Buy a Mac. Not so many problems and the company is NICE!!! Microsoft could care less about the customer. They are in the right!

Mac does trials THEN when kinks are worked out they send out to customer. Microsoft uses their customer for their trials.

I am hearing rumors about a class action suit against Microsoft for their latest fiasco. The one that nailed me. OH! The CEO has not had the decency to reply to my letter.

Thank you Sue. I think Microsoft is anti people. Period. Unlike most companies that we have known they believe the customer is WRONG.

The thing I find interesting is that many companies have the same problem as I do re: automatic updates but they rely on another program to get around the problem. Wish we could all sue!   :tickedoff:

I would sue for loss of freedom, false entry into my space and theft of my personnel property.

I will for sure but don't hold your breath! CEO is worth  $6 BILLION. He will not give 2 hoots about my $139 or problem.

donklan, Thanks for the link re: updates for windows 10

Microsoft automatic update wiped out my computer. My tech says he has been doing a booming business because of this problem.

To give you a laugh: I sent a snail mail to Microsoft CEO claiming Elder abuse by Microsoft. I listed all the things that happened and I sent him the bill-- $139-- That got me back in almost business. I am tired of not having control of my computer. Theft is what it is.

I have been coming into Senior and Friends since Senior Net went kerfunk. But Microsoft wiped out my entry here- so I am stumbling about trying to find my way.

I will quit complaining! Thanks for listening tho!

Hi All. I have finally found my way back here. Microsoft did in my computer with their automatic 'updates'. I have a letter into the CEO of Microsoft. Doubt if he will reply. I claimed elder abuse by Microsoft  and asked for a remit of the cost to repair my computer. I really should claim theft as in mu=y opinion that is what Microsoft commits -they have no right to steal from me.  Lost all installed soft ware, photos,-more plus time and $$.

Show hasn't been on here yet.

I remember the south in the forties.  We had a black maid, Lee. My mother in trouble with the locals as she had a room with SHOWER built for Lee. Locals said my mother was coddling a black! My mother told them she wanted Lee clean as she cooked for us! That shut them up! I remember so much more!

Hi Ray. No things have not changed. Roosevelt w/girlfriend, Kennedy w/many girls, Clinton w/Monica-I think have extra martial is all part of the Presidency unfortunately.  Only thing different, Trump is not WDC  or party establishment so he gets nailed (for everything!)

I do hate tweets and Face book so I stay clear of all that mess.  Trump knows how to play the press!

Alert New scam:

This is pretty important to get to people with Medicare, their families, and friends or adult kids who help parents with Medicare
Have just gotten word about the newest Medicare scam from an organization I educate for, Texas Senior Medicare Patrol, a division within the Better Business Bureau.
Here's what you need to know to protect yourself, family and friends, throughout the US.
Starting  4/1/18  Medicare will start a year-long project to replace all current Medicare cards for beneficiaries to convert to alphanumeric ID numbers. Currently, the ID number is your social security number. This is starting to hit the media.
Scammers are opportunistic .
First of all the new Medicare card will come to you in the mail.  You don't need to request it or do anything. It will show up.

WHAT'S THE SCAM?
Somebody from "MEDICARE " will call to tell you-you are getting a new Medicare card. But until it comes you will need a temporary card. Fee for the card is between $5-50 dollars. They want personal information, bank account or credit card so they can process your temporary card.

THINGS TO REMEMBER
Medicare will never call you unless you ask them to.
Medicare does all communications by mail unless you ask them to call.
Ditto for anybody saying they "work with Medicare to make sure you get everything you are entitled to" .

Scammer   A lert
HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM THIS ONE?
First of all, spread the word. Feel free to share these notes.
Use your answering machine to screen calls or just don't even answer a number you don't recognize.
If it has happened to you or your friends or loved ones and personal info had been given out (happens considerably more often than you think so don't feel bad or stupid) immediately take action to protect yourself against identity
theft.

Barnum and Bailey circus is no more. Mother nature doesn't like a vacuum-void- so we are have the antics of WDC to fill the void to amuse, amaze and delight us.  :crazy2:

SCFSue, The topic is NFL and the kneeling players. I don't call kneeling free speech! I call it disrespect to our national anthem and our flag. Stadiums should be emptier! One goes to see a GAME and instead sees PLAYERS kneeling -playing politics instead of the game for which they get HUGE salaries! Boycott all the products these players represent.   :tickedoff:

It has now been reported that the OBAMA administration made manufacturing, using, buying, selling the "bump stocks" legal. That is the nasty the LV shooter used to turn his guns into really rapid fire.  So many dead and injured due to this ruling/law.

Bad guys on both sides is sure true. Both armed to the teeth. Driver is a flat out murderer.

I think those who would pull down statues/monuments are like the ISIS killers. That is what they have done!

1984  is upon us--rewriting history!!

Bannon is gone now.

periwinkle. Both parties need to shape up!! :tickedoff:

Trump needs to tweet less! Religious right needs to calm down-recede a bit.

Liberals need to get back on track. I will use this as an example of liberals going off the rails:

Heard on NPR several months ago-Seattle City Council made it against the law to use the term "brown bag" as it is racist!!

Basically my take on all of it:  Barnum Bailey Circus is no more. Nature hates a vacuum!  So we have politics filling the Circus departure vacuum! Awesome deviltry;
smoke and mirror; stunts; clowns  (buffoonery!); stunning displays of daring; general amusement! I am sure one could add more!   :-[

Thank you periwinkle. I see that you believe the Military (fed gov't) should pay for the transgender operations! Wow!  Yes there is some screaming from the far left who would have our forces not kept at tip top shape.

60 years ago your friend was accepted with bad teeth. Recruitment was in high gear as we had just come out or were we still in the Korean war--No I don't remember the dates maybe we were still involved but whatever. Things do change in 60 years! in 1957 I was accepted with a bad back. Not today though.

IMO if we have a transgender in the service let them be and for heavens sake lets let the head of the services decide-not the general public. I do not think this should be a political issue but the liberals have made it so.

The far liberal left have lost their party's reason for being hence their loss a t the last election.                    :2funny:.

Liberals-here is something for you to think about:

Best response I have seen in regards to the the negative feedback about transgenders being banned again from the military... From Sgt. Robert Brown US Army

Nobody has a "right" to serve in the Military.   Nobody!

What makes people think the Military is an equal opportunity employer?    Very far from it.

The Military uses prejudice regularly and consistently to deny citizens from joining for being too old or too young, too fat or too skinny, too tall or too short.

Citizens are denied for having flat feet, or for missing or additional fingers.   Poor eyesight will disqualify you, as well as bad teeth.   Malnourished?   Drug addiction?   Bad back?

Criminal history?    Low IQ?   Anxiety?    Phobias?   Hearing damage?   Hear voices in your head?    Self-identify as a Unicorn?   Need a special access ramp for your wheelchair?   Can't run the required course in the required time?   Can't do the required number of push ups ?

Not really a "morning person" and refuse to get out of bed before noon?

All can be reasons for denial.

The Military has one job.    War.    Anything else is a distraction and a liability.

Did someone just scream "That isn't Fair"?    War is VERY unfair, there are no exceptions made for being special or challenged or socially wonderful.

YOU change yourself to meet Military standards.   Not the other way around.

I say again:    You don't change the Military... you must change yourself.

The Military doesn't need to accommodate anyone with special issues.    The Military needs to Win Wars.

If any of your personal issues are a liability that detract from readiness or lethality... Thank you for applying and good luck in future endeavors.   Who's next in line?
In God We Trust

IMO, that counts for nothing: Liberals are trying their best to undermine any attempt at stability  or civility within government- heck within the country.

Sessions has a long history in WDC do you think that he would collude with our enemies? Liberals are inferring he is a traitor! Really!!

Obstruction of justice? Was there an obstruction? Please tell me where and when.

Did anyone see the nasty 'cartoon' by Mike Lester of the Washington Post on Saturday?  There is a man saying, " Honey, where's the Trump Assassination Fantasy Channel?"  Woman on the ground doing push ups says "which one?"

So civil! So unifying!

Liberals want to kill off anyone who disagrees with them. I have liberal friends and when it comes to politics they are obscene! I don't talk /discuss politics with them. We used to discuss issues but not since Hillary and Obama were on the scene.
