Domestic Goddess: Is this correct, if one would like to post/share a recipe, we do so here?  If so, was searching to see if there were separate recipe categories?

St Peter Square at Christmas - Rome

Bubble a great group of photos.  Had to laugh at all the Santa's   One did not even cover up his own black beard.

I did not noticed that before, Jack, but I saw that one of them crossed his coat like a  a woman, right on left.

Mary Ann

I noticed none of those Santas had bellies like bowls full of jelly too.

The Santas were walking the streets for a rally in favor of remembering the children that were kidnapped.  There had been a few that year.

Nice photos, Bubbles.  It is lunch time here and all those Christmas goodies are making me hungry. ðŸŽ,,

Jack, did you post a video of Ave Maria?  I can't find it now and want to send it to my friend who drives me to Sunday School and Church.  For some reason I've lost it.  Would you send me a link to that video--and if you didn't post it, tell me who did?

Thanks,
Sue

Sue, sorry I do not recall posting it.  Lots of versions on YouTube. If you recall the performer it helps.

Jean that photo brought up a response.   Here is my daughters cat under their tree and then a photo of him giving the response.

Bubble, I loved the photos of the Barcelona market, especially the wine and fruit and candy--the meat not so much.  I eat meat, but not much as I prefer fruit and veggies.  Candy, too!  Once when my husband was deployed in the Mediterranean, he was able to take a week's leave in Barcelona and my mother-in-law came up from Alabama to Maine to stay with our 3 sons.  He and I had a great time in Madrid and Barcelona.  Gramma and boys, not so much!

Jack - I love the expression on the cats face! ;D   He looks genuinely annoyed, by the whole idea of Christmas!

Bubble,  My niece's daughter and her family are living in Germany for 3 years.  Her husband is in the service and they went over there in July.  They have 3 little girls, 3, 6 and 8.  My niece, her husband and another daughter went over to spend Christmas with them.  She has posted pictures of several German Christmas markets that they went to.  Looked like so much fun.  Father Christmas made an appearance while they were at one of them.  It looks like it is very cold with some snow yesterday.  The ones that are living there have tried to take the girls to someplace each week end.  Back in the fall, they took a train to Paris and I saw pictures of them, with the 3 girls, up in the Eifel Tower.  The two oldest ones go to a school on the military base, but I just feel like they will get more of an education by going to all these interesting places.  What an wonderful opportunity for them all.  There is a big castle right near where they live.  It gave me chills when I saw them up in the  Eifel Tower.  They were so excited.  They always take lots and lots of pictures, so at least the 2 oldest girls will have great memories of their time over there.

Thanks for sharing your market pictures.  Would so love to be able to go to a place like that.

WOW photos, all of them!  Bubble, your daughter with the big Santa looks like Santa has his hand on her shoulders.... I know it's his sleeve actually, but first glance is he's patting her on the back.  Great photos.  How did she get the photo from that angle of St.Peter's Square?  My daughter sent one from Hawaii that she explained later, "taken from a helicopter".  Love the shopping, one thing I enjoyed most when we lived in England.  "Peddlers" came to the small towns from London (I was told) & I still have my daughter's coat in the cedar chest, that I made to match one I made for myself.... of Harris tweed.  Fantastic wool~  tiny, she was 15-17 months old when we came home.  Thanks for the photos.

Jack, love that big cat, really a beauty.  Fluffy white feet & pretty markings.

I took down the decorations from outside, supposed to be bitter cold from tonight until next week, not to get above freezing & the chill index "in dangerous ranges".  Will put away tomorrow, lots of up & down steps but that doesn't hurt as bad as sitting too long.  Still have a very sore back end.  Bet I don't step back off a ladder again when up in the air.   :crazy2:

I will take camera down to the river to show you the ice, maybe not until Sunday or Monday when at it's worse.  The water under the ice is so swift it pushes slabs of ice up & over the bank, water level down this year so should be interesting.

FlaJean

jack, what a beautiful cat.  With all those presents under the tree, I bet there were plenty of “after Christmas decorations” there.

Bubble, enjoyed those photos!!
