grands or great-grands.  We took the kids when they were young & guess the last time my relatives saw my 3 was at my parents funerals.  Cas' brother didn't come when Cas died because Cas did not want any service, same as his mother requested. I kind of live in my own little world.

Patricia, I did check out your link & copied it to send my gr-daughter, thanks so much, really good one, thanks!  I guess I haven't gotten a post over in the Soda Shoppe... been a wild & crazy couple of months & am now trying to get caught up with "must-dos".

Finally got all Christmas decorations put away & now have the family room table filled with art stuff for gr-daughter. So far we spent 2 days "setting up", got the sketch on the canvas so next week will be full.

Took care of the driver's license renewal this week & soon as the new card gets back I must renew the conceal carry permit. That is quite an ordeal of needing paperwork to be notarized, money order, passport photo, etc..  Have a routine eye check in Jan & routine cardio check in Feb., birthdays in Jan & Feb so never a dull moment. Taking care of 4 cats is more trouble than 3 kids were.  Cats refuse to mind!

I'd better quit & get to bed, nearly midnight.  Thanks again for the comments about my gang... they are nice people, even if we weren't related.   :smitten:

You are right, Jackie, and she is the one wanting to learn to paint before she goes back to work.  She keeps in good shape, besides her job as engineer at one of the aircraft plants, she also teaches cheerleading or gymnastics at the local YMCA.... and now has 2 kids. They really are all such busy people & I am grateful they make the effort.

SHIRLEY....
....good morning, or good night....I thought it was you who took the photo, but its now I only noticed you sitting proudly in the front...I must be getting slow on the uptake, taking me time to spot things....getting slower spotting the obvious... :-[
