Oldiesmann: Relevant links can be found in topics in the Homemaking, Food & Garden board. I'll see about moving them over to articles here when I get a chance.

Oldiesmann: Found them. They're on the CP site: https://www.christianphotographers.com/recipes/recipeindex.html

Oldiesmann: I'm not finding anything related to recipes on the site. I'll do some digging through the Internet Archive and see if I can dig them up. It's possible that got lost in the big server crash back in 2016

Thank you Jack! I looked at both photos and that stare is both entense and mesmerizing.

Sue requested a photo of a train, and I know there are train lovers in here that might have a photo.  My father worked on the railroad, and we traveled on them, but never had a camera growing up.

Sue the best I can do is a clip from my video of the train exhibit at Oglebay.  Here it is, but lets still see about getting a photo of a real train.

I looked in all my files and don't even have one, not even a toy one :(

Jeanne Lee

Same here - not a single photo of any kind of train.  I know when we had a challenge "Transportation" there were several train entries but I guess those people must not be posting any more.

OK   Sue, we can wait or I will give you another choice. :)

so_P_bubble

Jack, give another choice, or we'' be stacked here.

What about showing a picture for choice as an option and asking for another photo on the same theme?  It could make it more interesting...

This is a photo of the train engine that pulls cars for people around the park. My father, a welder helped restore this former gold camp train engine for use at Alaskaland in 1967.

I don't know if a ball photo was done but here is a photo of my cat's toy with a ball inside.

Give me a photo of a kitchen utensil.

Hooray for Patricia - she found us a train photo.

But now, Patricia, what do you want to see next?

angelface555

I wanted to see a photo of a kitchen utensil.

I was holding off hoping to see more new folks posting.

jackwv

Have a drawer full of kitchen utensils I never use, including this one.

Now how about a photo of a place setting.

Marylyn  beautiful setting, beats my paper plates, but would be nervous cleaning them.

Left Photobucket and will not go back, have learned how to use the attachment feature below the post.

Bubble Aviv has sure grown.

Now lets see your cake request.

Marilyne

Jack - I tried the attachment under the post but I couldn't get it right.  I'll practice before I post another photo.

Bubble - a sweet newborn photo of Aviv!

FlaJean

Angel, great photo of the train.  Enjoying all the photos.  Hope someone comes up with the birthday cake.  Don't think I have one.

SCFSue

Angelface, thanks for your train picture.  It looks like a train that is run fairly often in our neighboring town, Opelika, Alabama.  They have a train in their town park that runs around the park--I've never ridden it, but it's very popular and we often see pictures of it in our local newspaper.  When I was growing up in West Virginia, our small town was a stop on a few local trains and every night about 11:30, a long distance train going to California stopped in Charleston, about 12 miles away.  My sisters and I knew we needed to get home before the train came by or we would be grounded!

Here in Auburn, I can hear long freight trains daily--at least 3 times and another often if I'm awake at night.  Our depot has closed and become a gourmet restaurant.  Students at the University here used to arrive and leave by train before so many began bringing cars to the campus.

Thanks, Sue and Jean for the nice comments. That train engine used to be in a gold camp where it would bring the ore from the mine to be processed. When we opened Alaskaland, it was for our centennial and the engine was brought from the abandoned camp and restored to pull cars for tourists and locals at the park.

Bubble I see Aviv has always been good looking! :)

CallieOK

Patricia,  your picture of the train sent me to my album of an Alaskan trip in June, 2004.
Quite a few pictures of Centennial Park, including a ride on the train, eating at the Alaskan Salmon Bake and seeing the Golden Heart Revue.
The last entries for Anchorage are the newspaper article and picture headlined "Wildfires Smoke Out Fairbanks".  The night before, I had taken a picture of the midnight sun through the smoke haze.

angelface555

You brought back a lot of memories for me Callie, thank you. Centennial Park was rebranded Alaskaland but is the same place with a few modifications. I'm glad you enjoyed your trip!
