well we are home and wore out. all in all we had a good trip. I was tired when i came home but more tired getting this computer to go back on line, but is now I think.going to hit the sack soon and will see you all tomorrow. we pulled up and
Parked the RV in the drive and left the generator running to keep it all warm so we can take our time tomorrow un packing it. we woke up this morning with it raining , but it turned to snow. did not get slick and the traffic and salt soon had the highways clear. sweet dreams.

Yep Shirley that was with the phone.   I took the camera with me and never used it.  The weather was drab, and fall is over, so just took a few photos with the phone.  She has a lovely home and wanted me to get up to see it.  Great trip despite the weather.

Oh, YUM!  Jack, that is sinful looking!  To think when our kids were little & we would buy half a beef for the freezer, I'd have them put the steaks into hamburger meat.   Kids too lazy to chew, not any more!!!  I am not so "up town" as you, know the kids go to the fish & steak places where they cook while you watch & wait, but my dining out is more carry home eating.  Nice job with the photo, your phone?  Making my mouth water.......Bet the best part of the trip was being with that grand, right?

Marilyn, unless they're on sale, pot roasts are expensive.  Last time we got any, they were 2 for price of one so Tom bought two and we still have one in the freezer.

Many, many years ago, I was at the meat counter of my then grocery and they had a lovely looking rolled roast (don't see those any more) and it was twice the size I wanted.  I asked the butcher to cut it in half, which he did.  A woman beside me said "I'll take the other half" and I informed her I was taking both halves.  It was so long ago I don't remember how it tasted, but I am sure it was delicious.  My dad was still alive so it had to be more than 50 years ago!  I love pot roast with potatoes, carrots and onions - and gravy!  Needless to say, we don't have it often - and often invite Dot to join us.

I hope Sandy can find her way home tonight with her repaired headlights.
