----------CHUCKLES----------

Substitute Teacher

Walking through the hallways at the middle school where I work, I saw a new substitute teacher standing outside his classroom with his forehead against a locker.
I heard him mutter, "How did you get yourself into this?"
Knowing that he was assigned to a difficult class, I tried to offer moral support.
"Are you okay?" I asked.  "Can I help?"
He lifted his head and replied, "I'll be fine as soon as I get this kid out of his locker

Janie and Shirley.....  may this old Girl Scout join you on your camping trip?  Of course, at this point we need to arrange to take along my oxygen as well as tent, sleeping bag and maybe folding cot....  I think I still have a couple of buddy burners someplace, too, and some sit-upons...

Good Morning everyone!
Jeanne Lee don't go too far back you may leave out lot of good memories.
I sure enjoyed your substitute teacher I copped and sent to our grand daughter
whom is doing her first year of full time teaching.thanks for the fill in for Bis for all of us, Have a great day. I am sure you do for all but you sure have always been here for me and a great helper.

Good morning everyone..

Overcast here and light drizzle..
As a child we went camping ,Dad would set up the tent along with two other families and then the men would head back to the city to work. We loved every part of camping, even staying inside the tent when it rained. Later on it was cub camp for me but I would have to get up early go home hand milk the cow and head back to camp in time to help cook the breakfast......that too was a fun time!

A day of rest here...will do a whole lot of nothing, maybe sit and hand sew the binding on a quilt and we may have friends pop in to pick up some chicken that I got her for their dogs ..they love their dogs too! We also have VON to come and disconnect the chemo bottle.

Shirley, there are days that my get up and go has got up and gone, leaving me behind..

Jeanne Lee, love the graphics...so sweet. Spring to me is a time of miracles with all the births going on.

Lloyd, good morning to you..

Time to get ready, I slept in and I am lagging behind..
Enjoy your day everyone.

That's right, Jeanne Lee.  It's one of my old, old ones and my name is on it, though it is pretty faint.  Thanks for posting it.

I've been up since 6 a.m. and have spent my time this morning trying to clean up several stick drives.  I hope I haven't done more harm than good.   ???  I have probably deleted a lot of stuff that I'll look for later and wonder where the heck it went.

Sun is coming up and it's supposed to be warm.  Rain is promised for later.  No big plans for today but I would like to get to the library.  I hate being without a book to read.  But, I have a few on my Nook so I can always rely on that.

Amy, sitting in the tent when it rained was special, too - just not the entire camping trip.   ;D  And be very careful not to touch that wet canvas, or it would leak where it was touched.   :o

Hi everyone.  It is another cloudy day with a 20% chance of rain but we will be in the 70's again this afternoon.  Pat will not be going to Sunday School and Church with me this morning as is in a lot of pain.  I had a very pleasant surprise yesterday afternoon.  I had tuned in to the golf channel and then thought it might be on CBS so turned there only to find the Division II National Basketball Championship being played and there was my Alma Mater playing and they won the National Championship for the first time ever.  The football team has won 4 of the last 8 National Championships.  This was a nice achievement for Northwest Missouri State University from which I graduated in 1962.  There were about 3,000 students there when I was attending and they now have 6,500 students.  Division II is for the smaller Universities. I did watch the two Division I basketball games played last night and will watch the last two that are on tonight.  This will establish the Final Four teams to play for the Division I National Championship.

June, that rumble in your tummy when you eat must be a band playing a welcome to the food.  :)

Shirley, glad you enjoy the camping so much.  I was never one thrilled with camping but know many people greatly enjoy it.  I saw Jenny's picture in Facebook.

Jenny, glad to see you had a pleasant trip home.

Jeanne, thanks for getting us started on the new week.  A very pretty and appropriate graphic that Phyllis made.  It reminds me of the mother bird that is sitting on her three story nest up in the corner on the column on my front porch.  This is her third season and each year she adds a new nest on top of the old.

Since I wrote such a long postings yesterday I am just going to wish all have a good day. It will soon be time to leave for Sunday School and Church.  On the way home I will stop and get Pat a fried chicken and I will probably have a sub.

Amy

Jeanne Lee, my Dad made sure we didn't touch the canvas that was a definite no no! We would go fishing and bring what we caught back to Dad and he would fillet them to have later on the camp fire cooked in the cast iron pan.

Phyliss, I love your graphic, thank you.

VON came and said it was slippery in the driveway so I sanded and put some ice melter down.Still lightly raining out..

Good Morning Jeanne, and thank you for the great opening of our brand new week. Bis would be So pleased with all you do for us.

I must not dawdle today, we are scheduled to sing at Chapel today and must be there a little early.

Phyllis, a lovely graphic it is ! Thank you girl.

Larry, I am sorry your Pat is is more pain this morning. Is there nothing she can take to help her enjoy life a bit more ? Pain is such a thief of what life should be like. I like the thought of my angry stomach noise being a band playing…good one !!

Amy with your weather being as it is, I hope you can stay tucked in, with plenty of wood in the wood box. We don't want you out slipping and sliding on hidden ice.

Time for me to get things rolling here…we will be chatting again later, God willing. Big Morning Hugs all around. June

Good morning everyone, I had a check disk scheduled ad it started when I booted up this morning, tooked hours for it to run, maybe because it was a few weeks since I had done that. The day started sunny but the clouds have taken over. Rain in the forecast at times till Wednesday.

LARRY  I have read that freezing fruit improves the flavor.  I still have some blueberries and strawberries from the farm last summer. I was used to getting a 3 month supply of my meds but now have to get them every month. All of them were transferred at the same time but it takes them a week to get to all of them. They call to let me know I have one to pick up and I call and ask to have it delivered Takes a week to get them all.  Of course it works better for my son who no longer has to get them for me. Glad you liked that Redneck list. Got them from a friend.

JUNE  my son has been pruning his trees but doubts there will be a crop again this year because of those caterpillars denuding the trees last year. We all forget things. I find I have to make notes about everything these days.

SHIRLEY  I like the eye rounds, they slice so good for sandwiches later, I think chuck roasts have the best flavor. Like you I enjoyed camping all those years ago. My daughter uses oil paints but wants to try water paints. I think what she is working on now is a covered bridge. She has been making cards lately when she has time. With her she gets so much detail in her work that she wants to make sure everything is dry before she starts the next layer or gets her hand into the wet paint and messes it up. It is also how she was taught. I still enjoy watching Bob Ross on local PBS channel on Friday nights. She has used some of his tips in some of her paintings, instructor asked where she learned the different technique and she told her watching BR. She had never heard of him.

JEANNE  LEE  thanks for the new week and the chuckles, that is a cute one. Love the graphic for the week. I remember making those Sit Upons back in the days  I was a girl scout leader. Newspaper and plastic bags can be used for many things. I think the graphic is by Phyllis, she does some wonderful creations.

LLOYD  good morning. Hope you will take it easy today and just rest.

AMY  one thing I likes about camping was little clean up time and meals were simple and always tasted better. I woke late, too. Was awakened during the night with flashing lights. Got up and looked out and the rescue truck was here. I did not stay up to see it they took someone out. Hate to see that ambulance come here. At times it is only because someone fell but at others they take someone to the hospital.

PHYLLIS  there is something about your work that always is different. Your name is faint on it but without seeing the name I knew it was yours. I picked up 2 books from the library down stairs and am half through one already.

JEANNE LEE  we had a cabin tent so plenty of room for the 5 of us on a rainy day. I always brought games and things to keep busy with if we had rain.

AMY  freezing rain us no fun. The rain we had yesterday froze overnight and I could see ice-NOT frost on the cars this morning.

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Well I was going to church this morning but, after getting up and shaving and taking my shower I was not fit to do anything.  Don't know exactly was the problem just absolutely exhausted.  I finally went back to bed and just got back up feeling somewhat better.

Any old how, when I a youngster I didn't know there was anything else to do but go camping on the lake or river.  Loved it.  Had a couple of uncles that always went with us and one loved to cook and take care of camp, Uncle Bill.  And he was a good cook.

I am going to cut this short, talk to you later.

June Drabek

I'm back from Church, changed into more comfy clothes, and will go down for lunch in about an hour. Our choir did well on our first hymn, the second, I was disappointed, in myself. We really do need a lot more practice, but for the ages we are, I should be thankful we do as well as we do.

Our guest preacher today gave us all a book that he authored. He has written fifty books and been on innumerable Missions around the world. I sure love living here. We meet so many wonderfully good people that are still…at an advanced age…doing things for the love of God.

It was cloudy when the morning started, but the sun is shining brightly now. This will be a quiet day at home…lots of reading and rest. No programs scheduled. I will probably do my monthly shopping order at Von's, and have it delivered tomorrow…another quiet day..things scheduled, but nothing I care about.

Gloria, I always like the Chuck roasts best of all. To me they had a deeper flavor, made wonderful gravy, and the meat was tender. I hope Mother Nature overcomes the danger the caterpillars did last year and your son has a bumper crop of apples. I noticed we have an abundance of a black caterpillar crawling across our sidewalks. No fruit trees here so they must like something else.

Hal, I'm sorry you missed Church this morning. I know it means "Sunday" to you to be in attendance. I find too, that I must listen to what my body allows. I have missed three Sundays, due to pain, so it was a treat to be back today. A passage I read today gave me the assurance that I should be in attendance. I will post a portion.

"Waiting on Me means directing your attention to Me in hopeful anticipation of what I will do. It entails trusting Me with every fibre of your being; instead of trying to figure everything out for yourself. Waiting on Me is the way I designed you to live: all day; every day. I created you to stay conscious of Me as you go about your daily duties."

Hal, so it tells me NOT to depend on what I should do, or always do, because it is Sunday, or another special day. But to leave my day in God's hands and follow as best we know how……one step at a time, one minute at a time…whatever is necessary at the the moment. It gives us another new Freedom…to let God be in charge, not us. I hope this helps.
As long as we are here, let's dance.

Good late afternoon, on a raining cool day.

I am just marking my spot. I had another mild heart attack, last week, and have been in Stony Brook U. Hospital.  I was in CCU a few days, then moved to the 15 floor for another few days. I had a lot of email to read, now I have come in here. To see how my cyber friends are doing. I did not want to go to that hospital, as in up west end of the Island.  I did not know they were taking me there, one one ask.  We have a good hospital in this town.

Thanks Jeanne Lee, for getting us started loved your graphic also, Phyllis.

Larry sorry to read that Pt has so much pain.

I am very tired, so will see you late.

Hopeing to see how Joan is doing.

GloriaD, I'm so sorry to read about your heart attack but glad you got good care & back home.  Maybe it is not just "an old wives tale" about needing to thin our blood in the spring, I know I have taken more aspirin lately than ever before.... only blood thinner I use.  I am my own doctor, wonder if that is as stupid as being one's own lawyer....?   :o

T-storm going on right now, big line running west of Wichita moving east so may be a while.  Cats are all in & my son is home from his Boy Scout camp out.  His son is no longer a scout... made Eagle, but Andy keeps his CPR certification updated to help the boys earn that badge.... besides, he loves to camp & enjoys the boys & other fathers/leaders.

Hal, do hope you feel better tomorrow, any chance you might be anemic?  That can slip up so easy, I read an article about more than 50% of over 65 are anemic.

Larry, sorry Pat had such pain today.  Tell her I'm sending a big hug & hope tomorrow is a good day.

Got the chuck roasts cooked & put just a few potatoes in.  Fixed some gravy with the "drippings" & hope I can find a place to put the whole big bowl in the freezer.  Tonight I will slice that eye of round & tenderize to freeze it.  I put it in little Ziplocs & put the whole bunch in a bigger freezer Ziploc so I can pull out any amount I want.  Been eating more chicken than beef & my body complains, not enough of the B vitamins in chicken. http://healthyeating.sfgate.com/health-advantage-beef-over-chicken-8898.html

Well, that was a quickie storm!  Already past and sun is shining.

June Drabek

Gloria de, my wonderful friend. I have been wondering where you were. Thought maybe the weather had you closed down. I am SO sorry to hear your heart was not being what it should be, and that you had to be hospitalized where you did not want to be. If you do not have close family to help you in cases like this, it may be well for you to have an attorney that can process a Power of Attorney for you. He could have it in writing, notarized, and when you are not capable of speaking for yourself, he would do it for you. Better if you had a relative that would do it, along with the attorney. My son has this for me, plus my attorney, in case something would happen to my son. It is not that costly, and it gives you rights when you cannot speak for yourself. I pray that you will heal quickly and be back home soon. I love you.

Tisie, ummmm. it smells good just reading about all the beef roasting away. To make it even worse my Santa Cruz son wrote that he was making a pork stew with all sorts of good veggies and wine for flavor. Your weather was perfect for all the warm cooking you did. And I just finished my reheated ham and sweet potatoes left over from lunch….plus a nice big slice of coconut cream pie. So I shan't complain.

The sun has gone to bed and it is getting quite cool, so I will close some windows, take some walks in the hallways, then get ready for bed and book.

I pray you all have a peaceful night, and a happy healthful tomorrow. More Hugs, Love and Prayers, always, June
As long as we are here, let's dance.

June, thanks for your words of encouragement.  I do try to ask each and every day that he direct and guide me each day.

GloriaD. I am so happy that you are out of the hospital and doing okay.  It was a shock to hear that you had been in and out of hospital and with a heart attack no less.

Tisie, I would think that the doctors would catch anemia as many blood test that I have, seems like they catch everything else.  But today was a humdinger, I think I could have slept all day long if I had let myself.  I felt pretty good when I got up and then after shaving and showering I felt like I had been pulled through a knothold backwards,.

We went to my Granddaughters for supper tonight and met their new dog, a special  breed that now escapes my memory, I think the shock of what she paid for it shook me all over, 1500 dollars.  Some people.........

Lloyd Hammond

halkel well look at the time I am up reading and posting? so i have not much room to talk, but I think your daughter has more money than since.
well i have no money or since either, at least i spent my money on tools and machinery , something that would pay for it's self except for my horses.
oh well I guess we all are entitled to one or two mistakes? have a great day.

Lloyd

I think i will go back to bed and hope I will wake up some smarter.
I am too crippled up to put my foot in my mouth so please forgive me.

Good morning everyone..

Weather dogs came in and said it is light drizzle out there, hope that it stays that way not go to freezing rain! Back to the vet this morning for Golden girls check up, the incision site is looking much better and she still has 10 days of antibiotics  to have. I have to eat crow at the vets, told the young lady it was easy to give GG a pill..she downs her glucosamine pill  in one gulp but this smaller one she spit right back out. Now I coat it in peanut butter and down it goes.

Larry, I hope Pat is feeling a lot better today..

Gloria de, glad your home, take it easy and rest.

Hal, hope today is much better for you also.,take it slow  and  rest when you feel the need to.

Lloyd, have a great day with no mishaps please.

June, sounds like your having better days and I bet your choir sounds lovely.

Shirley, like June you made my mouth water at the beef roasting.

Gloria, I like turnips, carrots and brussel sprouts that have had a bit of frost, sweetens them up also.

I miss Joan and hope she is improving day by day..keeping her in my prayers .

Jane, good morning hope today is special for you..

Enjoy your day everyone..

JaneS

Good Morning Everyfriend!  It's raining in Central PA and I slept poorly last night.  I was just very soundly asleep and my cell phone rang jolting me awake with the "WHAT'S WRONG!" thought running through my mind.  It was the power company reporting an outage in my area affecting almost 900 customers.  If they called all of them (even automatically) it must have taken a lot of time.  They said that they would notify us when it was back on and they were predicting 4:30 a.m.  I turned off the sound on my phone and tried to sleep again.  The result was those weird dreams that I have every time I try to go back to sleep.

Oh well, all's well now.  My kitchen clock says the power was back at 3:56 a.m.  If it hadn't been for the call, I wouldn't have known it was off until I saw the alarm clock this morning.

I hope Everyfriend has a lovely day filled with exactly what you wish for.

Amy, my weather dogs were damp this morning also.

Hi everyone on a bright and sunny South Carolina Monday morning.  It is already in the mid-60's and headed up into the low 80's this afternoon.  The only thing on my schedule today is my noon meeting.  I may stop on the way home to fill the car with gas and pick up an item or two at Costco.  I sure enjoyed the basketball games yesterday afternoon as both of the Carolina's won their games and are now in the Final Four next weekend.

I have a couple of links to share with you this morning.  One of them will really make your day as it features dogs and the other is a short performance probably like nothing you have ever seen.  I hope you will enjoy them:
     Puppy Power:  https://www.youtube.com/embed/SJoE_lNQdHU
      Unique Brass Band:  http://www.wimp.com/brassband/

June, Pat takes a muscle relaxant and half a pain pill and those help a bit but don't eliminate the pain.  She said a little bit ago that the pain wasn't as intense as it was over the weekend.

Gloria, reading your comment about freezing fruit made me realize I forgot all about the frozen fruit I fixed yesterday with my special machine.  I did have a cup of it yesterday and it is delicious.  There is nothing added to the frozen fruit so very healthy.  To bad your drug store can't get its act together and consolidate your orders.  What is a cabin tent?

Hal, sorry to see that after you prepared for Church you were too exhausted to go.  You sounds like my wife in that showering and fixing her hair wears her to a frazzle.  Hope you had a better afternoon.  That is certainly an expensive dog.

June, glad you were able to participate in the choir as it sang yesterday.

deAngel, sorry to see you have had to be back in the hospital with another heart attack.  I knew you had commented about not feeling well.  Sure glad to see you back posting but be easy on yourself and get the rest you need to recover.

Amy, hope you get a positive report on your dog today.

JaneS, your power company calling in the middle of the night is ridiculous.  If a person is sleeping it wakes them up and if they are not sleeping they are probably aware the power is off.  It is sort of like the weather bureau issuing a freeze alert that send you a loud message in the middle of the night.

A good Monday morning HELLO to EVERYFRIEND!

Thank you, JEANNE LEE, for starting us a new SS page to gather in, and the chuckles.  I, too, like your graphic, PHYLLIS.  THANK YOU.

Still no news about Our Joan.  Continued thoughts and prayers for her and the family.

GLORIA de, I am sorry to read about your heart attack and hospital stay.  I do hope you are feeling much better.

GLORIA, it makes me sad to think there will be no apple crop again this year! 😪

SHIRLEY, I also enjoy reading about your cooking as you prepare your food for your travels.  As you know,  I have enjoyed your yummy beef first hand, and know it is indeed very tasty.  Glad Andy still goes to teach the CPR to the scouts.  My grandson is working towards his Eagle and enjoying every bit of the training.

HAL, hope you are feeling stronger today.  As Our June does, you have to listen to your body and if you are too tired you just have to give the ol bod a rest!  How is the car repair coming along?

LARRY, thank you for the puppies and brass band.  I will look at them as soon as I am done here.  Appreciate you sharing them.  I do hope Pat is more comfortable today.  Thank you for your comment about our nice trip....we did indeed have a wonderful time.  I got the bags unloaded yesterday and the washing stack ready, but did not feel like getting started on it.  Maybe today.  We really did not have as much laundry as we had a washer and dryer there and kept up on it.

AMY, so good to know that the incision on the golden girl is looking much better.  I hope the vet agrees at the appointment today.

JANE, I am sorry they woke you up to tell you your power is out!  That certainly seems unnecessary.

JUNE, your Sunday sounded just about perfect.  I am happy for you, and hope your Monday is enjoyable too.

I am feeling a bit down today..... and was yesterdat.   I think that is normal after being away and is a combination of being tired and sad that it is over.

Have a good day.

Oops!  Looks as if I forgot to check in for the new week.  Had to go searching for it this morning.

JaneS,  if you have the app for automatically getting emergency alerts, your phone will ring no matter what the time is or what the "emergency" is - including Silver Alerts or Missing Child Alerts.  More than likely it's a robo call that goes out to everyone who has the app....which is why I don't have it.

Plan A was to do laundry and go out to do a bit of trimming and feeding in the "pot garden".  Haven't done either one yet.  Lazy Me!

Wishing Everyfriend Everywhere a Merry Monday.

JaneS

Hi Everyone.  Just as I finished typing in here, the power went off again and it just came back on.  My neighbor gave them 3 hours and then he called them.  The lady said "We have no projection as to when it will be back.  The problem is in the HIGH LINES where they come over the mountain."  It has been back on for about 20 minutes now....just long enough for me to make coffee and drink a cup.

Callie et all...I do have that app and my neighbor across the street has it too.  He does not get calls.  He gets text messages.  I'm going to change mine.  I want my phone nearby and I don't want it turned off because of family being scattered and I want to be available for them.

I had my shoes on and was picking up my purse to go out and do some errands and pick up coffee on my way.  I didn't have to go.  The lights came on before I got to the door.

GloriaDe, please take care of yourself.  I'm so sorry you had to spend some time in the hospital.  And everyone one else, please take care.  You are all my extended family and I care for you.  I know I don't say it as often as I should but I think it every day...several times a day!

Good morning everyone, another rainy gloomy day. This month of March sure has been fickle.

HAL  I have had days like you had yesterday. Got up and the coffee going, then shut it off and went back to bed. Hope today you feel better.

JUNE  I got a grocery order last week. Ordering online is easy, it is putting every thing away that is hard. Those black caterpillars we had last year stripped maples, oaks and even some pine trees. Not just fruit trees.

GLORIA de  sorry to read about your heart attack. Maybe the hospital is better with heart problems? Take care of yourself.

SHIRLEY  at the first sound of thunder I shut down my PC and TV. You make me jealous with all the cooking you do. I can hardly get my breakfast cooked anymore.

HAL  yikes that is a lot of $$ for a puppy.

LLOYD  putting your foot in your mouthâ€"good thing none  of us can do that.

AMY  at least you found a way to get the antibiotic pill into your Golden girl. It is pouring here this morning. I love yellow turnip-period. I know the longer carrots can stay in the ground the better the flavor. We all miss Joan and will be happy to see her return to us.

JANE  like you I would not like a call at that time of morning. I would wonder which family member was ill or in the hospital. It has been raining here all day.

LARRY  I love the second one-the brass band.I had seen the puppy one before and loved seeing it again. Thanks.

JENNY  makes me sad too to think of no apple crop again for my son. He still has to take care of the trees and spray them. The chemicals have more than tripled in price since he started.

CALLIE  looks like my daughter will be like you and have a “pot” garden this year. She figures this year will be experimental to see what will brow there. The soil is clay so will take time to have soil to plant in. One of their neighbors has goats and a big compost pile. They will do some swapping with him for a pick up truck load this year.

My CNA  has been here and just left. Do not think it ever took me so long to do a post, bout 4 hours.

Good Monday Morning dear hearts, already afternoon in the East. I took a needed shower and shampoo this morning, and honestly, doing a simple chore like that is getting to be like major surgery. I have to "prepare" for it..like place a bath towel in my walker, before starting to shower, so when I finally step out I can collapse in the the walker in order to dry myself off. Then comes the need for skin lotion and special leg lotion for these poor old discolored legs, and feet. by that time I am plopped down in my recliner and recovering. I have cut my straight hair to just below the ears, so no need to fuss with that..a comb will do it. Old age is NOT for sissies.

Gloria, I never did order my groceries for the coming month. Been eating downstairs more regularly and less at home. I think your daughter is wise to test the soil by pot gardening to see how things react to the clay soil. Bet she could Google "clay soil planting" and get some good hints.

Jane, is it weather conditions that are causing your power outages ? If so, it is pretty "iffy" as to when it will be repaired. Is it wide spread in your city ?

Callie, my Merry Monday will be a nice slow plodding along. But so very thankful that I can do what I do, and be here to complain about it. I have no other plans for today…one hour at a time.

Jenny, Sweetie, it does take time to readjust after being away and in a different environment like you were…must be sort of a let down not having that cute pup to care for. I'm glad you are safely home though, so just take it easy for a few days.

Larry, I am happy that your Pat is feeling better today. With these bruised ribs I can associate with her problem. I don't hesitate to take my double strength Tylenol when needed. I was assured that it is O.K. to use it as directed.

Amy, you were so wise to use the peanut butter as a coating for that pill. I can see where just the odor alone would entice her to swallow it all down. I miss our Bis/Joan too..so very much. Her health is so fragile and she does so much for us in spite of not being strong, and always cheerful..never gripes or complains. I pray God heals her up very quickly and completely.

I have run out of chatter, so I will go take a walk, and get ready for a noon time lunch.  ;)
As long as we are here, let's dance.

Good afternoon, still raining. this will be short. I am still very tired, and average getting 3 hours sleep each night.

thanks Amy, Hal, June, Larry Jane and Gloria. Hope I did not leave anyone out.  all your messages mean so much to me.  As I have said before, you are my family.   My neighbors also have been great to me. I am feeling better. See my doctor on thursday.
Yes Sontybrook  is a very large Hospital, next to the U.. It is know for its heart unit. It was no one told me that I was going there

I do have to tell you, I got a bill for 6 cents, from Target. Thought you might need a bit of humor.   See you all later.

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Feeling somewhat better today, took things pretty easy this morning and lay on the couch most of the morning.

I am not sure what our weather is going to do and I am not sure the weather guys do either.  Possible t-storms, sunshine this afternoon, possible rain showers tonight and tomorrow possible severe t-storms, so Eeny, meeny, miny, moe, your choice.

Jenny, don't take car in until the 10th of April and then they will take five days to repair so they say.

June eating downstairs sounds like a good idea to me.  You have some company at mealtimes and I am sure better nourishment than a quick/easy meal you prepare, if you are like me.

Gloria, your son more than likely loves messing around in his orchard and a good crop is an added bonus.  When I lived in Del Rio I had a very big yard and had eight peach trees; also, a plumb tree, but didn't have a mate for it so it never had fruit.  But I was always messing with them and believe it or not people were so lazy they wouldn't come over a pick the fruit when I offered it for free.  I tried to get my girls to pick it and sit up a little stand in the front yard and sell it for pocket money.  No way..

Well I hope everyone has a great day.

Gloria de, I didn't realize you were writing from home, I thought you were still in the hospital. I hope you have someone to check in on you.

Hal, I usually go downstairs for the noon meal. I prefer to have my breakfast at home, and always have a supply of food on hand. Today I had enough lunch that I brought half of it home. Turkey melt on Sour dough bread, soup, fruit salad, v 8 juice and residing in my little fridge is a butterscotch Sunday, so you can see I am not starving. We never lack for company here, Hal. No matter where one goes there is always someone to chat with. I had an orange tree in my back yard that would go wild with huge, juicy, sweet oranges. I would put a box out by the mail box, and the neighbors and "walkers" would just help themselves. Those high in the trees would end up on the ground.

I had a nice long nap after lunch, now I have some pills delivered to swallow down, then I am going for another walk-around.
