Domestic Goddess: Is this correct, if one would like to post/share a recipe, we do so here?  If so, was searching to see if there were separate recipe categories?

The view from my front porch.  You can see a few clouds in front of the sunset sky colors.

so_P_bubble

Beautiful.  That looks like a very quiet street.

jackwv

Jean, Bubble is right, nice place to call home..

I posted this cloud photo, taken when leaving the park.  Liked it and have it on my desktop.  Worked out well with all the shortcuts on the dark tree trunk.

NitaH

Sunrise photo.  I notice many of my cloud/sky pictures have the same tree line. :)  That's because they are all taken from my back yard, looking eastward.  I need to get out more. :)

NitaH

Jack, that picture works perfect for your desktop. :)

Jean, I agree.  Your photos look very peaceful.  Is it nice in your neighborhood?

jackwv

Nita that is a beautiful sky, and from your back yard, wonderful!

FlaJean

All the cloud photos are so pretty.

It is a quiet neighborhood even though it is a mixed neighborhood with many young families.

Looks ominous but no trouble............

Donklan, the first looks like a giant sweep of the eraser.
The second reminds me of eyebrows with nose. Can you see the eye on the clear patch above the left side of the bridge?

Reading the clouds is fun.

jackwv

Don that first photo shows a really unusual but interesting cloud formation.  The second looks like smoke rising but guess it is just the separation of the lower white clouds.

MaryTX

The second one from living in "Tornado Alley", it looks like a tornado to me :).

Haha, Mary, you took the words right out of my mouth!  ("and that isn't very sanitary", as Red Skelton used to say....)  I've been to MO again for a family reunion, not too many of the older clan left and we are thrilled so many of the next generation came & some brought their young grands with them.  I am one tired old lady, not from the trip or driving, but hauling stuff in & out of the RV.  This time of year it's necessary to take all weather clothes, rain, maybe snow? or my worst fears, extreme hot weather.  So far I have not had the pleasure of waking up to crispy, cold enough to see your breath temps.... not even in the high country of Colorado at night, so was seriously thinking about one more trip to Missouri after the first freeze.

I did not take one photo with my camera this trip.  I did take some with the phone that I sent to my kids to let them see where I was.  The campground was full, trees losing leaves but not much color except for the sumac & I am never sure which of the plants are the poison ones... I have a site bookmarked to show the different types but they look too much alike for me to be sure.  Same with mushrooms & toadstools.

Love all the photos of the sunrises/sunsets, clouds & especially that lovable Mimi.  I would love to post one of my view from inside the RV but cannot get it off the phone.  I can send text with my phone & include the photo but still can't get it off the phone.  Every time I make the attempt to research how to from this Alcatel -Tracfone ... I get side tracked.

Still have not fed myself or Mama Callie.  They all slept outside last night & she likes to sleep later than Tom & Tiger.  They were at the back door waiting for breakfast when I got up a couple hours ago.... they ate & wanted back out to lay in the sun.  I have a routine Dr appointment this afternoon so a lazy morning for once.

I'll get back to playing with cameras, looks like a less than colorful fall this year but maybe we'll get some snow.  Lots of years we have had snow or ice over Halloween & that isn't far off. Thanks for keeping the place alive, I am still catching up ... will get control one of these days.  Shirley

By the way, anybody see Rick lately?  He used to pop in & out but haven't seen a post in here from him for a long time.

FlaJean

Donklan, interesting cloud photos.  The second one sure looked like a tornado coming.

jackwv

Had almost an inch of rain yesterday, and more coming this afternoon.  Never got to 60, but a bit of sunshine.  Took two photos, one of a favorite old tree next to the mansion, and the other a shot from the golf course of a chapel in the distance, and a bit of color. (again with clouds)

FlaJean

Liked your photos, Jack.  Monday night it rained all night but yesterday was beautiful and sunny and today the same.  It’s still too early here for ny color.

NitaH

I sure wish we had a "like" button. More beautiful photos.

so_P_bubble

Oh no NitaH, don't wish that: it is so much friendlier to read the comment or appreciation. :)
A reminder, we also have a card discussion for holidays and birthdays if you care to use it.

jackwv

Nita, Bubble is right (always is)   It is nice to read the comments.  You can add a  8) (for cool) or a thumbs up     Kidding but just pleased folks take the time to look and have never seen a negative comment in this discussion.

halkel

Jack I for one check here a couple of times a day and love the photo's but fail to tell the posters that many times.  Some are real eye candy.  And thanks to all of you.

jackwv

Hal thanks, I read several discussions and never post, just look in.

so_P_bubble

Hal, have you enjoyed the Halloween cards? More coming for the next 4 days!

https://www.seniorsandfriends.org/index.php?topic=80.msg106393#msg106393

halkel

Bubble, love the cards.  Usually go to my Granddaughters home and watch them give out candy, but since my surgery on my eye is Monday and Halloween is on Tuesday, not sure if I will make it.   She has invited us and is ordering Pizza.  Just have to see how I feel.

so_P_bubble

Hal, cataract? you will be OK the next day. You will just probably have to wear a patch or bandage on that eye and then drops 3 or 4 times a day.  It is worth it!
Take a picture: patch and wizard hat? lol

halkel

Good Morning Everyone!

Cant sleep, again.  So got up and turned on the computer

Bubble, the patch will come off the next day when i have a followup with the doctor.  I am already using antibiotic drops, started yesterday.

it is cold here this morning.  Heater has been on most of night and coming on pretty regularly.

Hope you all have a great day.

jackwv

Hal, if cataracts you will feel like the doctor is a Wizard.  Could not believe the immed. change when I had done.

MaryTX

Even removing one cataract, there is a definite change.  I starting to wear glasses at 4.  The next morning after the surgery, I was able to drive myself to the doctor without glasses.

jackwv

Mary, about the same with me.  Have one lazy eye, nothing helps. have worn glasses since 6. I drove to my daughters following Shirleys passing and had problems with night driving.  Called the doctor and he removed the cataract in my good eye.  When finished with the short procedure, I asked about precautions.  He said lift nothing over 100 pounds today and from then on go on with my life.  I was delighted with the results.  Several years later he removed the cataract from my bad eye, it helps with peripheral vision.

MaryTX

Jack, at my last visit my eye doctor suggested I have my right eye done also. As soon as I get my oxygen supplier problem straightened out, that will be next on my agenda.
