Thank you so much Rutumi,
for taking the time to explain all of the good that
President Obama has done for our country.

I appreciate your time and effort....

You are a better person than I am,  for I
have given up participating in this political
forum mainly because of the pure hatred and
callous rhetoric  that the majority here
now feel for  President Obama and his
Wife Michelle.

It will not be long before we will have a new
President,  but I feel that the vicious
slandering of her will continue,  so I refuse
to be a part of it.

You have done your home work and you
have done a great job.      It is
refreshing for me to come in here and
read your  posts.
:wave2:

Again Thank You Rutumi !

Why Barack Obama Is a Classic Underachiever

...snip...
To deflect criticism for his underachieving recovery, the president wants people to get angry - angry at the system, at the GOP, at the wealthy â€" at anyone but him. That’s why, instead of pledging to work with employers to boost hiring or with investors to create vehicles for new infrastructure, the president suggests that those struggling to get by are somehow victims of discrimination, an un-level playing field, a rigged system. Maybe, they are instead victims of Obama’s failed policies.

To whom it may concern:

No, I didn't Google -- a friend in Norway, where I live, sent me the URL. And yes, I am an American (I can show my birth certificate -- if I can find out were I put it), and yes, I will be voting. Have done so in every major election. And, yes, I think Donald is a disaster. Also, I do not think Hillary is the complete answer to America's needs right now, but definitely a better choice.

I am afraid the earth can't take much more of our fracking and continued use of oil and coal as if nothing is happening, destruction of rain forests and other major changes to the environment, warring and fighting, and hate, and and....  "Stop the world, I want to get off," or something like that, was a play?
But there is nowhere to go. We have to do the best we can to leave something for our grand kids.

I recently read a book by Kurt Vonnegut (Slapstick, from 1976). It actually gives a good picture of what the U.S.A. could turn out sometime int he future. Scary.

Well, good night, sleep well.

Good Morning rutumi.  Hope your day has been going well.  Kinda interesting to converse with an ex patriot, although I gave serious thought at one time of becoming one myself, my wife is born/raised in England and of course has a ton of relations still in Jolly Old England.  Glad I didn't now, the expense of living there is sky high and my retirement would even start to cover the same standard I enjoy here in Texas

I noticed in your original post you spoke of a "scary performance" you watched on TV, I assume you are speaking of a Trump speech.  What did you find "scary".  Also I was wondering do you find these "ladies" now coming forward credible in their accusations?   Also maybe you could explain the following article, the differences.

http://www.mcclatchydc.com/news/politics-government/election/article108304112.html

I suppose the snow will be flying in your part of the world before long.  How long have you lived over there?  When in the Air Force I had always hoped to be stationed in Norway with NATO, but not to be.  Got Turkey instead, not exactly Norway..... ;D

And........

HERE IT IS=> List of Debunked Groper Allegations by Corrupt Media Against Donald Trump

snip.....
The Democrat-media complex carpet bombed Donald Trump with several alleged groping stories this week from several women.

The media clearly did not fact check these stories. They ran the stories no matter how farfetched they were. It is clear from the number of stories dropped in the last week that this was a coordinated effort, probably from inside the Hillary Clinton campaign. The goal was not to present facts to the public. Their goal was to destroy Donald Trump.

In 2008 the Democrat media hit Republican John McCain with similar allegations. Vicki Iseman, the woman named in the hit piece, settled with The New York Times after the election.

So, it is clear that this is a commonly used tactic by Democrats â€" use the media to slander and destroy their opposition before the election.
