Amen to that, Periwinkle!

SCFSue

halkel

Well Periwinkle you topped even yourself.  As a military retiree, having served in both the Army and Air Force I can honestly say you show you have no idea what so ever about the military.

If a person (who is uncertain about their gender) wants to join the military, then I would suggest that they complete their gender identity at their own expense and then see if they can meet the physical standards at the time of enlistment.  Don't ask everyone else to change to satisfy you physical/mental needs.  As an old hairy legged Master Sergeant I don't think I would like to be ask to live with someone who thinks they want to be a woman/man in contradiction to their gender assigned at birth.  And it appears that Trumps tweet about trans-genders was just that a tweet, no policy change has been forthcoming.

By the way Periwinkle, I understand your fellow Frenchmen are not as happy with their new President as they were when he was elected.

Thank you periwinkle. I see that you believe the Military (fed gov't) should pay for the transgender operations! Wow!  Yes there is some screaming from the far left who would have our forces not kept at tip top shape.

60 years ago your friend was accepted with bad teeth. Recruitment was in high gear as we had just come out or were we still in the Korean war--No I don't remember the dates maybe we were still involved but whatever. Things do change in 60 years! in 1957 I was accepted with a bad back. Not today though.

IMO if we have a transgender in the service let them be and for heavens sake lets let the head of the services decide-not the general public. I do not think this should be a political issue but the liberals have made it so.

The far liberal left have lost their party's reason for being hence their loss a t the last election.                    :2funny:.

periwinkle

Thanks for that support, Sue!

Diglady,

It was a pleasure to read your message #512. You have presented a simple argument, demonstrable facts and also given me your honest, personal opinion. THANK YOU!

No pivoting to talking points or badgering me with assertions about my thought processes, general political knowledge, bad intentions or country of origin. This is the sort of discussion I have hoped for from the "opposition" in this room.

I trace my Democratic roots back to Franklin Delano Roosevelt. I firmly believe he became a great president because he was willing to implement the ideas of his Labor Secretary, Frances Perkins. Lyndon Johnson, for all his flaws, could have been great also if he hadn't taken us into Vietnam. We would likely be a different country today.

I agree that a radical wing of the Democratic Party has moved too far to the left and dragged much of the party with it. Also the Democrats have split into a number of self-interested factions. They need to dispense with the "purification" routines and unite in a clear message for the betterment of the American public and a plan for putting it into action. Only if they take this path will they win back the trust of the people.

Too much Wall Street, too much entitlement, too much hubris. They are looking at more defeats if they don't develop ways to better the lives of the people. More regulation, not less. We are reliving the 1880's and our great-grandparents' suffering. The rich get richer....etc...
And that criticism goes for BOTH parties!

At least the Republicans are taking a few small, tentative steps toward waking up, growing a backbone and maybe helping to get Congress on track, working the way it's meant to.

The suggestion that the trans soldiers in the military should be kept makes sense. They are dedicated and already trained. Much more to be discussed on the subject, of course.

periwinkle. Both parties need to shape up!! :tickedoff:

Trump needs to tweet less! Religious right needs to calm down-recede a bit.

Liberals need to get back on track. I will use this as an example of liberals going off the rails:

Heard on NPR several months ago-Seattle City Council made it against the law to use the term "brown bag" as it is racist!!

Basically my take on all of it:  Barnum Bailey Circus is no more. Nature hates a vacuum!  So we have politics filling the Circus departure vacuum! Awesome deviltry;
smoke and mirror; stunts; clowns  (buffoonery!); stunning displays of daring; general amusement! I am sure one could add more!   :-[

June Drabek

Diglady, my "take" on my President Trump is he is a great business man, he has proven that. He has the right thoughts on our needs in government, but tweeting is for people like me, even though I haven't done it yet. I feel Pres. Trump has to realize that he has a cabinet that is part of his Presidency and he should confer with them on all issues, not to the public at large. I would respect his judgement a great deal more if he did that.
As long as we are here, let's dance.

Looks like China has finally make a hard decision which should make North Korea think before acting.  China doesn't have their back if they (North Korea) attacks first.

Chinese paper says China should stay neutral if North Korea attacks first

http://www.reuters.com/article/us-northkorea-missiles-china-media-idUSKBN1AR005

Lets us hope that the little dictator with the bad haircut is paying attention.  We are dealing with a juvenile delinquent.  I loved John Boltons' statement the other day.

"Well I think the North Korean performance under the agreed framework tells you everything you need to know about dealing with North Korea, about reaching agreements with them and what commitments by North Korea are worth when they say they will give up their nuclear program. North Korea in the past 25 years has solemnly pledged on at least four separate occasions to give up their nuclear weapons program and they’ve violated every commitment. What they want to do is negotiate endlessly to get tangible economic benefits in return for them making a pledge to give up their program, which they then don’t carry out but try and accumulate as much of the benefits as they can. It’s a tactic very similar to what Iran has used and in the case of the agreed framework which president Clinton said would bring peace and security to all of northeast Asia. When the Bush Administration came in, it became clear that North Korea had been violating the agreed framework before the ink was dry on it. Which was why we had to get out of it in order to try to put more pressure on them. The fact is I don’t think North Korea is ever voluntarily going to give up its pursuit of nuclear weapons. And its also the case that even if there were more negotiation, oh I think North Korea has no credibility. Those negotiations themselves benefit North Korea, time is a valuable resource, time is not a neutral feature. People say, ‘what can it hurt to talk with them, what do you lose?’ The answer is you lose time. Time is the asset for the would-be proliferator. And today, we see estimates that North Korea may have as many as 60 nuclear warheads. But at least as of now if that estimate is correct, it is doubtful they have 60 ballistic missiles. At the end of 6 months, or 9 months, or 12 months of negotiation, they may well have it. So time is on the side of the proliferator. I think we are out of time to try to pressure the North Koreans. I think we’ve only got one diplomatic play yet, that’s the possibility of trying to persuade China that everybody would be better off if we reunited the two Koreas. That’s a hard argument to make. But it doesn’t involve negotiating with North Korea, it involves negotiating with China. And if we are not prepared to pursue that, then President Trump’s options are very limited and very unpleasant."

You Gotta Love It! Trump Doubles Down on North Korea

Aug 10, 2017

https://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2017/08/10/you-gotta-love-it-trump-doubles-down-on-north-korea/

Okay, now the following is pretty long but you need to know the truth of the news being published.  Espectially about the 60 "new" actually old warheads.  And how Obama had his idiot over in Iran making his little agreement about Iran getting their atomic bomb.

The Washington Post Passed Off 4-Year-Old Information as Breaking News

Aug 10, 2017

RUSH: But what started all of this? I want to go back to that. It was a Washington Post story. The Washington Post story genuinely shocked the world. Now, stick with me on this.

The Washington Post reported that the Defense Intelligence Agency had concluded that North Korea had successfully produced miniaturized nuclear warheads that could fit inside their missiles, about 60 of them â€" and that report changed everything. That turned North Korea from a bumbling little potbellied fool into, “Whoa, they’ve got warheads now?” Everybody started changing their focus on this, 180 degrees. But here’s the problem with this:

That was not news. The Obama administration knew about North Korea’s miniaturized nukes years ago. This was Tuesday when the Washington Post did a big, big bombshell from the DIA that North Korea is now capable of building miniaturized nuclear weapons that could be used as warheads for missiles. But the Post story omitted that the DIA concluded this four years ago, folks. This is 4-year-old news!

This is no different than the New York Times on Monday night with the shocking news alert saying that they’ve come across a secret government document suggesting that global warming is happening much faster and much sooner than anybody knew. It’s much faster and sooner than the models predict. In fact, global warming is so bad that it’s happening right now! It turns out that that very document had been public for months, and the New York Times reports it as a leaked document they secretly got that had never been reported.

They were unleashing it in the world. The reaction that night with the alert and the next day was typical. It was fake news, and so is this business that the Washington Post did on Tuesday that North Korea all of a sudden has nuclear-warhead capability. They’ve had it since 2013. Who was president in 2013? That would be none other than Barack Hussein O. Was it reported in 2013? No! Did anybody raise hell about it in 2013? No! Did anybody get scared? No! Did anybody talk about, “What the hell has Obama done here?” No!.

Was anybody asking, “What the hell did Bill Clinton do? How could Bill Clinton let this happen?” No! There was no concern. There was no panic. There was no fear. There was nothing. They didn’t even report it. The DIA made this calculation, reported it in 2013, and it wasn’t even known. It was greeted with a ho-hum. You know why? Because throughout the Obama administration, there was simply no way that Barack Obama could do a damn single thing wrong â€" and whatever happened in the world was good because Barack Obama was president.

Just like the Iranians getting a nuclear weapon. “Why it’s only fair. Who is to say they can’t?” And the North Koreans nuking up while Obama is president? “Well there’s nothing to see here! Obama’s got the situation in hand. Obama is erudite and sophisticated. He’s cosmopolitan. Obama can deal with the North Koreans.” Now we have a fake story that’s four years old and reported as a bombshell on Tuesday, and now look at what everybody is doing. This is unconscionable!

Now we’ve got everybody reacting here as though there’s a brand new imminent threat and it’s just days away, that this lunatic is going to hit Hawaii or Guam or whatever, which is providing a new opportunity to portray Trump as incompetent, inept, dangerous, and what have you. Just like every other prior Republican president is portrayed, including George W. Bush. The pattern is unending. It’s just like when it comes to speech.

Anybody on the left on TV can say anything they want. They can shout the N word like Bill Maher did. They can say whatever. Let a conservative come along and say something not even close to that and all hell breaks loose, and the censors break out, and the demands for firing people and shutting them down and getting them off the air start immediately. Meanwhile, leftists are allowed to do anything. So the North Koreans can nuke up when Obama is president. “Yawn! Nothing to see here.”

Bill Clinton can enable the North Koreans to nuclear weapon-ize, lying through their teeth during negotiations, saying, “We’re only going to build nuclear power plants,” and then when they nuke up, we don’t blame Madeline Albright for being incompetent and stupid. We don’t blame Bill Clinton for missing the boat, and we certainly don’t blame Obama when they get 60 miniaturized warheads. No, we shelve the story and we wait for the next Republican president to get in office.

We drop it on him to make it look like he doesn’t know what he’s doing. Meanwhile, the president, the grand poobah, the chief, whatever this guy is that runs Guam, is thrilled that Trump is talking the way he is talking because he wants the North Koreans to have no doubt what’s going to happen to them if they launch on his island. He doesn’t want any girly-boy, pajama-boy lingo.

He wants somebody talking John Wayne tough at Kim Jong-un because he’s supposedly in the crosshairs here. So once again, everything is 180 degrees out of phase, and the American people are being lied to front to back. The New York Times and that bogus climate change alert and story which was old news that didn’t even draw a crowd when it was first made public. And now this lying sack of excrement crap from the Washington Post claiming, “60 miniaturized nuclear warheads just this week we discovered Kim Jong-un had!”

Nope.

It was a 2013 Defense Intelligence Agency assessment. Again, not a single story back then of any panic or fear or concern. No media reports asking, “Does Obama know? How could Obama have let this happen? Oh my gosh!” No. If there were any stories, it was, “Don’t worry! Obama’s got it. Obama knows how to deal with it. He’s the smartest man in the world.” This is putrid, sick, offensive stuff â€" and you know what I’m tired of? I’m tired of turning on the TV â€" you can’t miss it â€" during the daytime. (I’m not watching at night.)

I watched some panel â€" I don’t remember which network â€" complaining about “the partisan divide” in Washington and how it is just getting worse and worse and worse. Of course, the usual suspects are who? Us! People who do not kowtow to the establishment way of thinking, people who do not fall in lock step with this kind of garbage the New York Times and the Washington Post are putting out â€" and this is considered the problem with partisanship.

Free speech and partisanship, the two go together. Partisanship gets worse as conservatives fail to comply with the approved way of thinking and the approved way of speaking, and this is making everything much worse. So what the left is actually seeking here is the elimination of liberty and the elimination of freedom by virtue of using intimidation â€" and, worse â€" to get people to shut up. We’d better be thankful that there are voices out there that can expose the fraud that has become mainstream news.

The New York Times, the Washington Post and their related networks CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC â€" even PBS â€" and on and on. In other words, there is nothing new in North Korea, folks. The 60 warheads? Nothing new. Kim Jong-un bragging about having them? Nothing new. Kim Jong-un threatening to use them? Nothing new. What is new is there’s a president responding to it in a forceful, definitive way. That’s the only thing new about this. We don’t have a pajama boy who wears mom jeans who can barely throw a baseball in the first pitch of the Nationals game as president.

We have somebody there who is no-nonsense and who is not going to take this â€" and that’s now being portrayed as the threat. Donald Trump is the threat. You know the Washington Post actually has a story today â€" a panicked realization as though they just figured this out? Honest to God, I saw the headline last night. It’s something… It’s not this. I’m paraphrasing. It’s, “Oh, my God, oh, my God! Trump actually has the nuclear codes.” That’s the headline: “Oh no! Trump has the nuclear codes.”

Well, what is the reader supposed to think of that? We’re supposed to imagine some insane lunatic, out of control that nobody can rein in. “He has the nuclear codes? He can launch today? Oh no!” So it’s Trump that poses the threat to the world, not this lunatic in North Korea â€" and not the Iranians, by the way â€" and not the Russians and not whoever other enemies of ours exist. No, it’s Trump. It’s irresponsible. It is dangerous. And it’s sick.

And we’ll be back. Don’t go away.

Mueller Is Said to Seek Interviews With West Wing in Russia Case

The new Communist party (USA) leader has spoken.

Elizabeth Warren Takes Aim at Moderates and Generates Chants of ‘Warren 2020’

///snip///
ATLANTA â€" Senator Elizabeth Warren used a speech to a grass-roots conference Saturday to take direct aim at Democrats’ diminished moderate wing, ridiculing Clinton-era policies and jubilantly proclaiming that liberals had taken control of the party.
///snip///
///snip///
"“The Democratic Party isn’t going back to the days of welfare reform and the crime bill,” she said, highlighting measures Mr. Clinton signed into law as president that are reviled by much of the left. “It is not going to happen.”

Yet Ms. Warren, a Massachusetts Democrat who is widely thought to be considering running for president in 2020, noted to about 1,000 activists here for the yearly Netroots Nation meeting that they hardly needed to worry about the party shifting to the middle as it did in the 1990s. Liberals, she said, have taken charge."

That's all folks.

Another long post, but look what is happening to our country.  Trump tells the truth and he is blasted by all the liberals (Socialist/Communist) and even the wimps of his party.  We are witnessing, I am afraid, the breakup of our country while the good people sit idly by and say nothing, absolutely nothing.  What is he being blasted for, why he said both sides of the riot were at fault and were wrong.  Cant have that.

America 2017: You Will Conform and You Will Love It

Aug 16, 2017

RUSH: You know what this feels like to me? The cultural revolution of Mao Tse-tung when the Chinese became the ChiComs. This is exactly what it was like: “You will conform, and you will love it. You not only will conform, you will love it â€" and if you don’t, kablooey! It is to the work camps to you or to the reeducation jail for you â€" and if you don’t get it after that, then it’s dog doo-doo for food for you until you do get it.” Let me ask a simple question, ladies and gentlemen. You know, I can’t help it. I’m logical.

I can’t help it! That’s the way I think. I’m the mayor of Realville. I’m looking at the media, and I’m watching various… I did watch some TV last night, and I found out why I stopped. Boy, you talk about… I just was blowing up last night. I don’t like being mad. I tell myself, “You don’t have to be mad anymore, Rush, you’re 66!” I can’t help it. I get mad. It’s a good sign, probably. I’m watching TV, and I’m reading a lot of so-called conservative publications and blogs and websites, and if I didn’t know better… Well, no. I don’t have to qualify this.

I’m being told, you’re being told that Donald Trump does not want to tick off the Nazis or the Klan or the white supremacists, because that’s his base. Right? And he’s got to acknowledge ’em. He can’t make ’em mad. Why not? Well, because that’s who elected him. Do you realize how asinine that is, folks? Do you realize how literally stupid and dumb that line of thinking is? How many members of the Ku Klux Klan are there?

And subtract one with the death of Robert Byrd, Democrat senator from West Virginia. How many members of the Klan are there? I happen to know the number. How many neo-Nazis are there in the United States? How many registered neo-Nazis, and how many white supremacists? Do you actually think…? I’m asking all of you in this audience. Do you actually think that the people who elected Donald Trump are the Ku Klux Klan, the Nazis, and white supremacists? Is that who elected him?

Because that’s what your media is telling you, and that’s what many in your conservative media are joining with the left in saying that Trump is doing all this because Trump is trying to accommodate these wacko right-wingers ’cause that’s who voted for him, and he can’t afford to lose ’em. Or â€" get this, I forget who said it â€" that Trump will take the support of anybody who loves him. “He’s so desperate to be loved, and if the Nazis love him, you will not ever hear him condemn them.” Except that he has! He’s condemned the Nazis! He condemned the bigots.

He condemned the white supremacists and the Klan â€" and, you know, Trump when he was flirting with the presidency originally back in 2000 with the Reform Party, you know why he quit the Reform Party? Because David Duke joined it. He quit the Reform Party because Pat Buchanan joined it. You know, this is the party that Perot started back in 1992, or at least was founded around Perot, and Trump was flirting with a presidential bid back in 2000, 2004, whenever it was, and he quit the party the moment the Klan got their hands in it.

There is no history of Donald Trump associating with the Klan. None whatsoever. But beyond that, people are saying that Trump is insensitive and he’s boorish and he’s a pig, and now he’s sympathetic to all of these extreme right-wing groups ’cause that’s who elected him. Okay, how many members of the Klan are there, folks? Have you Wikipedia’d this yet? The number is 200,000 tops. Tops! How many white supremacists are there? Where do they live? How do you campaign for them? Where do you get their votes? Where are they registered and how do you reach them in a campaign?

And now the Nazis, the neo-Nazis, where are they? How many of them are there? Add all three of these groups. How many people are we talking about, and we’re told these are the people that elected Trump? It’s not possible, folks. It simply isn’t possible, and therefore the idea that Trump refuses to criticize them even though he has? The media says he didn’t mean it on Monday, so they’re not letting him credit for criticizing. “He didn’t really mean it in his press conference Monday.

“He showed that he won’t criticize ’em, ’cause he likes them, ’cause he needs them.” So now you’re being lied to and told that Donald Trump is president because the Klan, the Nazis, and the white supremacists are his base, and that’s why he will not condemn them. Please don’t tell me you buy into that. Please. Please don’t tell me that you have bought that. Okay, let’s go back to the phones. Here is Diane in Oklahoma. Welcome. Great to have you on the program. How are you doing?

CALLER: Hi, Rush. I am a great admirer of yours. My husband and I both really admire you, and we appreciate your statesmanship, your ability â€" God-given â€" to reason and articulate. Thank you for being my voice, our voice. I too was born in 1951. Good year.

RUSH: Wow.

CALLER: In 1987, I first heard you. I had the radio on during my lunch break in the car, and I thought, “Oh, brother. Another brash, loudmouth, bombastic idiot liberal talk show host.”

RUSH: Liberal!

CALLER: And then suddenly I stopped and I listened, and I thought, “My gosh, he’s a brash, loudmouth, bombastic, non-idiot conservative talk show host,” and I have seldom missed your show since then.

RUSH: (laughing)

CALLER: We’re 24/7 members, and… Anyway, we are really appreciate everything that you helped us to learn. In my early adulthood, I learned about revisionist history. I read original William Bradford writings. I’m thrilled with your children’s series, Rush Revere. I’ve lived and worked in China, and every time stuff like this comes up, I just think, “If only Americans would read the history of China and Mao Tse-tung and what he did.” I have a lot of Chinese-American friends who came here from China, and they’re Trump supporters simply because they said, “You know, we see what the Democrats and the liberals are doing, and it’s very much Mao-like.” Just listening to you today, I agree that this is not innocent on the liberal side.

RUSH: There’s a “but” coming in all of this, isn’t there? There’s a “but” coming, right?

CALLER: No, because I’ve been listening fourth to you, and I’m just thinking, “Man, we have revisionists, not just history. We got revisionist current event spinners every day in the media.” The only thing, as I was listening in the last couple of days, I did have to come to the conclusion that â€" and my husband and I discussed it. If we had been there, we would have quickly found a news reporter â€" though they probably wouldn’t have reported it. But we would have removed ourselves as very fine people, and I do see what you’re saying and I’ve listened more closely â€"

RUSH: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Hold it. Why would you have removed yourselves?

CALLER: Because at that point I think we would have been identified with what was being promoted from the white supremacists and from the neo-Nazis, and we don’t identify with that in anyway.

RUSH: Wait a second, Diane. This was not a Trump rally. Do you understand that?

CALLER: Yes.

RUSH: There would have been no reason why you would have gone there. There isn’t a Trump rally. It’s not a conservative rally. It was a rally on the part of people who got a permit. They oppose statues being torn down. They oppose the attempt to erase aspects of American history.

CALLER: Yes. Yes.

RUSH: And you’re telling me that had you been there, you would have split the scene the first Nazi sign that you saw, the first swastika?

CALLER: No. As soon as I saw what was happening, I would have split the scene, absolutely.

RUSH: Well, what do you think happened that would have caused you to split the scene?

CALLER: Violence. And that would have been violence on either side.

RUSH: Right.

CALLER: Now, also, this is so funny because we have very few what I would call liberal friends. I mean, we just don’t. We just don’t run in those circles. But there are people in our lives that we dearly love, my niece and then two godchildren, 21 and 18. Great niece, actually. But they’re very liberal. They’ve been, you know, schooled in what kids are being schooled in, and so for the first time I’m trying to listen to their articulations. I mean, they’re getting fed the regular â€"

RUSH: How old are they?

CALLER: â€" the internet media, the Yahoo media, all that, they’re being fed that every day.

RUSH: How old are they?

CALLER: Well, the niece is 45, but the young ones are 21 and 18.

RUSH: Okay. All right. So you are â€" (interruption) Hey, Brian, our little iPhone here just got a FaceTime call. Ha-ha. The private iPhone that we use for broadcast purposes just got a â€" I’m gonna tell ’em I do not want to answer it, all right. We actually use this for the Dittocam. So for the first time you are sensitive to what they think?

CALLER: Yeah. Because I love them so much.

RUSH: Right.

CALLER: You know, when you have a personal love â€"

RUSH: Okay. Let’s cut to the chase. What do you mean by all of this? ‘Cause I really am out of time now, but I want to stick with you, find out what your point is. You’ve had a long setup here to what I know is a point you want to make to me that you’re tiptoeing up to. Just hit me between the eyes with it. Let me have it, Diane.

CALLER: Because I’ve been listening to you since I first called in, I think you very clearly said that Trump was not saying that there are very fine people in the white supremacist movement or in the neo-Nazi movement, but that’s what’s being portrayed, that’s what these young people are hearing, and that’s what all the liberals are hearing, and that’s all they hear.

RUSH: Okay, but in the case of your niece, your great niece, and your nephew, do you tell them they’re wrong, or do you not, because you love them and you might find it pointless to try. How do you deal with this? You say you’re more open to what they think. But what if they’re wrong in your estimation and you love them and you don’t want to them to be wrong, you want them to see the truth, do you tell them?

CALLER: I do think they give me time and they listen. I appreciate that so much. In fact, he just bought a new iPhone, well, it’s an iPhone 6, but new for him, I just thought, gosh, all you’d have to do is get something from Rush and you’d probably listen to him for a while. He did do the Constitution 101 and 102 as Hillsdale College at my request, so he is not a totally closed-minded young man.

RUSH: Well, that’s good. That’s good. Your effort and your time spent is worth it. Well, look, Diane, I’m glad you called. I have to take a break because, as I said, I’m way long here. I appreciate it.

While the NYT (The Daily Worker) has this to say, in a shocked voice:

Trump Defends Initial Remarks on Charlottesville; Again Blames ‘Both Sides’

By MICHAEL D. SHEAR and MAGGIE HABERMANAUG. 15, 2017

My God he blamed the Alt Left too......how can he do that?

Also read that had a big tear jerking memorial for the lady demonstrator that was killed this weekend.  Wonder if they will put a statue up for her.

Ah, go ahead say what you are thinking about me. For commenting on her memorial service.  I sympathize for her and her family and condemn the idiot who drove the car into the crowd of Alt Left demonstrators.  But when you come armed to the teeth, both sides, expect plenty of bad, bad trouble.  And folks it isn't over yet.  Look what the Alt left did in other cities, where there wasn't the Alt Right present.

You know what is happening now reminds me of the 1950's when I was in the UK and the Communist were all in the streets and I was routinely and constantly told "go home yank" and "don't rearm Germany".  Of course they were wrong then and wrong now.  The Yanks didn't go home, they are still there, Germany was rearmed.

Shirley

I have not read all the past posts and won't be the least offended if nobody wants to hear my opinion.... but I still have the right to say what I think.

First of all, I totally agree with Trump about both sides having good & bad people, but I do NOT AGREE with any of the NAZIS hate beliefs.  On the other hand, as long as being NAZI in this country is legal, they have as much right to demonstrate as the Black Panthers did many years ago.  I did not like them, either.  Do we want our Congress & Senate to make it against the law to be a member of the Nazi Party in this country?  IF SO, DO IT.  On the other hand, I totally disagree that anyone has the right to re-write history. Slavery was a fact, the South lost that war but do we really want to banish everyone that had to do with slavery?  Here's where I agree with Trump.... openly or hiding, our first President not only had slaves but has a line of descendants to prove he had close relations with them.  Do we burn down his home, pull down his statues?  How many Americans do the Liberals want to offend with their HATE?  Not true? Think about it from all sides.

I've been saying all along that I did vote for Trump, I think he is a lot better business man and has more guts than any President since Harry Truman.  That is what it is going to take to undo all the damage many of the previous Presidents did as they sold out our country trying to "buy" votes and foreign countries.  Sadly, we have a whole bunch of gutless business men and politicians that jump to get their face, words & deeds out to the corrupt news media.  What ever happened to the term "slander"?  Used to be that any news print, radio or TV needed proof or the newsman/woman or employer could be sued, big time, and be scorned by everyone.  Those were the good old days when we didn't have 24/7 talk shows that say anything to get attention,

Not sure how the news media can twist the fact that our economy is better, welfare is having to clean up some of their book keeping, and that crazy little fat boy in N.Korea actually blinked because he wasn't sure just what Trump would do.... "Way to go, Trump"!!!  If there was any way to get word to our President that this 82 year old would be delighted to shake his hand for voicing MY OPINION, I would jump at the chance.  I don't Tweet or do Facebook so I'm saying it here.  I won't be back to debate, I've said what I think.
Thanks, if you've read this far........Shirley

Shirley, well said.

Bad guys on both sides is sure true. Both armed to the teeth. Driver is a flat out murderer.

I think those who would pull down statues/monuments are like the ISIS killers. That is what they have done!

1984  is upon us--rewriting history!!

Bannon is gone now.

Carol

"and just like that people were mad at statues"  - Forest Gump

This reminds me of the ending of the Columbus Day parade.  We never went to the parade but I always thought Columbus was daring to take everyone on the journey.  Isn't that some feat?  The parade is gone in Denver.  It really was only some older Italian immigrant families who enjoyed a subdued celebration - no shots into the air.  Why couldn't they have their little parade?

Conundrum

"A gun is like a parachute. If you need one and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again."

The definition of the word Conundrum is: something that is puzzling or confusing.

Here are six Conundrums of Socialism in the United States of America:

1 America is capitalist and greedy - yet half of the population is subsidized.

2 Half of the population is subsidized - yet they think they are victims.

3 They think they are victims - yet their representatives run the government.

4 Their representatives run the government - yet the poor keep getting poorer.

5 The poor keep getting poorer - yet they have things that people in other Countries only dream about.

6 They have things that people in other countries only dream about, yet they want America to be more like those other countries.

Think about it! And that, my friends, pretty much sums up the USA in the 21st Century.

Makes you wonder who is doing the math. By the way ....

1 We are advised to NOT judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, But we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.
Funny how that works. And here's another one worth considering...

2 Seems we constantly hear about how Social Security is going to run out of money. But we never hear about welfare or food stamps running out of money? What's interesting is the first group "worked for" their money, but the second didn't.
Think about it.... Am I the only one missing something?
As long as we are here, let's dance.

From my email this morning.....
CHARLES REESE'S FINAL COLUMN....

A very interesting column. COMPLETELY NEUTRAL

Be sure to Read the Poem at the end.

Charley Reese's final column for the Orlando Sentinel...

He has been a journalist for 49 years.

He is retiring and this is HIS LAST COLUMN.

Be sure to read the Tax List at the end.

This is about as clear and easy to understand as it can be. The article below is completely neutral, neither anti-republican nor democrat. Charlie Reese, a retired reporter for the Orlando Sentinel, has hit the nail directly on the head, defining clearly who it is that in the final analysis must assume responsibility for the judgments made that impact each one of us every day.

It's a relatively short but good read. Worth the time. Worth remembering!

545 vs. 300,000,000 People- by Charlie Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The President does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations.

    The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash.

The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes.

Who is the speaker of the House now? He is the leader of the majority party. He and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.

If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it's because they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan ... If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power.

Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.
They, and they alone, have the power. They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses, provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees...

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

What you do with this article now that you have read it... is up to you.

This might be funny if it weren't so true.

Be sure to read all the way to the end:

    Tax his land,

    Tax his bed,

Tax the table, at which he's fed.

    Tax his tractor,

    Tax his mule,

Teach him taxes are the rule

    Tax his work,

Tax his pay, he works for peanuts anyway!

    Tax his cow,

    Tax his goat,

    Tax his pants,

    Tax his coat.

    Tax his ties,

    Tax his shirt,

    Tax his work,

    Tax his dirt.

    Tax his tobacco,

    Tax his drink,

Tax him if he tries to think

    Tax his cigars,

    Tax his beers,

If he cries tax his tears.

    Tax his car,

    Tax his gas,

Find other ways to tax his ass.

Tax all he has, then let him know that you won't be done till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers; then tax him some more, tax him till he's good and sore.

    Then tax his coffin,

    Tax his grave,

Tax the sod into which he's laid...

Put these words upon his tomb,

"Taxes drove me to my doom..."
When he's gone, do not relax,

it’s time to apply, the Inheritance tax.

    Accounts Receivable Tax

    Building Permit Tax

    CDL license Tax

    Cigarette Tax

    Corporate Income Tax

    Dog License Tax

    Excise Taxes

    Federal Income Tax

    Federal Unemployment Tax (FUTA)

    Fishing License Tax

    Food License Tax

    Fuel Permit Tax

Gasoline Tax (currently 44.75 cents per gallon)

    Gross Receipts Tax

    Hunting License Tax

    Inheritance Tax

    Inventory Tax

IRS Interest Charges IRS Penalties (tax on top of tax)

    Liquor Tax

    Luxury Taxes

    Marriage License Tax

    Medicare Tax

    Personal Property Tax

    Property Tax

    Real Estate Tax

    Service Charge Tax

    Social Security Tax

    Road Usage Tax

    Recreational Vehicle Tax

    Sales Tax

    School Tax

    State Income Tax

    State Unemployment Tax (SUTA)

    Telephone Federal Excise Tax

Telephone Federal Universal Service Fee Tax

Telephone Federal, State and Local Surcharge Taxes

    Telephone Minimum Usage Surcharge Tax

Telephone Recurring and Nonrecurring Charges Tax

    Telephone State and Local Tax

    Telephone Usage Charge Tax

    Utility Taxes

    Vehicle License Registration Tax

    Vehicle Sales Tax

    Watercraft Registration Tax

    Well Permit Tax

    Workers Compensation Tax

    STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?

Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, & our nation was the most prosperous in the world.

We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom, if agreed, stayed home to raise the kids.

What in the heck happened? Can you spell 'politicians?'

I hope this goes around THE USA at least 545 times!!!

YOU can help it get there!!!

GO AHEAD. . . BE AN AMERICAN!!!

It has now been reported that the OBAMA administration made manufacturing, using, buying, selling the "bump stocks" legal. That is the nasty the LV shooter used to turn his guns into really rapid fire.  So many dead and injured due to this ruling/law.

Now here is a scary little fact:

An old-school pharmacy hand-delivers drugs to Congress, a little-known perk for the powerful

By Erin Mershon @eemershon

October 11, 2017

“At first it’s cool, and then you realize, I’m filling some drugs that are for some pretty serious health problems as well. And these are the people that are running the country,” Kim said, listing treatments for conditions like diabetes and Alzheimer’s.

“It makes you kind of sit back and say, ‘Wow, they’re making the highest laws of the land and they might not even remember what happened yesterday.'”

https://www.statnews.com/2017/10/11/pharmacist-congress-drug-delivery/

Read the article about what a doctors visit for a year cost our Congressmen.  No wonder they don't want to change things.

Why can't the media pundits remember?

Remember when Donald Trump was business partners with the Russian government and his company got $53 million from the Russian government investment fund called Rusnano that was started by Vladimir Putin and is referred to as "Putin's Child?”

Oh wait, that wasn't Trump; it was John Podesta.

Remember when Donald Trump received $500,000 for a speech in Moscow and paid for by Renaissance Capital, a company tied to Russian Intelligence Agencies?

Oh wait, that was Bill Clinton.

Remember when Donald Trump approved the sale of 20% of U.S. uranium to the Russians while he was Secretary of State which gave control of it to Rosatom the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation?

Oh wait, that was Hillary Clinton.

Remember when Donald Trump lied about that and said he wasn't a part of approving the deal that gave the Russians 1/5 of our uranium, but then his e-mails were leaked showing he did lie about it?

Oh wait, that was Hillary Clinton and John Podesta.

Remember when Donald Trump got $145 million from shareholders of the uranium company sold to the Russians?

Oh wait, that was Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation.

Remember when Donald Trump accepted millions in donations from Russian oligarchs like the chairman of a company that's part of the Russian Nuclear Research Cluster, the wife of the mayor of Moscow and a close pal of Putin's?

Oh wait, that was the Clinton Foundation.

Remember when Donald Trump failed to disclose all those donations before becoming the Secretary of State, and it was only found out when a journalist went through Canadian tax records?

Oh wait, that was Hillary Clinton

Remember when Donald Trump told Mitt Romney that the '80s called and it wanted its Russian policy back. The Cold War is over?

Oh wait, that was President Obama.

Man, Trump's ties to Russia are really "disgusting!"

June, I think you have to remember the left is totally against free speech. They are for the total control of the US citizens too. Truth is not in their favor!
