Sorry you didn't get it.  Fran obviously didn't either and he is an educator. My point, God and his teachings have been a part of our government from the beginning.  You and Fran may not like that fact, but it still exist.

My father was a retail store manage for 33 years and he thought retail people worked to many holidays.   His store never opened on Sundays.

I am becoming increasingly impatient with all the nonsense about more religion being needed in government, when really worrisome things - much more deserving of our attention - are taking place right before our unbelieving eyes.

I just read that the rule preventing coal run-off being poured into our streams and rivers has been canceled.

Can someone please explain to me how that benefits the public?

Hal, the ten commandments do not belong in or near government
property and buildings.  A Georgia Supreme Court judge lost
his job for his refusal to take down his 10 commandments
monument.  What does that tell you?

I refuse to say the pledge the way is now written.  This nation is not
under any god, until some  Christian legislator listened to some
fanatical preacher.

(1) What is funny about impatience?

And what does one call those ugly little animations you keep using when rational words and thought fail you?

As predicted, I don't feel particularly welcomed by the parties I found here several days ago - shown contempt by one, ignored by the other. A not entirely surprising disappointment.

(2) Are you making a joke or stating a fact when you say you are sure Trump "just wants to poison the citizens"? Because that is ultimately what might happen.

But, to answer your answer to my answer: I don't care what he WANTS but I sure do care what he DOES. And poisoning the nation's waterways is something no authority should allow.

But what does legalization of river water pollution have to do with abortion? How do the two issues connect?

(3) Which version of the Ten Commandments should we adopt into our government?

(4) That was your idea of a HOOT?

Laurel and Hardy were a hoot. Burns and Allen were a hoot. Abbott and Costello and the Smothers Brothers were a hoot.

There are many, many nouns and adjectives that could be applied to that performance but there wasn't anything remotely amusing about it.

Still, I understand it was well received in Trump Country.

You may form your own opinions and ignore the facts, such as what version of the 10 commandments would I use, without any citation that there are two versions.

You didn't do anything dire to me, so don't give it another thought.

My "two cents worth". The Ten Commandments were Biblical and that is the only version I accept. At my ancient age, I still prefer the Thee's and Thou's that I read. Like the words in an old song, there is beauty in them.

There are two versions of the Ten Commandments in the Bible. 

I don't care much for the archaic English. Too scant for my taste. Makes it hard to understand.

By the way, did you know that the old King James era English is closer to modern German than it is to modern English?

I am not a conspiracy nut but a friend who I trust completely sent me this and then I saw the source: Fox News and Lou Dobbs, both I consider very reliable.  This is scary but considering who is behind this, Obama and no doubt in my mind George Soros, I would give this report a lot of credence.

Yeah Dig, we suffered no damage here at my house.  Damage was some ways us.  But it appears it did a number on many homes.  I do swear that I did hear it pass over this area.  But thought it was my imagination.  Thankfully no deaths have been reported, I am aware of.

Hal, we have lost the freedom of religion and we will find
taxpayer money paying for religious schools--Christian
centered of course.

Wait and see how many foreign students no longer spend their
money in our schools, particularly after the shooting of Indian
students in a hate crime.  Trumps hateful anti speeches
against other cultures and religions begin to take hold.

Looks like imports and exports to Mexico, particularly Texas
will start to affect economies.

No matter the facts, lies become truths in our country.  Blame
it on the media.
