Guess we can put ray into the Hillary column.

Ray thinks that if we disagree with Democrats we hate them. No! I do feel sorry for them as they have not at this point listened to their quaisi leader! They really are sick!   :-*

Got to be pretty stupid I would say for the smartest and most qualified woman in the world to be President.   ::)   Well that is what Obama and his wife say.

Hal, most of America doesn't really care. There are so many that are just "ME..ME..ME..what can I get out of it ? Love my neighbor ? I don't even know his name!. It's every man for himself !" I applaud you Hal, to care enough to try to keep people thinking. I wish there were more Americans just like you.

Good Morning June and everyone else who happens by.

Yes June I watched the whole thing.  And IMO Trump won the debate hands down.  I thought he did good EXCEPT how he answered the question about Pence and is answer on how to handle Syria.  I thought he could have been a bit more diplomatic in his answer.  Hopefully it wont cause too much friction between Trump and Pence.

I think Trump finally got a lot of stuff out in the open that has been in the undercurrent about him and the Clinton campaign.  Bill Clinton's conduct as well as Hillary's needed to brought out.  Now I wish Trump would expand on how much money they have made on their "speeches" to "select" groups and how she sold her office and standing to many foreign "donors" to the so called "Clinton Foundation".

I think Trumps apology about his "locker room" talk was sincere.  His comments were made some 11 years ago, and they were just that: comments, not actions such as what the Clinton's did.  Actually sexually assault women and then attack them in other ways to ruin their reputation.  And Hillary was right in the middle of it, as well as a well known TV "newsperson" ABC's George Stephanopoulos who for all practical purposes is still part of the Clinton campaign.  He run the Clinton bimbo war room while working at the White House.

I think Hillary got hit several times where it really hurt.  I know it registered in her face and she fell back on her talking points and her usual laugh, big fake smile and accusations of Trump lying.  She is good at that.

I think much of what was started last night is far from being over and we will see much more of it.  Language seems to be critical of only one side, like what Hillarys side tweeted out was noted by some, but mostly ignored, where if Trump had done it......whoa.......Katie bar the door.

I wonder, has Trumps actions changed any minds on this forum, one way or the other.

halkel

As an aside.  Isn't it strange how the Republicans in Washington are running around in circles trying to figure out what to do with Donald Trump?  And didn't even try to stop, impede or otherwise bother Obama in his agenda nor or they doing anything now to slow/stop him from importing every "so called" refugee he can stuff into the United States.

Again, in my opinion, I think most of the leadership in the Republican party in D.C. are scare to death that Trump is going to be elected and he will show them for what they are, a bunch of free loaders, who want to maintain the status quo where they live the good life, hang the rest of us.

Our country is beginning to look a lot like Russia and some of the Latin American countries.  Look what the "elite" can get away with versus what others would go to jail for.  Trump must have scared the fire out of Hillary last night when he publicly told her that if he is elected she was going to be investigated again by a special prosecutor and she knows that he will push it to the limits.

I also like the answer Trump gave about the Supreme Court picks.  He wanted Justices that would uphold the Constitution.   Yeah..........  Hillary's answer, typical Liberal dribble.  Feel good stuff.  She would appoint someone who feels your pain sort of thing.

June Drabek

Thank you Hal, I appreciate you for sharing your thoughts, and I heartily agree with all you said.  Hillary pulls out this big toothy smirk of a smile, one that denigrates the person she is hearing. It's about all she has. I truly wonder how she can sleep at night, must be she has no conscience whatsoever.

As far as Trump groping....I am confident it was all "big boy bragging". Most men would have those thoughts, but not carry out the actions. And the way some women dress, they are almost inviting a "grope". Even our newscasters, their cleavage is rather insulting to thinking individuals. But the democrats are digging deep to cause more dissension in the thinking public.
It is very discouraging to find so many that can be swayed by low gossip. People don't absorb the fact that Trump is a self-made man. His wisdom has brought him his fortune, not cheating and lying for monetary gain. I am not a wise woman in the way of politics, but it is easy to read intentions of some folks.
As long as we are here, let's dance.

People who live in glass houses..........

Hillary and the art of the dirty mouth

...snip.....
Nobody cultivates a dirtier mouth than Hillary Clinton. It’s difficult to describe Hillary in full because a decent regard for the gentle reader forbids it. Any teamster, cop, or Secret Service agent assigned to Hillary duty has to put his hands over his ears even to think about it.

Several authors, notably Ronald Kessler, formerly of The Washington Post, have written about Hillary’s tense and often explosive relationship with the Secret Service. The slightest inconvenience, real or imagined, could detonate the virago’s fiery temper. Hillary is regarded as the all-time undisputed least favorite assignment in the Secret Service. Joe Biden is second-least favorite, particularly by female agents. Good ol’ Joe apparently likes to walk around without clothes when and where he can, being proud of his male endowment, and sometimes teases the female agents about it.

Shirley

I haven't been in this discussion since the 2000 election.  I tried to explain then that "I'm not a party person".... my vote is always based on the person running and all the folks that tag along to help make choices.  A 4th grade teacher convinced me that "Party" organizers/managers or what ever you want to call the people in the back ground, make decisions on every aspect of who runs & who makes the rules.  WE don't vote for these people, most cases we don't even know their names or anything about them, but we let them run our lives. I have registered as a Democrat, Republican & Independent ... when it was necessary, to vote in a primary election.  My favorite trait is a person that is strong enough to so their own thinking.

Sadly, this year we see "the party" doing everything in their power to get Trump off the ticket, both Parties are willing to do whatever it takes to keep control of all that money & power.  Shame on them but shame on us for not believing these people are making a living (a good living) on OUR willingness to blindly follow their dictates.  Does anyone honestly believe that The Party hasn't pressed loyal members to denounce Trump, maybe it is more of a threat "if the member ever wants the backing of the Party again".  How pathetic it is to see people we thought of as strong turn into mousey little parrots as they back away from Trump.

I have lost complete respect for one family that announced they won't vote for Trump, I call it sour grapes since Jebby boy didn't get the nomination.  I thought both of the Bush wives were outstanding, strong First Ladies but am disappointed they are not strong enough to vote for a man that nobody owns.   Paul Ryan is another sore loser with hopes of getting points in with the powerful "Party" leaders, you think?

I would not vote for Hillary...not if she was the last person on earth willing to run.  She is everything I dislike in a female and nothing she does now can change that opinion.  She is the last person I would want as a role model for my daughter, gr-daughters and great gr-daughters. My reason for backing Trump is simply that he is what he is and not letting anyone turn him into a Charlie McCarthy puppet.  Nobody owns him and nobody controls him.  If we all didn't have a little rebel in us our ancestors would have stayed in their homeland.  The laws put into making this democracy work were made for each of us, no exceptions.  We have seen some serious flaunting of laws during the past years and our country is going down hill because of it.

Locker room talk.  Are you kidding that we haven't heard this kind of talk before, and not just in the locker room.  Boys have been bragging about their conquests my whole life (and I will soon be 82 years old). Usually the truth is that the girls have thrown themselves at those guys but let the guys think it was their idea.   These braggers enjoy their fantacies while men like Bill Clinton are rolling in the mud with anyone that is willing to play with them/him.  We have a blue dress in the Smithsonian to advertise the extent that one president was willing to go to.  Words against actions?  Pa-leeze~

Having 3 older brothers I realized very young that boys/men use a totally different demeanor depending on their surroundings and what they thought the people they were trying to impress expected and respected.  In other words, "when in Rome.....".  How funny it would be to watch the responses or the language leading up to the quotes in an interview.  Sure, funny~

I am sorry we don't have a better choice of contenders, but who in their right mind would want to have the Party People (on both sides) digging into their background to drag up anything that can be twisted to sound sordid.  I realize that the Press did not publish the sleezy happenings in the old days and want to feel free to print facts that turned up many years later.  Wonder what was paid for a years old interview of a tape just released.

One thing that hasn't been brought up is the fact that Hillary used Bill to get to the White House, I have no doubt she was the brains & he the smoozer.  My opinion is the same for the present President of the US.... she has the brains & he the smoozer, difference is I do think the Obamas  have higher morals.  Any doubt that Michelle will run for the office in 8 years?  Wonder who will be around to pay off the debts that mound up with their spending.  I wonder what percentage of the American population is paying the way, what percentage is living off tax payers either with a political job or welfare, or has a job paid by the city, county, state or Federal government.

What is not being talked about is that Socialism calls for a period of Dictatorship because there comes a time when "the masses" refuse to work, like so many today, they prefer to let the worker ants take care of them.  The same 4th grade history teacher that explained the world of the '40s also did a thorough job of explaining the various types of Governments, that most Americans thought of our country being more Socialist because we fed the hungry and took care of those in need.  I remember the class gasping as she went on to explain about Capitalism and the difference of our freedoms.  I'll take making my own choices any day, and I don't want to sit at the top making choices for the "masses" of human flesh wanting to be taken care of.

I have one gr-daughter being swayed by "talk".... but has not done her own research.  All I can say is that one day she will be one paying the debts and wondering how it happened.  We are not teaching all sides of the situation in schools so the kids listen to anyone that comes to yell about how evil & greedy we, the older generation, have been.  Who do they think built the hospitals, the highways, the schools, not with spare cash but willing to do without for the future.  The young today want their dessert first, the families, new homes, vacations and luxuries we are not going to ever realize because taxes are eating away our savings.

So this is my one time post about politics.  I don't expect this is everyone's opinion and I've slept on it before posting, I really don't like taking stands against friends.  I have one long time friend that declared "Hillary is his girl".... and manages to sneak in digs every time we talk.  I very sweetly remind him that "when he goes to vote just know that I canceled his out".  Every Vote Counts!

halkel

Shirley, an outstanding post.  You said it better than anyone, including me...... ::)   ;D    All joking aside, I have never heard it better explained.

Dirty talk, vulgar talk and being offended.  Have any of you ever listen to the left leaning rap "stars" and their lyrics.  They make Trump look like a little boy just learning. And these dudes are invited to every Democratic function.

Shirley

Well, thank you Hal.  I posted & stepped over to lay down on the bed to rest my eyes & went sound asleep..... it is now 2:16 pm & I just woke up..... too late to delete/modify.... so I'll have to live with my big mouth!   ::)  I really am not comfortable with going on about politics, religion or controversial topics, only with MY choices for myself.  This has been building up for a long time & guess was relaxing to let it all out.  I am going to stick my head in the sand & stay away from politics, it does a number on my BP.  I am happy to turn it all over to the rest of you to solve the world problems!

halkel

You are quite welcome Tisie.

I, as you know, used to post quite frequently in "politics"  and still do to some extent.  Many took exception to the articles (links) and some of my comments.  And I suspect many consider me a mean, uncaring person on some of the things I have posted and commented on.  So be it.

Having serve 20+ years in the military I have no desire to see our country destroyed by our own politicians and their personal agenda's, greed and thirst for power.  I also don't want our culture changed by "so called "refugees"".  Nor our basic religion wiped out by a political religion that has it's own laws that are completely alien to not only our religion but to our constitution.

Although I know that some on this board will vote for Hillary, simply because she is a woman and ignore all of her indiscretions and traitorous acts she has committed.   Although they will be the first to find fault in Trump for calling a spade a spade.  He tells it like it is.

I sounded the alarm on Obama some 8 years ago and all I said has come about.  Including violating our constitution in just about every way possible.
He has corrupted ever federal agency up to and including our CIA and FBI, our Justice Department and IRS.  And if Hillary is elected, God Help America, never mind Bless her.

June Drabek

Shirley, I too applaud you for posting the truth as some of us see it. I have admired you for some years Tisie. You are a brave, conscientious woman, plus animal lover, which we need more of in this world. Thank you so much for giving us your thoughts and feelings. I wish more people read this column, and heard what you wrote. Hugs, girl. June

Thank you for the kind words, June, I know I am opinionated so try to not get involved.  Not a good thing this year when the differences are so pronounced.  I am a chicken at heart.

Hal, you've served our country and have a right to defend it orally now, nobody has a better right, especially as many of the politicians never served in any danger zone.  One time a smart mouthed young man my age made a crack about Cas getting a free ride to college so I explained to him (he didn't serve) that "it was just past payment for the loss of salary he earned before he went in & served 4 years, his duty pay wan't nearly what he earned before nor what he was receiving under the GI Bill".  He never made a crack again.   Cas served 4 years active & 4 inactive Reserves.  We were sweating it out during the Cuban Missle Crisis.... he hadn't gotten his final discharge papers & they were past due.  A fire at the storage place in MO, they tracked down his files & we received the flag when he died, something we all treasure.

Rutumi, I don't know anything about you, are you an American transplant?  I know you are a fantastic photographer and love how different you see "normal" things to come up with unusual/original photos.

Like I said at first, I haven't been in here since the 2000 election & was scared to come back.  I did meet a very nice lady from CA at that time & we have e-mailed ever since.  I am concerned about her because I sent her a long Happy Birthday message Oct.4 and have not heard from her since.  Usually we catch up a few times a year but both are busy growing old so just a note from each until the months later.

I am relieved that my computer didn't blow up & nobody got angry with my long post.  I am going to keep my word & shut up now.  Thank you all for letting me voice my opinions.

Yep, and he is still doing things.  Like attempting to put the energy business out of business.  He has corrupted every federal agency, he has put about half our labor force on unemployment and food stamps. (...the labor force participation rate has deteriorated over Obama's two terms.) GDP  (President Obamaâ€"who was inaugurated in January 2009 and will leave office in January 2017â€"has not yet seen a year in which real GDP grew by as much as 3.0 percent.) Health cost under Obama  (Courtesy of the Affordable Care Act, public spending is outpacing private spending. For 2015) Student loans: Obama placed all student loans under the federal government.  Since he has taken office When TICAS began recording student loan burdens among students at the time of graduation in 2004, the average was $18,550. Since then, it’s increased by 56 percent, more than double the inflation rate of 25 percent.

I could go on and on and trash everyone of the so called eyewash things cited in your link.

Obama and his administration can claim any credit for anything during his seven plus years.  If they could you think Hillary wouldn't be harping on it.  And her record at State was even worst.
